I just noticed this. What a surprise! Are you or some of the viewers new to Ronnie James Dio? You definitely need to listen to the studio version first. It's the title track of the Black Sabbath album Heaven and Hell, released in 1980. I might as well add a link to it after I've written this comment. This classic song has morphed into a different song at concerts. It's very often an audience participation number with a lot of improvisations added to it. I checked out the original video from the link. That performance is from 2005. I think someone might've chosen this video only because it shows that Ronnie James Dio could still give a good performance when he was 63. It just doesn't really work as a first impression of the song. It's also not a good introduction to Ronnie James Dio. Ronnie James Dio had a long career in music. He started in the late 1950s. He was most successful with Rainbow, Black Sabbath and his own band Dio. There are many great songs to choose from. Even though the songs can sometimes become great and more beautiful in live performances (especially "Catch The Rainbow" in the late 1970s) you always need to hear the actual songs from the albums first. @Vimana: I have to disagree with you. As a vocal coach, you could hardly have chosen a better performance. Yes, she chose the video herself. For certain reasons, I'm sure. Did you even see her reaction? How excited she was.? How many little things she discovered that she said her students could learn a lot from. Of course the original song is a masterpiece (Ronnie wrote it himself), but I don't think the song would be suitable for their type of reaction videos. And to get to know Ronnie for the first time, a live performance is probably the ultimate. That's how I see it now. And maybe you shouldn't write like your way is the best and the only one. It would be enough if you had started your comment with the sentence, "In my opinion..." or, "In my opinion...". I've been watching her reaction videos for ages and so I know that she doesn't often react to bands or singers multiple times. And that's why I think she made the perfect choice with this song and this live performance. I wish you a peaceful weekend and Stay Safe
@@stefanstock953 I liked how you wrote and you had many valid points there. It also would've been better if I'd added "in my opinion" before writing my point of view. I've quite often done that but I failed to do it this time. I wrote my comment many hours before the video started, which is very unusual for me. I guess I just felt strongly enough about the subject of another live version of the song Heaven and Hell. I have my reasons and I get to it later... I watched the video and also joined the live chat. It was great of course. Christi Bovee is one of my favorite persons on RUclips. I love her videos and I've been watching them for a long time. I also agree that, as a vocal coach, it's often good to check out live versions. Then you might really see what the singers are doing and it can be more interesting that way. I've now also realized that Christi had already reacted to "Stargazer" two years ago. I've seen it but couldn't remember it for some odd reason. I even joined the live chat at the time. How silly of me to forget that! My memory is playing tricks on me... So, this wasn't her first impression of Ronnie James Dio's vocals. My original comment had became less valid in some ways. Maybe I'll still go on and write some of my thoughts. It's quite impossible to say it all by writing a quick little comment. So, this might end up being a long one. My main concern is that the first reaction to a song (not just the singer) should be the most pleasant experience for the person who is doing the reaction. It can't only be for the enjoyment of the viewer. There's only one first time when you hear a classic song. You never get it back. If a song doesn't make you feel it at first, then you might never listen to any version of the song again. One of the most beautiful moments of your life could be lost forever because you couldn't quite follow the live version for example. Many people who are doing music reactions are also very polite (or sometimes they just automatically say that they like everything). You can still tell when they don't really feel it or get it at all. Yes, I'm talking about music reaction channels in general. It often makes me feel that we, the viewers and subscribers, are robbing these great experiences from the ones making the reaction videos. Of course the best way to enjoy music is to listen to it without any interruptions and sometimes we get completely lost in the music in a good way. It can be a very personal experience but it's also a very beautiful thing if we can share that with other people. I might as well explain myself better: I kind of have a personal problem towards the live versions of Heaven and Hell. In some cases the live performance doesn't have almost anything of the actual song left. (Surprisingly, this 2005 live version was much more closer to the original song than usual.) It's also good to know that I'm not criticizing any bands who are performing the song (Black Sabbath or Dio etc.) because it's very understandable. Some bands choose one song from their live sets as the audience participation number. It's usually a classic song that everyone knows and something that the band has to play in every concert. Sometimes the bands also like to improvise in those songs a lot. They keep it more fresh and interesting for themselves (and maybe for the audience as well). Some classic rock bands were also notorious for playing really long and drawn-out versions of their songs in concerts. