What a beautiful mausoleum. It is hard to believe the beautiful Aaliyah has been gone for 20 years. It was surprising how many celebrities are in this cemetery. Thanks for sharing with us.
I remember hearing of Aaliyah's passing and I balled as if a member of my family died. She was my favorite and her music brought me through a lot. She'll forever be a icon and I still listen to her music as much now as I did then. Heavy D was another one of my favorites, we've lost so many good ones. 🥺 Thank you so much for bringing me here so I can pay my virtual respect, I'm so grateful you do what you do, thank you Scott. ❤️
Aaliyah was amazing. Talk about being taken too soon. I can only imagine what else she would've created for us to listen too. So tragic. Sidenote: Scott, I like how you incorporated other famous people in this video. So versatile, yet it still flows. Also love the symbolism of a rock on a grave. I get why you didn't leave one this time though.
Heavy D and Aaliyah were two and still are two of my absolute favourites. Pioneers in the industry that still influence artists. Toss in Run DMC (my first rap tape ever was Tougher than Leather), and you’ve just inspired another playlist for the phone…well done!
Aaliyah no words to describe how talented and amazing she was her sound was off the charts! Even today no one in my eyes can compare to her one and a million ❤️ RIP baby girl
I remember watching MTV( when they actually showed/played music) and it going across the screen that she passed. So sad she was so gorgeous, so talented- it’s very tragic. Absolutely Beautiful where she is. Thank you for taking us🙏🏻
Ferncliff is amazing. Just the entry doors to the main mausoleum are gorgeous. I was there over a 2 day period in 2004. I walked the halls and researched who was buried there before hand. Joan Crawford , the Revson family, Madame Chang Kai shek,Basil Rathbone and many more. They really rich have little private rooms. The ground burials are hard to find. Your vids are top notch! I look forward to all of them.
This is where Judy Garland was interred at, until her children and grandchildren had her moved to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Hollywood behind Paramount Pictures Studios. Other famous interments there are Adolph Cesar who won the best supporting actor Oscar for the movie “A Soldiers Story”, plus was the voice on a cartoon show “Silver Hawks” where he voiced the character of “Hot Wing”and another is “Moms Mabley” who was on one of first stand up comedians and was in an HBO documentary drama that was hosted and produced by Whoopi Goldberg. Plane was overloaded with too many people and equipment where it couldn’t take off easily and crashed. Don’t forget She also did a movie with Jet Li called “Cradle to the Grave” and also “Queen of the Dammed” off of one of the late Anne Rice’s books.
You Deserve A Hall Of Fame Award In Honoring The Legacy Of Our Favorite Famous People Thankyou Scott Of Reminding Us Why We Love Them Before And After Becoming Famous. God Bless You
Hi Scott! Her father is actually interred in the crypt directly above hers..I miss her so much..she was a beautiful soul! I think the other two spots is for her mother and brother… Malcom X has inspired a lot of men such as Judge Greg Mathis..
What a varied group of people. I think I remember when they moved Judy Garland to Hollywood Forever since there would be more room for other family members to be laid to rest there near her. Malcom X lived in my town (Lansing, Michigan) for a time. I drive by the plaque in town quite often. I hope you are staying healthy and warm and are no where near the monster storm we are having here in the U.S. Thank you for this very interesting video Scott and have a great night. Blessings - Judith 🎭🎵
What a beautiful video Scott. Baby girl was definitely taken way too soon. Her music will always live on through her fans new and old ❤️lots of love from Illinois ❤️
I love Aaliyah, I’m now 42 and can still sing every word lol. She was also the reason so many of us women wore the tops of our thongs out of the tops of our jeans.
James Baldwin, Yul Brenner, Joan Crawford, Jim Henson, Alan Freed, Moms Mabley, Paul Robeson, Oscar Hammerstein.....Thank you Scott for another awesome video💟
What a beautiful cemetery Scott. I can't believe it's been 20 years since Aaliyah died. I can only imagine what an impactful career she would have had. Rest in peace to everyone who left too soon. ❤️

Thank you so much I’ll definitely be going back to do a video just about Malcolm X. It was very humbling being there and to be honest I was in shock as I was not expecting to visit his grave that day

Hey Scott! Great video. So glad you went back and put that rock on Jam Master J. Whew! Have you ever heard of putting a quarter on the grave? I’ve heard you do that if you were at the funeral. We did that for my Daddy. He’s buried at the military cemetery in Pegram, TN. Absolutely beautiful place. Thanks for showing us around! ❤️
