    I think those are pretty easy but just every headliner is hard on the body. Reaching up is always hard. a steamer does wonders with the smaller wrinkles. if you have any.

    Keep up the good work I know those shrivel wrinkle spots would come out I guess you steam it and massaged it away.

    Nice video, this will help me on my '67 Nova. Do you cement material directly to the sail panel boards, or is there some backing?

    • @garylamont898
      @garylamont898  10 месяцев назад

      Yes glue the sail panel and the fabric no pad on older cars

    What is the glue you used to do this? The one we used on our 1971 Charger didn't work that slick?
    Thanks for the help

    the part none of the videos show is when they make the cuts for the side dome lights like on a 67 impala. I'm assuming the cut has to be big enough for the light to come through? do you have a video showing how to do that part?

    Hey Gary
    Great video. How long of work time do you have before glue sets up

    • @garylamont898
      @garylamont898  Год назад

      About 30 seconds

    Good enough video for me to have the confidence to try this on my '65 Chevelle. I discovered a nice family of mice moved in this winter.
    Since I'm not an upholsterer and don't have a spray glue gun, is there a canned contact cement you would recommend?

    • @randymacsgarage
      @randymacsgarage Год назад +2

      I'm not a pro like this cat but I live in the desert and did my 38 Chevy truck and I used a 3-M product called spray 90 don't get the spray 70 it is not as strong LOWES has it and the head liner has been up for 9 years now so hope that helps.

      I don’t use any canned glue I never had much luck with it

      @@randymacsgarage the 3m 90 spray, does it allow you to streach the material and stick it like in this video? does it stick this strong?

    • @randymacsgarage

      @@jaym6325 Yes sir its the same stuff as good ole contact adhesive like an pro would use just in a spray can but get 3m spray 90 the other stuff is crap

      Not sure but installing them is all the same some are a little more technical

    • @garylamont898
      @garylamont898  10 месяцев назад

      When it comes to bow head liners they are pretty much all the same unless you get into the 50s on down then it takes a lot of patience

  • @bighoudini6130
    @bighoudini6130 Год назад

    Wish I could of seen how the middle attaches because my chevelle only has four bows.

    • @garylamont898
      @garylamont898  10 месяцев назад

      It normally hooks with a wire there will be hooks on the support it will attach to unless it’s a ford which will have two hooks that come off the back into the headliner rear bow

    locktight at lowes does not work.
