This is a great format. Really like the Q&A directly from viewers. You two make a great team.
I got the chance to see this TV side by side next to a C3 OLED. Honestly the black levels were indiscernible to my eye, but the brightness on the QN90C was noticably brither. As far as color and image everything was nearly identical for a much better price the QN90C definitely for me is a much better deal
depnds if the TV is 43/50 vs 55 and up, they have different panels? which size did you look if you remember :D ?
The Samsung QN95C has got great reviews in the U.K.
Loving the hubby & wifey team. Keep it up.
Thank you Jen and B, very informative with the various Samsung products.
We're looking to purchase this product and wanted look at the reviews first.
Thanks again 😊
B, love your reviews and your wife is such an asset for the channel... now I am off to take the test for which TV I should buy
Nice review keep up the good work B the installer
Can't wait for you guys, to do the new LG G3.
All these new models are so exciting
I just discovered your content, great videos 😊

😂 you are so right

I really like these new follow up vids. Great idea!
Like crappy plastic and eco material instead of metal in c3? 🤣
@@jarekzahary 🤓
@@jarekzahary What are you talking about?
@@highdefnews175 smaller stand doesn't support the TV as well, so it wobbles easily 😅 Not mention much less premium eco materials instead metal on the back of the tv 😂
@@jarekzahary I wasn’t complimenting the TV. I was complimenting the new style of video where B answers comments & elaborates on his earlier reviews.
Great video. Would you purchase the 55’ 90c or the U8k for HDR and cable content?
My 50” Samsung Q60C tv picture looks great, it has a very nice clear picture! Now I’m thinking of getting a 55” size Samsung Q60 tv.
Thanks very detailed review! Love this with both you and Jen…great questions! I bought the QN90A in 2021 for my daughter and we love it! Mine has a VA panel which I prefer. Bright and colorful…awesome blacks! It’s almost as good as my Sony a90j and love both for different reasons.
I got the qn90 ass well and it’s an absolute beast. Good to hear from other owners that feel the same.
@@andrew72329 I agree…I really don’t have any negative thoughts about the qn90a! No need to upgrade that one for awhile. Enjoy!
Good review 👍 Watching this on a calibrated 85” QN90B.
Is blooming an issue in dark scenes when watching a movie? How's gaming?
I'm thinking of getting the 75" version, I'd love to get the 85" but I don't have the space for it at the moment
I like your new channel format
As always great review Brandon 👍
I just bought the QN90C and love it. Even thought you find the anti reflextion weak it's much better then the TV I was using the Technicolor TC6015-uhd (good luck finding any info on it). As much as I'm impressed on the volume of available apps on the system, it's a little annoying to get back to my digital cable box. Unless there's a short cut I'm missing.
Rtings says the native contrast is low. So i guess it's requiring more work from it's mimi-LEDs so it could have more blooming.
But otherwise the PQ is much higher.
don't know how it works in the US but here in France our ISP offer set top boxes to watch TV and the QN90C have all this "boxes" integrated as apps, my TV is disconnected from the cable input I don't need it no more (and an HDMI port free since I don't need the set top box either + another freed with the soundbar connected via WIFI )
Does Quick Media switching work with this TV? Can you test with the latest 2022 Apple TV 4K? Thanks! :)
For anyone who was interested in the 90c coming into this video but was sort of put off by his take, don't be. It's basically the same as the 90b across the board (yes, including picture quality despite the change to ADS) except it fixes the hideous rainbow effect and dirty screen effect making it an upgrade over last year. And if you're like me and were interested in this as a PC monitor because you don't want to go oled, it has an RGB subpixel layout which is much better for font rendering on windows.
So it doesn't have more local dimming zones unlike QN95B vs QN95C?
@@laurencebarnes5361 It has the same amount as the 95B, but the 95C has twice as many.
@@richmahogany1710 so when it comes to the number of dimming zones at comparable sizes, only the QN95C has an advantage over the QN90B, QN95B and QN90C?
@@laurencebarnes5361 Bingo. The latter 3 have around 750 I think and the 95C has 1500 or so. The quality of the local dimming and reduction of blooming is not entirely dependent on the amount of zones though. The algorithms and processing used in controlling the backlights is just as important. For example, the higher end sony miniled TVs have about half the zones of the 90b/90c, yet the dimming quality is pretty close. Some of the budget brands like hisense and TCL have TVs with thousands more than samsung and sony, yet the dimming performance is no better.
@@richmahogany1710 thanks for your answers. The dimming zone count mentioned by you is for the respective 65 inch variants I assume? I recall the QN90B 50 inch having about 400-500 zones and the 55 inch version having a bit over 500 zones.
Also, I guess it's safe to assume that Samsung won't do worse with more dimming zones on their QN95C, they likely have improved their algorithms. The question is whether it's worth the additional price. The QN94B is at around 1700€ for 75 inch right now.