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Everyone has their own opinion of them of course. In any case, it would be more than preferable that the members in the audience (or the ones listening at home) are very familiar with the songs. That way they can enjoy all the variations the band can get out of the songs in live performances. Many people might miss everything completely if they haven't heard the songs before even once. I guess I've been feeling a bit frustrated about certain things in various music reaction channels. Things that I'm mentioning here are only a very small part of it. I've seen many times that a subscriber has selected some live version just for the reason that it's live. There are people who are saying that everything is better live, which I don't agree. I really appreciate good songwriting, great sounds and the hard work done in recording studios. Quite a few of these classic bands also performed live in the studio. So, often the entire band was recorded playing together. It might've taken a few different takes but quite often it ended up being a full complete version of a certain take. Some vocals (especially a few great vocal harmonies) and guitar solos were often added later etc. In many of these cases there isn't anything that's somehow fabricated and fake. Everything is real. There are often a lot of great details in a song. Much of that can be completely lost in live performances for many understandable reasons. Still, the live versions can clearly have more energy sometimes and every performance can be very different. So, there are always good things that we can appreciate in all of these versions. It would be nice if people could react to both the studio version and a live version. Very few people have reacted to them both and sometimes even in the same video. It just would be too much to ask. It's not realistic to assume that a person would be willing to do that and waste their time to hear different versions of a song that they might not even like at all. Let's appreciate what we can get. There's a lot of great things out there for us to enjoy. Black Sabbath made magic in the studio that day. Well, sometimes some real magic was made on the stage too of course. Rainbow is one of my favorite bands and I have to mention this to you. I remembered that I saw a very beautiful live version of "Catch The Rainbow". I just couldn't remember what it was. It turned out that it was from Rainbow's "Live in Munich 1977". It was released on DVD as late as 2006. You might find the whole concert when you look for it. I really need to go and watch that one. Anyway, thanks for the thoughtful reply. He was 63 at this performance 👏 Not long before his cancer diagnosis.... His music helped me through my teenage years. I will always respect his contribution.
His voice darkened due to age. In 2002, he sounded noticeably lighter. His vocal peak was in the '70s and '80s. Among his best performances are Rainbow - Mistreated (Live in Munich 1977) and Dio - Sacred Heart (Live at the Spectrum 1986).
This is Ronnie James Dio his Solo band Simply called Dio. The band was back then was Gitarist Doug Aldrich ( Left Dio in late 2006 to join Whitesnake. Joined the dead daisies in 2016) Bassist Rudy Sarzo. ( Famously known for bein the bassist in the Glam/hardrock band Quiet Riot) Drummer Simon Wright ( was the drummer for AC/DC in the years 1983/1989) And keyboardist Scott Warren. (Joined the the Dio band in 1993 never left until Ronnie his passing in 2010, Runs the Dio Disciples a band off former DIo members that still plays Dio music with vocalist Tim "ripper" ownes)
I saw him the frist time in 83'. Then 86' 90'. The last time was in 04' in San Diego. Listen to him in the band "Rainbow" ... "Stargazer" is a great song. RIP Ronnie.
There are a couple of live versions that I really love. I hope this is one of them. Watchin Dio perform is half of the experience of this fantastic vocalist. His performances were always done with total commitment and dedication to the fans. A true master of the stage. And, having the best voice in Metal did not hurt either. Looking forward to this one.
"Catch The Rainbow" is a good choice for hearing a different side of Ronnie James Dio's voice. It can be such a beautiful experience when you let the music move you. It's from the first Rainbow album (Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow) released in 1975. For many people that album was the first time they heard Ronnie James Dio's voice. There's also a live performance from 1977 that sounds amazing. The band really lets the song breathe and the music flows beautifully. By 1977 the bassist had changed to Bob Daisley. He's a great bass player and he delivers some nice backing vocals here. It also has the great Cozy Powell on drums. David Stone is a new member here as well. He plays various keyboard instruments and I really like what he's doing. I think it's a beautiful song that definitely grows on you. In case you haven't heard the original album version, I will link it here as well. I hope you'll enjoy this one. Let the music inspire you. You should really listen to him before he gets sick (we was at this stage) This is more sad than good for me to watch because he was so incredible in his earlier work .
