I never know what to add to the conversation when you’re talking about TV models that I’ve never owned, but I still view every video to show my support because I know nobody works harder than you do! Keep it up, buddy!
I just aquired a Qn90c canadian version 2023 with the 1220 software version and I find the menues to be very quick and also noticed that I have more options than you do but then there are a few that you that I dont.
I purchased the 85” QN90C for my living room with a great deal for Veterans, and the 85” QN800C for my basement with a great deal as well. When comparing it seems the QN90C offers better color, brighter screen and less blooming. I was thinking maybe it’s the calibration. I used the same exact settings on both TVs. I’m returning the QN800C to get another QN90C and save about $600. Makes me wonder if 8K is reality (particularly with “upscaling”). Again, I was really wondering if calibration would make a difference.
WOW THANK YOU. You're dead on, with everything. My tv looks like a different tv. Five stars, wish I could give more than two thumbs up. my eye balls also, thank you. May your channel be blessed.
Why is picture mode not always available? I just purchased this tv and Im finding it extremely difficult to understand. I had picture mode the other day and now I dont. Is there a complete guide somewhere that can help understand all of this?
From what I can tell, when you are in the "Home" picture mode is disabled/set to standard? If you go to a HDMI or app then it should change it is confusing as hell though.
I've just purchased this tv. So far, the picture is fine but I hate the menu and can't find how to activate timeshift as, in the Italian version of this tv, it is deactivated. I haven't even found it in the secret menu. Could anyone help me get timeshift back and have the tv biot directly in the tv menu and not the awful smart tv menu? If neither problems can be solved, I'll have to return the tv as I quite hate it at the moment.
Hi can someone plz help me! I bought this tv and the eye comfort mode doesn't seem to be working. When i turn it on under intelligent mode it actually makes my screen even cooler and brighter making my eyes sore! Can some plz help😢
I currently have this TV and am trying to sell it. I hate it. Colors are oversaturated and everything is too damn bright. Looks awful on my Xbox too no matter how much I tinker with everything.
I just got this tv and notion on fast scenes there is a lot of flutter. I know it's not a high end tv but my 12 year plasma has smoother looking traction in movement. Should I take it back?
Wow, I could probably deal with the stripped down picture mode settings if they just had HDR+ mode. Taking away BT.2020 was, and still is, a bad move smh.
Hey, I’m Paulo, from Brazil. I totally get the absolutely good intent of this video. Kudos to you on that regard. However, I believe there’s some misinformation here and there. Like, BT.2020 or P3 color isn’t supposed to be available in SDR. Or local dimming being messed up where low means high and high means low. That is not accurate. I own a QN90B and I’m confident the correct setting for SDR is the middle one and, for HDR, the High one. Also, you shouldn’t have left smoothing set to on, it will cause your media to lose fine detail. Anyway, you’ll probably think to yourself like, who are you, a nobody coming out of nowhere pretending to know stuff… I mean, I, too, just wanted to help. Cheers!
Now this i respect. Actual constructive criticism. So I'll respond by saying, wide color isn't a feature of hdr. Hdr is about stops of perceived dynamic range, i.e the blackest black and brighest white your tv can output. Color like bt.2020 can be used on sdr content. You just have to accommodate for the saturation boost. Additionally, motion smoothing is a subjective choice. 24p was never intentional in movies. It was a cost thing for film that kept things affordable. Low frame rates have judder and blur. Motion smoothing removes this giving a hyper realistic look, that feels like you're on set. People call it soe, but its really just fluid motion. It is the closest representation to how real motion looks. So i never turn it off. Since you said you believe there is misinformation, I've filled in some blanks. You're not a nobody. You're a person just like me. The difference being i live sleep, eat, and breathe this life. But like you im trying to help.
Your video is extremely dark. About the only thing you can see is the moving cursor bar. Looks like you’re just videoing the screen. You can do better.
Sadly no HDR+ option like on 2016-2018 Samsung tvs. Its the same as last year.

Thanks you so much Josh! I'll do my very best to be worthy of such a compliment.
Returned this tv and got the s90c... Love it
Smart calibration worked on both units.

Now update 1330 which is awesome
Thanks for this video. It helped me get my QN90C set up with a better picture.

Thanks for this. I just got the 75" QN90C and the latest update/version is 1430. Any advice or need-to-know on that?
I thought they had 720 dimming zones, perhaps the bigger tvs ? The smaller 43-50 have less zones ?
What do u mean by refresh setting. What would u do to refresh the setting. I will wait for ur answer..
Can't seem to find auto power saving, it's only got auto power off
Since the new models are coming out. Does anyone know when the 2022 models will drop in price?
Any major sale day

You keep talking about similarities to last year's TV. I don't HAVE last years TV!
Why buy this panel?
That's what I'm here to find out.👍
I currently have this TV and am trying to sell it. I hate it.
Colors are oversaturated and everything is too damn bright.
Looks awful on my Xbox too no matter how much I tinker with everything.
is this for the VA panel 43/50 inch?
I just purchased a 2023 QN90C 65" and do not have many of the settings you are showing in picture expert settings. Gets pretty confusing now.

As for local dimming, high adds blooming. Low reduces it more. This means the behavior is reversed.

Just got samsung qn95c and im not happy with settings menu. I had LG okd tv and had more useful options than this new tv. Very disappointing.
nice tour.
Thanks for watching!
