You gotta love it!! I'm sitting in a pile of empty boxes for about $3k worth of parts. I came up from the garage and decided to spend another grand last night on chrome and audio. Throw this video on and see that I don't have a $7 bar plug for my twin peaks. Now I just placed another $500 order from JP cycles for this weekend. Quick tip. Unless things have broken loose when you order your bars and cables. As of early May you can't find a set in the country. My order placed 4/4/21 showed up 5/14. Dont be in a huge rush.
Great video and very informative. Wish it included content such as what each bars would look like on the bike or which bars are generally more comfortable.
Can we nominate you from a Grammy or Oscar, or something? Not sure how any of that works, but you videos are the best. Useful information that is reasonably delivered. You are seriously the best.
Some 1-1/4" bagger HD bars require the left side of the bar to be trimmed if heated grips are used so that the controls will fit snugly against the 1" to 1-1/4" step-up. Real important to know before you assemble so that you don't have to take apart and do all over again.
Lemmy, you're the best. Another great video. I'm looking to put a new set of bars on my new Road King, and I'll buy from Revzilla just on account of this very informative video.

[QUESTION] If my understanding is correct. To raise, I could either get a taller bar or longer riser. Why would one choose to raise with handlebar vs riser? I have 17 Dyna s. T bar. 3:17
Have a Yamaha Bolt that with the stock bars my left hand goes numb. I use gel padded gloves and upgraded to Avon grips but still get numbness in my left hand. Not a lot of options with my bike, already emailed Rox about their risers. Bar Snake won't work with stock bars either, found that out after purchasing.
Excellent video, thank you. How do I know if my 2019 Harley Roadster xl1200cx has internal wiring? I want to put ape hangers either 8" or 10" but don't know if I should buy pre-wired or just the wire kit along with the bars.
im thinking of flipping the mirrors in my superlow. due to the tank size im bit skeptical if replacing the default bars with drag bars be helpful or not. any suggestion will be much helpful.
I’m looking to get some lower bars and a fairing for my Street Bob. The mini apes are about 10” of rise. I’m looking for a stock bar that’s only 4” to 6” of rise that lowers my hands slightly without leaning forward much. A Memphis shades fairing and I’m thinking it’s cruising bliss with just a bit of wind deflection.
I have a Low Rider S 2024 am 6feel tall but the seating position is atrocious so I’m trying to get handlebars that don’t sit too high and come more towards me maybe something swept back with a shirt pullback rise? Any suggestions as to what I should do and if so what kits you recommend?
I have an 02 FXSTS Springer with stock 3.5" risers. Took the buckhorns off want to know what bars you guys recommend that won't need to do cables and wires.
I currently have 11 inch "ram horn" bars with a 2 inch riser. (1999 FXDWG OEM) I'm interested in swapping them for 14 inch lane splitter MX T-bars. Will I need any new cables?
The 8 inch rise on the Chumps is probably too tall to keep the stock cables, but you could get the handlebar and see if the stock cables could work with some cable rerouting. -DrewZilla
I have a 2021 trike and I want to change out my OEM handlebars, thanks for the video and I know trikes were not specifically named but bagger’s and ultra’s were and we are in the same family. I have heard that on Harley’s 13 and down models only a 10” and below can be installed without using extension and on a 14 and up models we can use a 12” handlebar. What is your take?
Does anyone know who makes the bars and the model at 7:29 in the video. It's the last bike in the sequence of showing bars on different bikes. I appreciate any help.
I got some apes for free and the riser don’t cover the grooves fully do I need different handlebars because they don’t fit my motorcycle or can I get new risers to fit it better
I want bars on my 02 Sofetail classic like the factory bars on my 72 FLH. I hate these low ape hangers that were on it when iI bought. I see bars but they aren't for inside wiring. With all the after market bars you would think there would be a ton of stock FLSTC bars on Ebay
I don't care for bars that have grip ends which are too close together. I like Flanders #1 or #2 handlebars. They ain't cheap, but the bends and chrome are flawless. They're also American-made. Lastly , check your state's law relating to handlebar height. Just a thought.
Hi im using a drag handlebar on a sportser iron883 2010 model..please advice the type of riser.. that springer type of riser will be suitable for drag handlebar?

Hi. I'm from India and riding an XL1200C of 2015. I want to change stock handlebar without changing any cables. Can you suggest the best bar except ape bars though I'm interested in 32wide reach handlebar. Pl note I have to get it done at service center.
Hey Lemmy, I have a 2016 iron 883 , can you tell me the max height for drag specialties riser without changing out my stock cable. What would the max height be in the pullback riser and the straight riser ? Thanks !!
Your bike in particular has very little slack, you can really only get another 2" up in the riser, which would be the same for straight or pullback style. -Zack
You can go to about a 6" bar in height typically without requiring new cables. This is the tallest bar we typically see installed with stock wiring: www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/biltwell-keystone-1-handlebars -Zack
That's a whole can of worms so to speak. Sport bike forks are generally set up for light sport bikes, so the springs and damping are generally too light for a heavier Harley. Also, those forks are generally shorter than most stock Harley forks. So you'd basically need to rebuild sport bike forks with heavier springs, longer fork tubes, different valving, and then custom triple trees to adapt the forks to a Harley. It's way easier to just install a Monotube Fork Cartridge Kit designed to make stock Harley forks perform better. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/progressive-monotube-fork-cartridge-kit-for-harley
RevZilla that’s good to hear. I’ve seen some that convert GSXR fronts to sporty’s just to get a more sport bike feel out of them. I live in NYC so it’s riddled with custom Harley’s, DUcks, triumph’s and cafe racers. Just trying to enjoy my ole 883L before I think about grabbing a sport touring which is more applicable to the city life.
Can you tell me which risers revzilla carries that are made to take a 1¼" bar that narrow down to 1" at the clamping area and covers the gaps between the riser and the areas where it steps up to the larger diameter bar?
The standard diameter for risers at the clamping area is 1 inch, so if you have 1 1/4" bars that are stepped down to 1" at the clamping area, then you would want risers that have a one-piece top plate to cover the full width of the 1" stepped down area. Avoid one-piece risers that are angled, as they would show the step down. Look at those that are very rectangular. -DrewZilla *bit.ly/VTwinRisers_1inchDiameter

There's no hard and fast rule about height to reach. There are a lot of factors: the angle of the bars, the pullback, your torso length, and your arm length. You will need to measure the height and pullback of the stock handlebar then put your hands in the desired position in the air and have someone measure the difference from the stock bar. -DrewZilla
