    Just got my Force and your video's have been a godsend so far! Still trying to to wrap my head around the main structure, but you have been a great help so far. The workaround for warping you show here is genius!

      Yeah the velocity trick is great and can also be used on samples for samples start and cutoff for example. I have another video about slicing drumloops which shows that. Thanks for watching James!

      @stevewoywitka3258 That is also a great way and you do have more control but this is waaayyy faster and easier. Especially if you want to have it in an existing drum track

    That's mad how it works out dividing the velocity up over 16 steps and it starts in the right place, but i guess dividing 127/16 gives you almost 8. Is there a way to see where the start point will fall for any velocity value i wonder?
    Guess you could take your total sample count and just divide it by 8 to get a near as number.
    I have a load of wavetable samples that I've sampled from old synths like the Ensoniq Fizmo and VFX that only really work in the original synth engines where it can controllably step through the wavetable at the correct sample point. Only thing with those is they might not be equally spaced at the transitions. Also the start and end points would be loopable.
    Guess can play about with chop mode as well, not sure if you can loop each slice individually. Not really played with that.
    Last time i tried to play about with sample start position it crashed! But that was a number of firmware releases ago.
    Will have to fire it up and have a play again :)

    • @Expectaz
      @Expectaz  4 месяца назад +1

      I think you can loop individual slices when the pads are set to note mode. Great idea! Might try that
