I'm running 35's on my beast and was told by GMC there is no way to recalibrate the onboard computer for the speedo. I also asked because I upgraded the onboard fuel tank to 67 gallons from stock. I think they were just lazy and didn't/don't want to take the time out to do it. I found out that with the 35's, I'm going about 10% more than the speedo. If speedo says 60, GPS says 66 and so on. Confirmed by State Trooper that when I had cruise control set to 65, he clocked me at 71. So, ballpark, 10%. Be safe!!
Love how you present all the numbers…. Temps, weights, pressure, mpg. Really appreciated that in your Nissan frontier towing video too.
General Motors give the man his camera, lol
Yea! I can't believe it's missing the camera!
Keep in mind that your tire pressures impact your load rating - so at max PSI you are at max load rating noted on the tire - as you drop your PSI, your load rating reduces - so while you may want to run lower PSI than max when not towing for better ride quality - when you add big load you want to up your PSI to be closer to max to have tire at load rating to handle your load. Most tire mfg. have a table you can get directly from them what load rating for tire is at various PSI - especially for trailer tires.
Nice video. Pops just didn’t want to hurt your feelings on the exhaust brake. I mean you are really wearing me out with this! It literally was at the speed you had set plus 4000 rpm. What more do you want? Lol.
Also the dually is compensating massively for the 37s and low air pressure. You would have a lot different results if that was a SRW.
I love the truck and the color matching and all that but I stand by you ruined it with the level and 37s lol. You know we’re friends and all but it’s true facts brother.
Next hotshot rig operator you see tell him you have the ultimate tow rig he should copy. 37's and a leveling kit!
This is not the first Chevy I've seen recently that was missing an option on the sticker. No parts, just send it down the line.😂
37's do have an effect on towing. I'd enjoy learning how they affect towing in this video.
Man , every single video I watch from you is great. All the the details I need. Thanks by the way
Truck looks quite nice and clean build. Great setup to get a toy hauler off road to where you want to be. I've been in some interesting spots with all 4 wheels spinning pulling my trailer in 4 low. I have 35's on a 2500hd and tow behind toy hauler. Everything is getting old with my gear all bought in the 2000's so I started watching your channel to learn about all the new toys.
MD Represent! Hopefully I'll see ya around! I found your videos because I'm getting ready to pick up a 20 RAM 3500 lifted 3-4" on 37's, was concerned about towing my 5er 40ft camper.
On the RAM, the exhaust brake is nasty. I love it, and on 5" turbo back, she sounds goooood.
The reason Ram/Cummins has such a good exhaust brake is because Cummins invented the exhaust brake.
Towing with diesel is boring 😂 i just smile and laugh when passing a gas truck thats screaming.
Great details are you thinking about upgrading the down and up pipes plus boost tubes soon? Would be great to see the difference between the two options factory vs upgrading
That’s Parley’s Canyon between Salt Lake City and Park City and that grade is no joke.
I am curious, with the 37’s and the extra added height of the truck. Was the trailer riding level or nose up? And with the Reese goose box what is your bed clearance?
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the exhaust brake in these trucks. I have owned all three and GM works better and more consistantly every time. Just a fact.
Great video👍
Nice, man I want to get me a dually but they are hard to find and when I do find one someone have bought it already.
How did you get a diesel Dually for $78k I’m looking at single wheel 2024 trucks for $89k?
Can you explain more on the tire pressure on the screen.
My favorite!
Nice truck
What oil did you use for your oil change?
A- ffect.
Not E- ffect.
ahaha I came here for the same reason
Get it 265
Low tire pressure less mileage more drag
Id say you still don't know if you lost any towing performance. You have already demonstrated in the past that an SRW truck pulls your fifth wheel fine, so its no surprise that a dually does too even if it has lost some of its peak performance. I still don't have a clue why you did the level and big tires in the first place. To my knowledge those things serve no purpose other than looks and I personally wouldn't be buying a dually and putting up with the downsides of that unless I really needed it. Leveling a truck just seems foolish to me.
To each their own as I always say. If you like your truck stock, by all means keep it that way. At the same time many guys including myself don't like the cookie cutter look that stock provides. We enjoy personalizing our trucks and making them our own.
Don't pull nothing
