I watched this series as I started to tile a new shower, thank you for making it so easy to follow and the instructions clear and concise... I can't wait to see how my shower turns out...
Love the shade of grout used. It's very soothing and pulls everything together. The shower fixture is an absolute wonderful touch as well instead of a brushed nickel or chrome. I have always used water as hot as I could handle and three buckets to keep the cleaning process quicker and less hazing. Besides, good sponges, I also use a terry cloth type material along with large microfiber cloth which takes the haze off quicker. One other thing I do is keep my cleaning items as described above separate. Sanded and unsanded. I have found that no matter how well you think you rinsed one out, even with a hose, sand can still be present and if you have a glass inlay or something, it can scratch the service. (It is a silica sand base) I still use a haze remover after the grout is dry in case areas are missed. Every bit helps to make that showroom look. You did an awesome job as always. Have a wonderful holiday weekend Josh.👍🏻
Hey David! I appreciate your adding tips for removing the grout haze. That is the cool thing about construction, there are so many ways to do a task and it’s great how people can learn from each other. I hope you have a awesome holiday weekend as well. Thanks for watching!
I have watched several videos on how to install tile, and I must say your videos were the most informative. You simplified every step. Keep the videos coming!
I never would have tried a tile shower without these videos. Thank you!I don't know how you stay so clean. I look like I was swimming in mortar. Also my cuts never come out as clean as yours - lots of chips even with a new blade.
yeah man ... man this series has been the best .... you show everything and LOVE your perfection and also impressed all the time how you have grown the channel. Hope you had a perfect summer and all this extra work editing vids on the projects really shows
I do love doing tile work. It does take a lot of time but it is very enjoyable to see the finished product. I hope your construction jobs are going well. I hope you have had a good summer too. Mine has been busy but good! Good luck on your projects!
Great series for the bathroom remodel. The gap between tile and shower pan seems large 1/4”+. Is there a reason 1/8”+ spacer was not enough for you? Thanks.
No 1/8 inch spacer is fine. Reason why it was a little wider there is because the shower pan actually had a bow in it. The center of the shower pan was actually right at an eighth. Good eye!
I am getting ready to do this to my shower. Im nervous. Do you set the tiles directly on the shower pan? Or do I need to put a spacer between the tile and the shower pan?
@@TheExcellentLaborer Something I recommend for you in electrical is try new things. I love your electrical videos but if you tried different stuff I would love it even more. One of those things is, maybe try brands. (Smoke alarms, lights, receptacles, etc.)
@@mewing-gawd thanks a lot for the advice on what you would like me to see! that is exactly what I had in mind. There’s so many products and different ways of doing things electrical videos will be endless. But Electric is one of the many steps to the house. Thanks again!
My girlfriend watches ASMR cooking videos on youtube shorts and on FB. You would be a great channel to start a Quick cut ASMR building videos. Quick Jump cuts of tiling or woodworking with high definition audio and video of the Drills and Saws and a beautiful finished product. If you want to grow your youtube channel with some RUclips shorts or even get into Tiktok or Instagram with shorter form content.
This was the best Instructional video for tiling that I have seen. Very thorough and easy to follow.
I spent my afternoon watching this whole series. Looking forward to more videos.
Thanks Jay. Enjoy the series!
Just finished tiling and grouting. These videos are great. I learned all I needed to do the job. Great series!

I appreciate the videos they have helped me tremendously.
I have learned a lot of your videos about diy thanks for sharing
Thanks for letting me know. Good luck on your projects!
Missed a step with that shower kit but it’ll be ok…for awhile. Great video 👍🏽
It’s human nature to forget a thing or two. Don’t sweat it. Just fix it and move on. Thanks for watching!
I use a grout removal blade for my oscillating tool to clean up grout. I do 1/8 grout joints though. Great videos though
Looks good.
Thank you! I appreciate you taking your time to let me know!
Great job .. color is spot on. The only thing I would do is pull out those blue restrictive plastic pieces in the shower head.
Thanks John on the color compliment! OK thanks for the input. Take care!
Denatured alcohol works better than water for the finger swipe.
I like how you work
And how do you explain
Excelente 👌

Hi. Enjoy your videos. Do you have any on shower niches? I searched but didn’t see one. Do you just do shelves instead of niches?
New subscriber & love this channel! Is there a better tile to use for a shower? Porcelain, ceramic or does it matter?
Sir nice job, how many days you do that shower room?
In another video for this series he said 2 weeks for this shower.
Been setting tile 23 years I Albuquerque,NM
First comment thanks Josh
Strong work Mohamed! Thanks for watching💪🏻

These videos never tell you how to deal with the 2 weep holes on the shower pan flange....
No no no, always use silicone in any grout where walls meet! You can thank me later.
Did you notice the hole in your jeans??!! 😛🤪
What do you put on the top joint between the tile and ceiling grout or silicone.?!
Never grout. It will crack. Use caulk. It stretches with movement. No cracks.
Always use silicone in any grout where walls, floors and ceilings meet!
