Great info. Just finished spraying exterior of 69 Biscayne and it’s trunk time. This “spatter” has grey fleck not aqua like original but may go with grey as well as Zolatone doesn’t offer aqua fleck. Thanks for your video. Well done. Cheers

Also, what tip do you like to use in your primer gun to apply Zolatone spatter paint?

2.0 or larger, a rocker shutz gun works too but sprays a lot of material. I use my 3m accuspray with pressure cup, but that setup is expensive , but I use it for many applications.
2 quarts will be enough, I always put down a good base color for easy coverage with the zolatone

How much Zolatone is used to spatter a big trunk like your Caprice? I've read that a quart should do it but that seems like it might not be enough. What do you think?

Nice Video. Did you use more than a quart? Do you need to primer the first?

Good to put down a primer coat, dark fret or black depending on the color of the splatter color. It takes more then a quart for a caprice or Impala, to get the proper coverage

I understand that the product is used straight out of the can without reduction but is Zolatone oil or water based? Have you ever used the oil based spatter from The Parts Place? If so what do you think of it?

Yes, I used that on the 68 cutlass featured in some videos. Basically the same product. I say stay away from trunk splatter aerosols.

A close up of the finished product would have been nice.. but nonetheless, great work.