Love this version. If you do Rainbows Stargazer official video or Mistreated live in Munich in 77 I promise you won't be disappointed. You will have definitely gotten my subscription 😊
He was in a band called elf that was very bluesy was also in rainbow that was another phenomenal band. Everything he sang in was wonderful in my opinion.
Yup. Bothers me that Sabbath is referenced in the description at all. Other reaction channels have also done this. Just do the studio version if a good enough live "Sabbath" example isn't available.
I love when people take the time to realize how musical and complex metal actually is. It's the classical music of our time. Also...what other genre do people actually still play instruments and sing on stage lol? None that I'm aware of. Also, Ronnie was a beautiful guy, really. His lyrics are very meaningful, if you get caught up in the theatrics and metaphors (evil etc) you are cheating yourself.
With much respect, if you want to dig into Dio's heavenly voice try Spotify! My proposal: ALL THE FOOLS SAILED AWAY! What a nice man he was; in love with his wife until his very end, with enormous love for children, (especially the abondoned ones) even if he hadn't have his own. Cheers from Greece...I'm waiting you on October...in my website!❤
Rock really is the broadest church of music; people often see ONE kind of rock or metal and decide that ALL rock / metal is the same. There are MANY top level virtuosos playing in rock that a lot of people never get exposed to (check out Prog rock for the real crazy musicianship). Ronnie is one of the best singers of all time in any genre. Ian Gillan is another (check out Child In Time). Where some people see "aggression" we see passion. Pick your favourite flavour and enjoy the ride. Even Sir Christopher Lee recorded a symphonic metal album at 90!
i saw him perform w/ HEAVEN AND HELL(which was BLACK SABBATH during his studio time w/them) a couple months before he passed of cancer so he was in treatment and still kicked ass-no idea he was suffering at all based on his performance
He also did some work with the guitarist Kerry Livegren from Kansas and also Roger Glover from Deep Purple doing The Butterfly Ball really great stuff from an extraordinary vocalist
DIO AND Rob Halford are the Gods of Metal, And if you want to continue discovering Ronnie you should continue with the song "Don't Tslk To Strange" live 2005
There's a story out there that a 13-ishy year old fan and his friend had attended a DIO show and they had to wait several hours afterward for their ride home as she(?) (mother or sister?) had to work and could not pick them up until a few hours later. While the boys waited in the parking lot, DIO & friends found them and invited them inside their tour bus and hung out to wait for their ride for a few hours so they would be safe. I think the boy later became a writer for one of those rock magazines and wrote this story, but I can't fully remember all the details. This was DIO's character being a ice guy and more for his fans.
@@paulriddle7818 I didn't pay attention to the writer (I didn't know him) at the time and I don't remember the source, but it's entirely possible. It's been a long while. I do think it was Rolling Stone mag, but I'm not sure.
Just imagine singing that good while having stomach cancer. Stretching the diaphragm like that and dealing with pain from stomach cancer at the same time. Dio is one of if not the greastest voice in heavy metal. 🤘🎤
RJ Dio will always be a top singer / performer in our hard rock world. This video is later in his career and, while still quite impressive, shows age. May I suggest a performance that is the pinnacle of his talent. Dio also sang with Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow for a while and STARGAZER is a testament to vocals. This is the video to use - ruclips.net/video/rVXy1OhaERY/видео.htmlsi=--fofpwY9d5hlUiJ
Ronnie vocal training was a tuba when young, singing came natural and effortless. Plus he played instruments besides just singing. Could write a song no problem😎
Now that you have heard DIO you must go down the Ronnie James Dio rabbit hole from Elf Rainbow Black Sabbath and Dio himself fun little bit ,at the end of Heaven and Hell they go into the end of Kill the King from Rainbow give it all a listen I think you will love it
In July 2005, I had already bought a ticket to a festival where R.J. performed. (and Candlemass, and others...), 5 kilometers from where I live. Unfortunately I had to be somewhere else. And that was my last (wasted) opportunity to see this genius and father of heavy metal live. 🤘🤘
Love Dio’s strong vocals. Q- are you gonna get back to more Myles Kennedy with AlterBridge? Its been a minute since you did Words Darker than their Wings… There’s a beautiful Billboard video of him singing Watch over you and Rise Today with only acoustic guitar accompaniment. There’s tons of new Live content from the Royal Albert Hall too (obviously Blackbird is a must, also The End is Here, among most anything else they do!) Cheers!
