Thank you for the idea on how to figure out the three way, so much easier than measuring. I started making these a few years ago and they are all sewed, but not cut. I am taking them out this weekend and working on them. I love your color scheme too.

Beautiful quilt! Can this be done with charm packs instead of layer cakes?
The theory would be the same but the pieces would be quite tiny.
@@barbarabaker346 I mean using the charms to make the HST instead of doing the 4 at a time method with the 10” square.

What size is the half square if I don't have a layer cake?
Look on the website. If we have this pattern it will have all you need

That is a broken dishes quilt block, not an hour glass that you started with. An hour glass block only has 4 triangles, the broken dishes has 8. I do love your finished block.

Pretty line; I'm a sucker for anything in a rainbow spectrum on black. I really want to encourage you to demonstrate your pressing and not just say "press it". You speak quickly and it could be missed, or interpreted as optional because they don't see that step. You have a lot of beginners out there who would do better with visuals.
