  • The stock tires on the Ridstar are not up to the task of being reliable. In this video, I review a great replacement, Ultraverse 20x4.0.

I second everything you said in this video, but I can't emphasize enough how much of a gamer changer these tires are compared to the stock balloons that come on it. As you said, they inspire confidence while cornering, they grip great, my puncture anxiety is pretty much gone and my overall range dropped a hair. VERY worth it trade off for the piece of mind imo.

Thanks you're videos helped me alot. The first day I got the bike I got a flat! Such cheap crap the stock tires are. I just purchased these ultraverse tires with the ultraverse tubes, and tire liners as well. I want my Q20 to be as reliable as possible!

I suggest you to use "sahara motorcycle tire sealant" I used this product and works very well it also helps in balancing your tires.

Nice review. I have run Heb Allscapes on my PHilodo H8 over the last year. These look similar to them, so I am going to try them out. I have about 5k miles on them and they still look new, so I will probably get 7-8k miles on them which is worth the extra cost. My stock tires on my new bike are just about wore out at 2k miles. They make the stock tires as thin as possible. I used to get about 4-5k out of them, but not anymore. You do sacrifice a little range, I also sacrificed a little pep. However, I put flatout in the tire as well and I think I put too much in. This time I will go without the flatout and see how it goes. 😀

The little loss is worth it for reliability. Ride safe.

I don't have an answer for you. I know Canada gets quite cold. I think my best suggestion is to take the edge off the cold would be to put a tarp over it, and put a small personal heater inside the tent.

I love your channel love the q20 but I'm in between this and the enguwe m20 just for upgrading in the future but the q20 has better specs all around I'm torn the only video I've seen on upgrading the q20 the guy was cutting metal and installing the secondary battery under the bike

I understand completely. For me, I wanted the most amp hour I could get with the most motor I could get. Amp hour gets you mileage, and motor will get you speed and power to get up the hills. A 750 watt motor will take less energy, but I can run a 1000 watt motor at a lower level to get the same efficiency, but the 750 watt can never get me the speed. As to accessories for the Q20, it is kind of bare. Let me know what you do.

How are the tires doing now? I bought Mongoose last year to replace my stock slick tires but the rear one needs replacing already and only 2000+ miles. Maybe do an update on the tires so far. Thanks.

Would love to do an update, but the bike we were running them on, the $3000+ Pedal (that's the brand) broke and the company is now ghosting us. So... I will be starting a new set of them this week. Sorry I don't have more on this.

@@Ridstar_Q20 got a flat from a screw my first ride on a new faster e bike i doubt these would stop the screw that got me but maybe deflect it or at the very least it would protect the rim better after a flat

Hi there. Is there something to protect the q20 from the cold weather? That’s because I’m living in Toronto Canada and here is very cold, frozen weather and I have to leave my e-bike outside during the day. (I take the battery out from the e-bike) So, what do you recomend me?

I would park your q20 inside your house because i think parking a ebike outside would do some rusting/damage from the elements/weathering overtime. just some advice because cold weather has put some cosmetic wear and tear on my old BMXs and has even ruined the chains (still have to buy a new set of chains lol)