Great reaction as always. Just a reminder that 12 months ago, you were as keen as mustard to continue reacting to Amira Willighagen, but alas, nothing. I really thought you meant what you said. You had no words as to how this 10 yo was able to deliver such a masterpiece. Well, Amira is now 20 yo & has commenced her Batchelor of Music at the Pretoria University, so how about doing what Amira fans have been waiting for. Maybe her latest release of “ Down from ahis Glory “ would be a good start. Cheers Graeme
I highly recommend checking out the live version of this song from around the early 80s when he was still with Black Sabbath... Dio in his prime was a revelation.. an unmatched vocalist. This is Dio in his later years... and while hes still good... it's not him at his peak.
You’re never too “old” to listen to metal, also dio didnt start in hard rock and metal he was in his mid 30s when he joined rainbow. dio was active 1958-when he died. all his pre 1970 stuff is mainly pop and doo wop. and another is graham bonnet dios rplacement in rainbow(a wonderful singer in his own right) he started out in pop and r and b and didnt really cross over into “metal “til the late 80s early 90s as rainbow and the other bands he was in were mostly hardrock that flirted with metal. Thank you for ur content.
you appreciated that song, but the best version of this song was in 1980 live video with this entire power because he's old in your video , 63 years...try this other version of 1980 much better in the first part (his voice is very much clear) .ruclips.net/video/uWAhd4KkVUU/видео.html.................and in 2005 his best song in this concert is without no doubt Rainbow in the Dark with incredible pronunciation ruclips.net/video/9kY3FO6zIUE/видео.html........I have more than 30 albums of Dio, I have in my collection all the songs he have never made in his career, and I have seen him 2 times live in Paris, in 1992 with Black Sabbath and in 1995 with his own group DIO.....you have to know that Dio never had a lesson of singing , it's natural and it's more incredible ....and I can't resist to put another song, only in studio with perhap's the more indredible prononciation of all his carreer, in 2006 .a christmas song ,slow song but dark and powerful 'God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen ' ruclips.net/video/OODUk-KYtns/видео.html
He had more gravel as he went older Since the beginings if you listen well you're noticing it over the albums. But its the in 90's, by Locked up the wolves and especially Dehumanizer as Strange Highways he sounds a lot more corrosive from that point.
Awesome family band called Liliac . They do a cover of Heaven & Hell that has over 1.3 million views in 5months. The singer named Melody Cristea (22yo) idolized RJD . She has a very unique and powerful voice with incredible range. The next generation of female fronted heavy metal bands is looking good.
Bwcause shes an actual vocal coach and she needs to see how his voice held up with all the crazy stuff Dio was able to do. Theres still so much misinfomation out there.
Why are you listening an old Ronnie James Dio?, you should watch a Dio in his best younger years, so you can really appreciate his voice. You should know better. Just constructive criticism 😉
There is plenty of good older Dio Robert. Listen to the entire show of Him reunited with Black Sabbath under the heaven and hell moniker at wacken 2009. It's less than a year before his death, he was suffering seriously from painful stomach cancer, and it is one of his best performances, and frankly one if the best concert appearances of all time by anyone. Period.
The only thing I can say is unfortunately this isn't Black Sabbath playing, it is Ronnie's own band. Ronnie sang for Sabbath in the eighties when this song was written. Tony Iommi and Sabbath do it much better.
Dio can sing ozzy BS song anytime but Ozzy cant sing Dio BS imagine....Ozzy singing H&Hell ...Checkout Dio BS Sign of the southern cross n Cjildren of the sea.....

As i read in your comment that you now realized that Christy (i love her too) had reacted to Dio & Stargazer before, i realized, "damn, thats right, i have saw that reaction live, 2 years ago. Totally forgot bout it. Ok, thats nothing new to me. Cause alot of my brain cells had say 'Goodbye, Farewell & Amen' during my dark time of alcohol abuse. I'm a dry alcoholic and sober since 2010. And it's still often very embarrassing when i forget something, like a name, a face... or what i wanted to say, in some situations. Well, thats one of many little prices you have to pay, if you're stupid enough to fight with the devil alcohol. Well, my 'Mini-Job' ask for me. Have to leave now. Maybe our paths will crossing each other again in time.
