    As usual, very good video. People wanting to change their handlebars must watch this first! As Lemmy teaches, it's more than 4 bolts and a few screws. I've been riding and wrenching over 50 years, and I learned a thing or two. Thanks again.

    You gotta love it!! I'm sitting in a pile of empty boxes for about $3k worth of parts. I came up from the garage and decided to spend another grand last night on chrome and audio. Throw this video on and see that I don't have a $7 bar plug for my twin peaks. Now I just placed another $500 order from JP cycles for this weekend. Quick tip. Unless things have broken loose when you order your bars and cables. As of early May you can't find a set in the country. My order placed 4/4/21 showed up 5/14. Dont be in a huge rush.

    Some 1-1/4" bagger HD bars require the left side of the bar to be trimmed if heated grips are used so that the controls will fit snugly against the 1" to 1-1/4" step-up. Real important to know before you assemble so that you don't have to take apart and do all over again.

    I’m looking to get some lower bars and a fairing for my Street Bob. The mini apes are about 10” of rise. I’m looking for a stock bar that’s only 4” to 6” of rise that lowers my hands slightly without leaning forward much. A Memphis shades fairing and I’m thinking it’s cruising bliss with just a bit of wind deflection.

I have heard that on Harley’s 13 and down models only a 10” and below can be installed without using extension and on a 14 and up models we can use a 12” handlebar. What is your take?

    • @RevZilla

    Can you tell me which risers revzilla carries that are made to take a 1¼" bar that narrow down to 1" at the clamping area and covers the gaps between the riser and the areas where it steps up to the larger diameter bar?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  4 года назад

      The standard diameter for risers at the clamping area is 1 inch, so if you have 1 1/4" bars that are stepped down to 1" at the clamping area, then you would want risers that have a one-piece top plate to cover the full width of the 1" stepped down area. Avoid one-piece risers that are angled, as they would show the step down. Look at those that are very rectangular. -DrewZilla

    I just bought my first Harley Davidson. It's a fatboy 2010. It currently has pretty high Ape Hangers on it. Im not sure i like that, and would personally rather have a 6-8" t bar, fat dragbar or something like that. Im not 100 sure yet. But my question is, when it is currenty fitted with apes (im not sure about the rising, since i havent picked up the bike yet. But im guessing maybe 17" rise) What about the wiring then? Im guessing the wiring will be far too long when i lower it to, lets say 8" dragbars? Or will it be fine with nice cable management? Hope someone can help me! :D

    I have a bad back. On my 2000 Electra glide they are stock bars. What style bars would be best to take tension off my back? I’m thinking a very up straight riding position would be best. With the stick bar I stay slightly hunched over and I’m about 6 ft 2 in tall.

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  5 лет назад +1

      Yes, I would recommend handlebars with more pullback and possibly more height. Unfortunately, we don't have the stock bar dimensions on-hand, but if you eyeball the height, width, and pullback of your current bars with a tape measure, you can send us an email or give us a call to discuss further. We can be reached at cs@revzilla.com or 877-792-9455. -DrewZilla

    I listened to the whole video,didn't get the answer that I was looking for.
    Wanted to know how to factor in the height in inches that will relate into the shortened reach as well.
    I have heard that for every 1 inch in height,it will also shorten 1 inch in reach distance as well...I'm Not sure about that but was hoping to get that answered in the video.
    I am planning to buy soon the 2020 FXLRS...
    Trying to decide to either go LD's 13 (11")...or the MX SD Bar (12").
    I am 5' 4" in height so I'm kinda short,I want the bars at shoulder level.
    I don't want the bar to be at full arm extension but neither do I want it to be too close.I have looked at many videos to get some good idea but only getting confused.
    A reply would be much appreciated if you can clear this up for me to go in the right direction...and Thanks👍😎.

      There's no hard and fast rule about height to reach. There are a lot of factors: the angle of the bars, the pullback, your torso length, and your arm length. You will need to measure the height and pullback of the stock handlebar then put your hands in the desired position in the air and have someone measure the difference from the stock bar. -DrewZilla
