    This was the best Instructional video for tiling that I have seen. Very thorough and easy to follow.

    Love the shade of grout used. It's very soothing and pulls everything together. The shower fixture is an absolute wonderful touch as well instead of a brushed nickel or chrome.
    I have always used water as hot as I could handle and three buckets to keep the cleaning process quicker and less hazing. Besides, good sponges, I also use a terry cloth type material along with large microfiber cloth which takes the haze off quicker. One other thing I do is keep my cleaning items as described above separate. Sanded and unsanded.
    I have found that no matter how well you think you rinsed one out, even with a hose, sand can still be present and if you have a glass inlay or something, it can scratch the service. (It is a silica sand base)
    I still use a haze remover after the grout is dry in case areas are missed. Every bit helps to make that showroom look. You did an awesome job as always. Have a wonderful holiday weekend Josh.👍🏻

      Hey David! I appreciate your adding tips for removing the grout haze. That is the cool thing about construction, there are so many ways to do a task and it’s great how people can learn from each other. I hope you have a awesome holiday weekend as well. Thanks for watching!

    I have watched several videos on how to install tile, and I must say your videos were the most informative.
    You simplified every step.
    Keep the videos coming!

    I never would have tried a tile shower without these videos. Thank you!I don't know how you stay so clean. I look like I was swimming in mortar. Also my cuts never come out as clean as yours - lots of chips even with a new blade.

    Great series for the bathroom remodel. The gap between tile and shower pan seems large 1/4”+. Is there a reason 1/8”+ spacer was not enough for you? Thanks.

    • @TheExcellentLaborer
      @TheExcellentLaborer  2 года назад +1

      No 1/8 inch spacer is fine. Reason why it was a little wider there is because the shower pan actually had a bow in it. The center of the shower pan was actually right at an eighth. Good eye!

  • @1daltizer

    I am getting ready to do this to my shower. Im nervous. Do you set the tiles directly on the shower pan? Or do I need to put a spacer between the tile and the shower pan?

    My girlfriend watches ASMR cooking videos on youtube shorts and on FB. You would be a great channel to start a Quick cut ASMR building videos. Quick Jump cuts of tiling or woodworking with high definition audio and video of the Drills and Saws and a beautiful finished product. If you want to grow your youtube channel with some RUclips shorts or even get into Tiktok or Instagram with shorter form content.