Outstanding TV
I heard from another reviewer that the 43 and the 50 inch have VA panels. While the rest of the sizes are ADS.
Bought the QN85C for living room to go with my ps5, and C400 soundbar, and I'm telling you it's absolutely outstanding clean, n spicy BRA.......
Bought the QN90C, looking forward to it.
The blooming on that TV in PS5 is horrendous. The 90C/95C is the move,100%.
@@Broxty It's fixable but idk how. I only can tell you that blooming is horrible if its connected with my pc. BUT when i use the for example youtube app, all blooming is gone and the picture is perfect. I already tried alot to fix it and im not dumb with these things, but i was not able to. It cant be that you have to call an technician to fix the picture at a 1000$ TV.
@@teeaymusik9811 You aren't able to fix it on the B, the backlight just blooms everything that his bright. It's a real shame, you can watch the B and C next to each other and it's absolutely ridiculous how much better the C is with regards to blooming. Night and day.
@@Broxty Okay, luckily i have the 90C and like i said it only makes problems with black content at my PC.
Please recommend a good quality sound bar tv mount that is ideal for dolby atmos upward firing speakers.
The samsung sound bar are heavy. Don’t want sagging. But I do want it to have a adjustable depth that the bottom of the TV doesn’t block the upward fire in speakers.
Hi there, I am from Australia and I heard in your video that I can leave my questions here if I have any. I am planning to buy SonyX90L 86 inch and checking your thoughts. Any better choice compare to this model?
Looks like I made the right choice with the QN90b
Picked it up for $899
I choose the Qn90b too will see
Blooming is worse
90c is better than 90b buddy, way better blooming control
Not true at all. The blooming on the B is horrendous. Just because you went with a budget, doesn't make the TV a good decision.
my understanding was the smaller qn90bs had the VA panels though i could be wrong
The one connect box is or is it not going to be on the qn800c?
How is it compare to the QN95B?
Thanks!
I have a qn90a and love it. Happy not to chase a,b,c.
I’m not sure I made the right decision here. I just picked up a 55 inch and I went with a 90b mostly because of this video and because the C was like $500 more. Good or Bad? Where I think I might’ve messed up is I also got the 43 inch I also went with the B but the C was about the same price. Did I make a good choice or should I have went with the C?
How come here in England were gunna be getting the qn95c with va panel but in America ur getting ips one. Also don’t are releasing the x95l in all sizes but america is only getting 85” version. It’s bizarre
Nice job changing the “core” of your videos a bit! 👍
This guy changes his tv more often than I change undies.
Hope there's a update that fixes the qn90b have to have the brightness for hdr content at around 20 as blooms to much :(
It seems like the QN90B doesn't have a true successor. The QN90C is just an upgraded version on the QN85B.
Way to admit you didn’t watch the video, that’d be the QN95C
@@jollama Except it's not. The launch price of the 55 inch qn90b was set to 1800. The qn95c is 27 or 2800 dollars for that. Almost a thousand dollars more. You could buy both the u8k, a qm8 and like all three game consoles for that same price. Maybe even with some to spare. The upcharge on that model almost makes sony look cheap. You are actually huffing copium if you think that TV is a replacement for the legacy of the qn90a/b.
Awesome 😊
Guys do u know if the hdr tone mapping works on hdr10 netflix ? Its sucks that samsung dont support dolby vision have lg oled c2 bud the tone mapping on hdr10 works verry good whit hdr10
Ok I’ve had my qn90a 85” was wondering what’s the difference with the qn90C????? Should i upgrade will this tv be better with pictures??? How much more??
I want to see this tv woth qn90a and the qn90b for compare all saga
x93l sony same price in Canada which one do you like more? Thanks
I am not an ads fan. I think Samsung is pushing qd oled hard and qn qled is not a priority for Samsung They were qled leaders and I have q90t, and I still have oled resistance. I really am looking at qn90b but after the reported issues I am not confident. I think in the fall I will go with a qd oled, not sure which one until I see full reviews and my price cap is $2600. Over $3000 for a tv to me is ridiculous.
This video answered my questions about the qn90c, and I too think it's a downgrade, but I was interested in the hdr enhancement in sdr feature, but that is not impressive so far. Great video, I enjoyed the questions featuring the wife.
They are basically making the qn95c the new qn90. The qn95c is supposed to be really good. I think they are using the local dimming from the 8k TVs in a 4K tv for the first time. The price might be a deal breaker for it though.
The plentiful dimming zones make the QN95C really attractive
Well, June 19, 2023 I bought a 55in. S90c from Best Buy for $1599. It is amazing in hdr! I thought OLEDS were dim, not this one, it is bright, the picture is beautiful.
Now I have 2 great tvs from Samsung.
I don't see the s95c in best buy, and I am fully satisfied with the s90c ( with a Q symphony soundbar and Bluetooth headphones.)
What TV stand is that?
