@@malingustavsson7925 Messier certainly would be a good pick, all things considered. But Gretzky? He only played three years in New York. Two of them were excellent, and one was just kind of okay. I think that it's pretty inarguable than Lundqvist's career *as a Ranger* was better than Gretzky's.
Was hoping the Organization would find a way to keep him that way the Prince Igor would be right there with him as the next best goalie but we may still have that rooting for the Caps to win ir all for the King and Rangers losing Georgie in expansion draft to Kraken and King back in NYC after 1 yr, I know wishful thinking!!!

My laptop background for about 5 years was the picture of him face down in defeat as the Kings celebrated their 2014 cup. Still happy we won the cup but now feel just a little bit sad that i loved that picture so much :/

I really hope he'll be able to play at least one more game in the MSG in the future with fans in the stands. He'd probably get the biggest and warmest welcome any opposition goalie has ever gotten.
When he took over in net I was 13, it was a privilege watching him play. You always felt like there was a chance with #30 between the pipes, thankfully #31 is starting to give that feeling as well
There has been no greater experience being at MSG and hearing the loud chants....Henrik after another exciting save that changed the momentum of a game. What an amazing opportunity to watch the best at his craft and wish it could go on forever. Thank you for the great memories Hank!!
Not a Rangers fan but I’m definitely a fan of the King 👑 . honestly one of the best goalies to ever play the game! Always so fun to watch and when he plays against one of my favourite teams he really pisses me off. But that just goes to show how good he is because he wouldn’t piss me off if he sucked 😂. I hope to see Hank in a uniform of a team I cheer for to close of his fantastic NHL Career, hopefully with a Stanley Cup because he’s super deserving of it probably the most deserving out of all active NHL players.

Hank, you'll no doubt have a position in the organization the second you decide to hang up the pads. You bleed blue inside and out, as does your family. You're true New Yorkers, and I can't wait for your number to be raised to the MSG rafters. It will be a celebration like no other. The fan in me hopes you'll stay and be a part of the organization for next season, but if you do sign elsewhere, chase that cup and know all of NYC is with you. Long live the KING!

Henrik Lundqvist won Olympics and was in one more final. Won world champions with Sweden. He have nothing to prove. He don't need to win Stanley cup. He already won everything else.

If Lundqvist would've been drafted for a more quality franchise and a smarter GM, his trophy shelf would've been huge. Now he was drafted by NYR with $ather and this is what he got. Still a fantastic career.

It's said he's already decided to continue in the NHL and at least one team is interested. The source also said he's been playing with kids in front of him xD If he gets to play in a team with a proper defense he has at least one solid season in him. I would love to see him in Vegas with Fleury looking to go. Lundqvist and Lehner are childhood friends and his father trained Lundqvist 5 seasons in Frölunda. The team is a serious contender and the arena offers an atmosphere worthy of king. Provided the current situation in the world gets over with so he gets to experience having their support. But they have to want him first and he has to go there second.

I still can’t believe this is how it ends. It was one more year, they could’ve waited it out.
It was a mutual ending. Rangers offered him to stay and play as backup to Igor but he wants to starts so the deal was made for a buy out.
Whaaaaa, Hank has been done for years now, time to move on.
