Thanks so much for the feedback. If I broke it apart into a Windmill Quilt, a Flower Quilt and the Windmill in the Garden, then each section would get more information. The Windmill quilt would show some other possible motif arrangements along with more color choices such as how it would look made with scraps. The second and third quilts might have been merged into one depending on how many extra layouts I could find with the flower motif. There was additional information that I left out to keep this video to 11 minutes. My numbers show that people don't hang around for videos longer than that. I could have easily made three 6-minute videos.

Thank you for your work! This short video does provide a good over view of where one can take this block(s). Having a more focused video(s) might be helpful (but not necessary longer than 8-10 minutes) for details in making variations. However, this one video is a helpful introduction to the block and can stand on its own.

If you wanted “more” releases, you could do it in 2-3 parts but let everyone know there’s “more to come!” Show blocks made in different colors that you plan on using and use that specific one for the next tutorial, ending up with your multi colored quilt.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't think I was clear in the video. There wouldn't be an issue with missing a video. Each shorter video would be stand alone. One would be just Windmill block, then one would be just flowers and one would be flowers and pinwheels together. Each of the 3 designs would be more in depth. The one with the windmills in the garden would have all the information to make the quilt, but maybe not the red white and blue windmill only quilt. That would be in the first video along with more windmill options like if it was made as a scrap quilt.

  • @lindawalker2490

The idea wouldn't be that it would have to wait. I would have one video with just the pinwheel. Maybe try other color combinations and layouts. But just the pinwheel. Then another video with just the flowers and here is where I would try 3 color flowers. Finally a video showing a quilt with flowers and windmills. Each of the three options would be their own video.

    Tough choice!
I like your presentations, but I REALLY liked this video when you added that three-color block.
You have so much energy that I miss not seeing you often.
However, as you get more used to this format, it seems reasonable to assume that everything will get easier, faster, quicker.
I would be willing to wait just to see what colors you choose for the three-color alternative.
I may not have been able to give you a definite yea or nay, but I do hope you are encouraged by my response.

Thanks so very much for all the kind words, you are so very sweet. I am glad that you are willing to wait for a more expansive video. A lot of it will depend on how much I find in the pattern. I am going to look for a simpler design for the next video and see what happens.

This is amazing. I love the new pattern in all ways but the Windmill in the garden is the best. Such an easy block turned into such a beauty. I would like the longer video to learn all about the possibilitys the new block is offering. Thank you Brita for this wonderful design, happy quilting ❤🥰

I like how you experiment and show what a block looks like in a quilt, and how it can be rearranged, etc. or changed color. I like the longer video because it tells me so much more how to ponder the possibilities of a block. I’m not good at visualizing how things will look.

Thank you for another great video. Glad to hear that the delay was due to production and nothing more serious. Either way you would like to do your videos is fine with me…..but I will admit that when you were putting them out every month it gave me something to look forward to on RUclips.

Thank you so very much. I am touched by your concern, you are so sweet. I did get Covid in December, then I kept finding more stuff to add to this video. Hopefully I can get the next one out more quickly. LOL.

I like the longer videos. The flower blocks remind me of a fat Old Susanna block. I have a half-hexi template. I'm going to experiment with that to see if I can use it to make these blocks. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the reply. I just looked up the Old Susanna block. You are right that it is very similar. Let me know how your experiment comes out!