I my region I can buy xr-77a84k for 3200eu, LG C2 83" for 3200eu and Samsung QN90B 85" for 3000eu, which one will you recommend for medium light room, 10.5ft distance and mostly movies HDR? Please advise:)
LEZGO 🔥🔥🔥
Plz which one is better and best model samsung qn 90b 85 or qn 90c 85. Plz. I want to purchase.
Since the QN90b is unavailable, would you recommend the QN90c at $2399?
I’ll take the neo qled over oled. Oled is useless in a room that has a decent bit of light coming in, and I don’t even mean a lot of light. Qled pops in a very bright room and really really good in a low light room.
QD-Oled is right choice.
In 2023 I never give 2000$ for Led tv.
The biggest problem with Samsung and, their TV line is the firmware updates they end up making them worse.
Your totally right. Samsung has done this for years, always nerfing last years TV to make their new TV look better.
I call this scamming the customers,
Yes, because of this I never buy Samsung TV.
Fixed this problem a long time ago. Slap a Chromecast w/ GTV on it. Much better interface and updates.
@mitehristov1701 what brand do you buy? What model?
@@nastyboy2144 Sony, and LG, Panasonic.
Hey B, do you notice a difference in HDR vs HDR+? I want to buy the 85in QN85 but I realized the QN90C had "HDR+" I was wondering if it'd make a difference
Just slight HDR highlights that doesn't justify the higher price. I went with the QN85C, it's stunning
I hate to diminish the High Value information your channel provides to Video/HD TV enthusiasts.......but I must say, Jen clearly classes-up your videos whenever she's on.
🤣🤣🤣👍🏽
This TV in 85 inch was $4,800 at Costco!? The 75 inch is selling for $1,800 right now at Costco.
Good gosh that is a big price drop!
Penso che il 90b x luminosita - e hdr sia il top❤
Could you guys do a review on the Samsung 65 QN85C ?
it's the same but a little less bright, just bought one.
Qn85b or 90b or 95b which one u suggest me plz help me I need best picture experience
Please do Hisense E5k 144hz
For peoples knowledge, the 43" and 50" QN90 uses VA panels. This is information easily found online if you search it. This is the version that probably should have been used instead of any other size as those use the ADS panel.
Va panal ADS panal
Which is the best panal
That whole part is now you have to tweak more to get it like last years TV. Well you can thank all the calibrators on YT for that. Them constantly harping on accuracy at all times brought forth these changes.
That said, I am fine with it, because it gives us choice. Which is never bad. It's not that hard to tweak it a bit to get the extra "umph" out of it. Whether that is "accurate" or not doesn't matter, only matters what you like.
The QN95C is significant better than the QN90C. Unfortunately Samsung chose to make this TV a significant downgrade compared to the QN95C this year.
Other than the added dimming zones how is it better? Also I hope it would be better considering it's like 50% more money. The problem is that last year they made their 95b "flagship" almost no different from the 90b, so this year they fixed that and gave you an actual reason to spend more beyond the one connect box.
Increasing the dimming zones makes quite a difference for the QN95C. It probably is worth the additional cost vs the QN90C, but given how affordable the QN90B is in all places, it is just fine to go for it.
In addition, the QN90B has a VA panel, which is better. The QN90C has an IPS panel, the QN95C has a VA panel
@@laurencebarnes5361is that in the USA or across the board? I'm in the UK and not sure what panels they are
@@bhav213 well I'm European and usually check European/German reviews, so yeah, that's how it is. Which TV model is it that you care about?
I got the 65” QN90C for 1450 USD. Was it a good deal? Or should I exchange it for a 55” S95C? It is important to notice that my living room has 3 huge windows, so initially that was the reason I went for the 90C.

Hey, I wanted to know what samsung 85-inch wothin $2000-2500 price range is good for deep blacks. I watch a lot of scary movies
The Samsung qn85b 85" is $2,299 or the stepup qn90b 85" is currently $2,599! The Qn90b is brighter, has deeper blacks, better specular highlights and shadow detail and better antiglare coating!
B, this new TV could change TVs at a fundamental level! Will u be getting one B?
Why do other videos show it has less blooming than last years?

Hi @BTheInstaller
Could you confirm if the QN95C is active matrix?
Brother no TV display on this planet has active matrix organic light emitting diodes but only oled and qdoled etcetera.........
Used primarily in smartphone and laptop displays.
@@8johnwilliams88johnwilliam9 Active matrix technology has been around since the beginning of LCDs. VA and IPS were born later, first came TFT and TN. They left them out because it cost a little more, not as much as they claimed. The biggest problem that existed in those days, when the screens were generally 4:3 format, was the errors of dead pixels in the manufacture. After 2010, those errors had been overcome, but they already had technology in hand that they were selling. Companies do not necessarily go for the best, but for what sells best.
I don't think anything ruins picture quality more than reflections. I can't stand it and my eyes will lock onto the reflection instead of the content.