(Oh btw. yes, thanks, my weekend was ok, very lonely, but Ok.)
Oh, and i'm from Köln/Cologne, Germany and i'm a Metalhead and MaidenManiac since 1985. So, have a nice one & UP THE IRONS ✌
He was 63 at this performance 👏
Not long before his cancer diagnosis....
His music helped me through my teenage years. I will always respect his contribution.
Young dio was on another level. If you want to see him during his peak id say checkout him preforming the song mistreated live 1977
Dio was a massive Opra fan his whole life.
I think he used to play trumpet when he was younger in the school marching band that explains his breath control.
His voice darkened due to age. In 2002, he sounded noticeably lighter. His vocal peak was in the '70s and '80s. Among his best performances are Rainbow - Mistreated (Live in Munich 1977) and Dio - Sacred Heart (Live at the Spectrum 1986).
In talking you feel his voice dropped in 2004
This is Ronnie James Dio his Solo band Simply called Dio.
Dio was the best singer al time ❤
Here's the original version of Heaven and Hell from the official Black Sabbath channel:

I saw him the frist time in 83'. Then 86' 90'. The last time was in 04' in San Diego. Listen to him in the band "Rainbow" ... "Stargazer" is a great song. RIP Ronnie.
Ronnie James Dio is my favourite vocalist of ALL TIME!!! Biggest DIO fan here in Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 🤘🏻🤘🏻

That solo from the god of guitarist, Ritchie Blackmore 🤩
Wonderfull...simply wonderfull. Ronnie... fantástic.
Love any version of Dio, Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath and solo DIO. One of my favorite singers ever.
I just discovered you and I am really glad that you do this! I love hearing reactions from knowledgeable people like you!!😀
You should really listen to him before he gets sick (we was at this stage) This is more sad than good for me to watch because he was so incredible in his earlier work .
Love this version. If you do Rainbows Stargazer official video or Mistreated live in Munich in 77 I promise you won't be disappointed. You will have definitely gotten my subscription 😊
I think its more accurate to say Black Sabbath is the most influencial Heavy Metal Band, instead of saying its either Ozzy og Dio.
If there was one guy its probably Iommi anyway
He was in a band called elf that was very bluesy was also in rainbow that was another phenomenal band. Everything he sang in was wonderful in my opinion.
I saw him three times when he was in his prime , once with Sabbath . You need to hear and see him in his prime . Second to none in the genre .
This show isn't Black Sabbath, it's Ronnie's Solo band
My very first concert was Dio - Last in Line! “Last in Line” song is one of my favorites as well as when he sings “Children of the Sea” Black Sabbath
Need to do a younger version of this or the studio version. Although I'll take this older DIo any day of the week.
I saw him in 1983 and 1989 and he was fantastic both times, be it Donnington Park or Manchester Apollo.
Dio,.. fantastic,.. ever ! We want more,.. and more,.. please !!!
i saw him perform w/ HEAVEN AND HELL(which was BLACK SABBATH during his studio time w/them) a couple months before he passed of cancer so he was in treatment and still kicked ass-no idea he was suffering at all based on his performance
He is the man on the silver mountain. Without any doubt the singer we all wanted to be. The father of the sign, God amongst men🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
He also did some work with the guitarist Kerry Livegren from Kansas and also Roger Glover from Deep Purple doing The Butterfly Ball really great stuff from an extraordinary vocalist
Check out Ronnie with Rainbow. Stargazer or Gates of Babylon. You will be amazed
R.I.P. Ronnie😥
Excellent. Your learning of early heavy metal, excellent tallent.
DIO AND Rob Halford are the Gods of Metal, And if you want to continue discovering Ronnie you should continue with the song "Don't Tslk To Strange" live 2005
I would ad Bruce Dickinson to that list🤟🤟🤟
There's a story out there that a 13-ishy year old fan and his friend had attended a DIO show and they had to wait several hours afterward for their ride home as she(?) (mother or sister?) had to work and could not pick them up until a few hours later. While the boys waited in the parking lot, DIO & friends found them and invited them inside their tour bus and hung out to wait for their ride for a few hours so they would be safe. I think the boy later became a writer for one of those rock magazines and wrote this story, but I can't fully remember all the details. This was DIO's character being a ice guy and more for his fans.
