Really appreciate it dude! I've always been into arts and creating stuff, music, podcasts, and now video. But I feel like skateboarding and video editing are a really fulfilling combo for me. When I was a teenaged skate rat my friends and I would have killed to be able to make and share videos as effortlessely as we can nowadays. Plus, if I can inspire others to start stating, start skating again, or keep skating then I'm doing my job. The Landyachtz affiliate team thing is really rad too, I've been a huge fan of theirs for years and I'm stoked they like what I'm up to. Stay rad and keep skating and making videos dude! I love seeing your progress!
@@skate_oasis thanks, I too am a musician and you could say it's my main hobby, but it's so hard to get others to care it can be a bit isolating and feel pointless at times. I've met so many more positive and supportive people doing this
@@DadLeisureSkateboarding holy moly me too! I was in a band for years then released a few albums on my own and getting anyone to care at all is the most difficult thing!
@@skate_oasis haha yep me too, Ive started working with another artist again recently and it's brought back that spark so I am enjoying it again. Just gotta do it because its fun and anything else is a bonus 😄
Great board! I just ordered the Ditch Life Sand Cat and Battle Axe Forest 38". Absolutely no reviews on the Sand Cat anywhere yet, but I can't wait to cruise with them.
Hey dude thanks for watching and commenting! I'm sure the Sand Cat will be awesome! It's the same as this Ditch Life with a different graphic. It comes with 60mm 78a lil'Easy Hawgs (I'm pretty sure) I have a pair of those as well and they're like riding on a cloud! I just switched mine to a slightly harder wheel for extra speed at the concrete skatepark.
Great one Will. I really like this "cruising" old school decks more then regular old shape, because of the nose. I think I already have too many boards, but + one ATVX Dicht Life won't hurt, isn't?
Just found this channel because I was thinking abt buying a LY,and I don’t know why I didn’t start watching sooner😢❤ Great video, more LY vlogs please 🙏
Hey thanks for watching and commenting! I've had about half a dozen landyachtz boards by now and they've all been awesome! I like them so much I became a brand ambassador for them. I just got the ATV-X version of this deck, probably won't do a full video on it because it's very similar but trust me - I will be doing more landyachtz videos soon. Which one are you looking at buying?
Looking forward to those videos. Ditch Life - Moto Fun, love the graphics, I’m not really a technical skater. I like cruising, but still like popping Ollies here and there.
Hey thanks for commenting! There is only a slight difference between the non-ATV and the ATV-X version of these decks. The ATV-X version has two layers of fiberglass instead of wood, giving them a little bit more rigidity and slightly less weight. For cruising, you'd probably never notice a difference! They come with the exact same setup too; bear 155 trucks with 60mm 78a wheels - perfect for cruising! I have since become an ambassador for Landyachtz, so if you want to pick something up you can use my code 'Skateoasis10' at checkout for 10% off. Stay rad and let me know how you like it!
Thanks! Just last question: i read that with 250mm truck the board feels hard to carve, so people raccomend tò put 130mm tkp with 63 wheels. Is that something you agree with? Thank you
Hey thanks for watching and for your question! The Ditch Life is great for pump tracks! Landyachtz really focuses on developing products for pump tracks and city streets, and they have plenty of videos on their channel about pump track skating. I've added slightly harder wheels for my park skating, but the stock 78a wheels ride super smooth and fast on rough terrain. I've only tried it on one pump track so far (it's pretty far from me), but it was awesome! I’ve been a fan since around 2008 and genuinely love their boards. Feel free to use my discount code 'willcroccoLY' for 10% off on their store! Let me know if you have any questions. Stay rad!
Is it easy to pump (rather than push) on this one when you’re commuting around town? I get tired after pushing for a while so I like to be able to pump, as I can do on my Loaded Omakase cruiser.
I had to built a little jig out of wood to get it removed and replace it 😆 went to the skate shop to speak with our local guru and he said he hasn’t had to replace kingpins in like a decade! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I’d go for this one! It’s bigger and wider so more room for activities and comfort imo but the tugboat is also sick! That’s awesome you skate with your son! That’s good parenting 🤙
been wanting to build or get a ramp like that in my garage for my kids. Any ideas on how to start? Thanks so much - 55 yo old school Powell fan dude here so not meaning to ask you a dumbass question. I grew up with a 9 foot tall half pipe in my back yard and now live in a neighborhood with a Nazi HOA. This has been an idea for me for a while. Any plans or ideas you could provide would really help dude.
Hey thanks for commenting! The best place to start is browsing on keen ramps’ website. I basically copied their 2’ half pipe plans and built it myself! I also frequented diy skate and the r/miniramp forum on Reddit a ton! Feel free to ask me anymore questions I’d be happy to help!
@@skate_oasis dude thanks SO much I will start there. Do you have any height challenges with your garage like fear of hitting your head? Never had an indoor ramp before and Dad wants to skate too - similar stuff like you are doing. Our ramp back in the day was incredible but it was just my brother and I ripping off wood from the neighborhood house builds and pounding in 17 nails at a time - asked for masonite from the parents at Christmas lol. Amazing it turned out like it did with no plans. Smarter now and want to do it right.
Hey sorry it took me so long to get back to you (youtube doesn't notify you of comment replies I guess lol) Luckily for me, the garage has an 11' ceiling so no issues with the height for me. Except once my 6-'4" friend was skating the extension and repeatedly hit his head and arms on the hanging light in that corner LOL. If you have any height limitations those can be worked around: I built a set of quarter pipes for a young ripper last year for their basement. Only about 7'-8" of headroom. So I built the ramps ~13" tall and they were sick! Then early this year I built this ramp (ruclips.net/video/XWxcc1HuenU/видео.htmlsi=uk0qWkU7OFxNCRgE) for a guy this spring. He was just getting back into skating and wanted his kids to skate as well. It's 12" tall and it's the most fun ramp ever lol. So playful and approachable. I like smaller ramps because I mostly skate on my own, and I wanted a ramp that I wasn't scared to skate or that required high risk. Let me know if I can help!
Glad you like the board! Great video 👏👏👏
Can’t wait to try the ATV-X model 😉

sick mini dude, what's the dimentions if you don't mind me asking
Absolutely! It’s 2’ high, 8’ wide, with about 7.5’ of flat. About 21’ long total including 3’ decks. 6’ radius. Super fun and mellow ramp!
how would it feel in a pumptrack?

Thanks Grey Beard!
Planning to buy either this or the tugboat so I can skate with my kid. Been a while since I last skated. 😅

The "X" doesn't mean a layer of carbon fiber, "FG" labeled board have 1 layer of fiberglass and "X" labeled boards have 2 layers of fiberglass
I appreciate the info as I realized after the fact that I misspoke.
Either way, this is a KILLER board!
