- Today we went trucking through farmers fields hauling liquid manure to spread on the crops. We are basically making a custom farm delivery and why not pull these manure tankers in my long nosed Peterbilt 379 semi truck.

this is insane!!
It’s fun too brotha 😬🙌
It's great that you float, but you shift 200 RPM's to early for each gear.
Really? So you wind them up higher to shift ?
@@guyinatruck Yup, usually 1750. It's nowhere near the redline, and I have more leeway when fully loaded going up a steep hill. At your low RPM, the turbo isn't even fully spooled.
If you get that Peterbilt. You’ll be able to make it your own. Putting 359 headlights and a sun visor. New seats. Along with some stacks etc etc. I feel like you can customize that Pete way more then you could any other brand. In a year or 2 you could have that Pete all custom!
That’s true brother I would def pimp that Pete out no doubt! I just wouldn’t know where to start lol
🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
Are you still pulling the milk tanker? I've been pulling food grade tankers (mainly milk) since 2001. I'm a company driver for a smallish (150 truck) company in Idaho. I tried pulling a reefer last year, but there's something comforting about that SURGE! 😂
Yessir still yanking this tanker around full of milk 🥛 me and my son are doing an overnight run to Indiana right now and man that surge is kicking our tail tonight 😬 I do reefers here and there too
Twin turbo or single?
I drive a 06 379 with a 550 c15 Acert cat. She’s got 1.4 million on her. But if you take care of petes. They take care of you
How do you like that CAT Acert motor? I just love these engines, powerhouses! This one has 1.4 million on it too. And it just had 20k put into it a month ago blew the turbo etc., I agree though you take care of them they seem to last forever
@@guyinatruck absolutely love it.. I enjoy the low end power. Not having to rev it to 2k like a Detroit lol. I run right between 13 to 15 hundred rpm and she just pulls.
Nice! I'm in a 2019 Volvo mid-roof VNL. As you know, they are pretty worthless after 600k. I have 100k left, before the company trades it for a new one. Believe it ot not, Volvo made decent truck engines back in the day. Enter the emissions Era, and you'll understand why Cat stopped making new truck motors. Now the FEDS are even stopping PACARR from making glider kits. Hang on to your truck!! Cause the new ones (even Perterbuilts) are worthless after 600k.
@@Keepingthefaith120yea they are pulling machines!
@@arcademania7544yes sir emissions ruined these beautiful motors. Suffocates them