Isnt that Cameron Crowe? He worked for Rolling Stone as a writer.
@@paulriddle7818 I didn't pay attention to the writer (I didn't know him) at the time and I don't remember the source, but it's entirely possible. It's been a long while. I do think it was Rolling Stone mag, but I'm not sure.
Wonderfull.... Ronnie is the Best.
Just imagine singing that good while having stomach cancer. Stretching the diaphragm like that and dealing with pain from stomach cancer at the same time. Dio is one of if not the greastest voice in heavy metal. 🤘🎤
Nice audience participation and Dio is obviously a legend🤘
Nice and great reaction, thanks for dong it 🤘🤘🤘
My start as a Metalhead was 1980 with 13 years , today with over 56 years is that the same strong love to Heavy Metal Music
You need to check out Dan Vasc singing "Amazing Grace" and Steel Heat "Angel Eyes"....EPIC!
Ronnie is amazing.
You might like this, it's off the original album of this; Black Sabbath - Children of The Sea. So good.
Dio in Solo 2005 - that is the Power of Heavy Metal Music R.I.P Ronny James Dio
Now that you have heard DIO you must go down the Ronnie James Dio rabbit hole from Elf Rainbow Black Sabbath and Dio himself fun little bit ,at the end of Heaven and Hell they go into the end of Kill the King from Rainbow give it all a listen I think you will love it
Gotta do live from the mid 80s when he was in his prime
In July 2005, I had already bought a ticket to a festival where R.J. performed. (and Candlemass, and others...), 5 kilometers from where I live. Unfortunately I had to be somewhere else. And that was my last (wasted) opportunity to see this genius and father of heavy metal live. 🤘🤘
Love Dio’s strong vocals. Q- are you gonna get back to more Myles Kennedy with AlterBridge?
Its been a minute since you did Words Darker than their Wings…
There’s a beautiful Billboard video of him singing Watch over you and Rise Today with only acoustic guitar accompaniment.
There’s tons of new Live content from the Royal Albert Hall too (obviously Blackbird is a must, also The End is Here, among most anything else they do!)
Cheers!
@RB-oc7ti oh my THANK YOU for reminding me!!! And for this suggestion. I love Alter Bridge and Myles Kennedy. I’m putting
This on the short list. 😍
@@TheVoiceLoveCoAwesome! Can’t wait!
Please react to iron maiden ,Bruce Dickinson singing is among the very best
I would watch the original Black Sabbath version with Dio
WOW...................
Most Classical music...is Heavy Metal with out electricity..
Love your reactions. You got a beautiful soul! I would love to see you react to Beth Hart - Leave the light on (Live at the Royal Albert Hall). ❤
We must remember, that, his grandmother taught DIO the MOLOYK, or the EVIL EYE.
Si dice U malocchju in meridional vernacular.
Malocchio in italian.
Moloik is a slang that went deformed propably in the us.
Metal people are not aggressive.. Mostely they do things and work thorough things with energy from metal music.
a video reacting to child in time by the band deep purple I believe it will be well received... it is a much admired song
I highly recommend checking out the live version of this song from around the early 80s when he was still with Black Sabbath... Dio in his prime was a revelation.. an unmatched vocalist. This is Dio in his later years... and while hes still good... it's not him at his peak.
This is not Black Sabbath playing but rather Dio's band playing a Sabbath track
More of Dio!!!!!!!!!!
More Dio, please ❤
You’re never too “old” to listen to metal, also dio didnt start in hard rock and metal he was in his mid 30s when he joined rainbow. dio was active 1958-when he died. all his pre 1970 stuff is mainly pop and doo wop. and another is graham bonnet dios rplacement in rainbow(a wonderful singer in his own right) he started out in pop and r and b and didnt really cross over into “metal “til the late 80s early 90s as rainbow and the other bands he was in were mostly hardrock that flirted with metal. Thank you for ur content.
The band Liliac does a decent cover of this.
디오...그저 갓🤘
Sydnie Christmas - Over the Rainbow
Dio is a storyteller. Dio is the God of Metal!
This is good Channel.
Sorry gotta say this is just about the last song I'd pick as an intro to Dio's voice
You should listen to Opeth live.
Would you react to Dio live in Philadelphia, Don’t talk to strangers please.
Still there..? Rock more..!
Please do all the fools sail away by Dio
You really should listen the originals.
Puedes reaccionar a RATA BLANCA - SOLO PARA AMARTE (VIVO EN EL OPERA) ?? Se agradecería mucho. Saludos desde Argetina
react child in time by the band deep purple... it's fantastic
Leilani Lei Style
La versión correcta es la versión antigua de esta canción
I strongly suggest you check out Ronnie James Dio singing Stargazer with the band Rainbow. One of his best.
you appreciated that song, but the best version of this song was in 1980 live video with this entire power because he's old in your video , 63 years...try this other version of 1980 much better in the first part (his voice is very much clear) .ruclips.net/video/uWAhd4KkVUU/видео.html.................and in 2005 his best song in this concert is without no doubt Rainbow in the Dark with incredible pronunciation ruclips.net/video/9kY3FO6zIUE/видео.html........I have more than 30 albums of Dio, I have in my collection all the songs he have never made in his career, and I have seen him 2 times live in Paris, in 1992 with Black Sabbath and in 1995 with his own group DIO.....you have to know that Dio never had a lesson of singing , it's natural and it's more incredible ....and I can't resist to put another song, only in studio with perhap's the more indredible prononciation of all his carreer, in 2006 .a christmas song ,slow song but dark and powerful 'God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen ' ruclips.net/video/OODUk-KYtns/видео.html
His voice is shot. Listen to Mistreated by Rainbow live in Germany in 1977.
Wrong. He sounds outstanding for 63 here.
He had more gravel as he went older
Since the beginings if you listen well you're noticing it over the albums.
But its the in 90's, by Locked up the wolves and especially Dehumanizer as Strange Highways he sounds a lot more corrosive from that point.
@@Nissardpertugiu Incorrect.
@@paulriddle7818 Listen a song like Pain or Listen the Monster Of Rock in Italy in 1992
Awesome family band called Liliac . They do a cover of Heaven & Hell that has over 1.3 million views in 5months. The singer named Melody Cristea (22yo) idolized RJD . She has a very unique and powerful voice with incredible range. The next generation of female fronted heavy metal bands is looking good.
Love him since 1978. Please listen to his masterpiece with Rainbow, Stargazer.
He's had no vocal training.
He had Mario Lanza records as his teacher
True but he first as a child was a trumpet player, which may have contributed to breath control and overall vocal ability as a singer.
Ronnie beats Ozzy on EVERY level, Ronnie is a much better singer
I don't get why people select the live performances from performers who are well past their physical prime.
Bwcause shes an actual vocal coach and she needs to see how his voice held up with all the crazy stuff Dio was able to do. Theres still so much misinfomation out there.
Dio was great until his death
Dio is the greatest male singer of all time. The only singer better is the Metal Queen herself, Doro Pesch.
Of all the Ronnie Dio Heaven and Hell videos to choose from you choose one with. a 90 year old Dio!?!? Makes no sense art all.
Why are you listening an old Ronnie James Dio?, you should watch a Dio in his best younger years, so you can really appreciate his voice. You should know better. Just constructive criticism 😉
Why not, its a good start, into Ronnie
There is plenty of good older Dio Robert. Listen to the entire show of Him reunited with Black Sabbath under the heaven and hell moniker at wacken 2009. It's less than a year before his death, he was suffering seriously from painful stomach cancer, and it is one of his best performances, and frankly one if the best concert appearances of all time by anyone. Period.
Nothing constructive about that comment.
It sounds so clumsy compared to the Black Sabbath original.
The only thing I can say is unfortunately this isn't Black Sabbath playing, it is Ronnie's own band. Ronnie sang for Sabbath in the eighties when this song was written. Tony Iommi and Sabbath do it much better.
Dio can sing ozzy BS song anytime but Ozzy cant sing Dio BS imagine....Ozzy singing H&Hell
...Checkout Dio BS Sign of the southern cross n Cjildren of the sea.....
