    This video has a couple of mistakes:
    1. TD-17 does not support positional sensing in any way
    2. VH-10 is not 10 inches across, it's 12 as all the Roland hi hats (VH 10,11,12,13)
    3. It's not 100% true to say that it has all TD50 sounds. It uses the same tehnology and has some sounds, but just some. It also has older sounds that were made in the SuperNatural engine and not in Prismatic.

      Hey, man, thanks for the feedback.
      1. Are you sure ? I'm gonna check that one because they told me so and I had this feeling when I played it
      2. Absolutely right, my bad
      3. Yeah, well... This is details to me, it has the main great sounds, yeah not all of them, but do you need them ? ;)

    • @LeToplache007
      @LeToplache007 6 лет назад +1

      Adrien Drums Yes, I am sure, the modules that support positional sensing are TD12,TD20,TD25,TD30 and TD50

    • @Adrien-Drums
      @Adrien-Drums  6 лет назад +1

      There is the positional sensing as the prismatic engine does that.

    • @LeToplache007
      @LeToplache007 6 лет назад +4

      Adrien Drums On the TD50, yes, on the TD17 no, the PDX-12 snare is not capable of positional sensing since it does not have the center mounted cone trigger rather the side mounted trigger, and positional sensing can't be done with a side mounted trigger. I'm sure Drum-Tec would already demonstrate the positional sensing if it were available, but only Roland modules with positional sensing are TD12/10/20/25/30/50. Google it for yourself if you think I am wrong.

    Salut Adrien ! je reviens 1 an après mais ça y est, en tant qu'étudiant le choix d'une batterie électronique s'impose! je pense prendre le TD17 kvx mais j'aurais 2 questions :
    - En tant que gaucher jouant sur une position droitier, est ce que la ride peut-être mise à gauche?
    - Pour enregistrer la batterie sur des compositions musicales, qu'est ce que tu pourrais conseiller ? utiliser addictive drum avec une carte son ?
    Voila en tout cas merci d'avance et très bonne vidéo comme dab meme un an après :))

    • @Adrien-Drums
      @Adrien-Drums  6 лет назад

      Merci! Oui sur le model KVX et KV, donc plutot silencieux, le kick n'est pas maillé mais très silencieux sur les bruit aeriens, par contre tu auras toujours des vibrations donc il te faudra un tapi ou alors un de leur systems d'amortissement. Après tout dépend de l'isolation de ton appartement ou de ta maison, si tu es au rez de chaussé etc... en tout cas le nouveau kick fait moins de bruit que les anciens ;)

    • @MarkuzP66
      @MarkuzP66 6 лет назад

      Hm..and did you ask yourself why your were pretty sure to get such comment? ;-).Maybe it's because you and some other influencers were invited from roland to test the TD17 @roland headquarters some weeks ago. I would say that roland has done this with an ulterior motive. This is very popular nowadays that youtubers become promotion partners. Sometimes the use a special hairspray in their Videos. Never heard about it??? Can't imagine that! Could be that you really like the TD17 but I think that the objectivity is missing when U make such a video. BTW. Did you buy you TD50DP (seen in this unboxing video ruclips.net/video/I9gttcLP3Qg/видео.html) or did you get for free from Roland? Because U ask you my opinion. I don't have experiences with the TD17. I had a TD50DP but I sold it because I don't like the Sound of it. Roland Hardware is really nice and some features (Pos. Sensing, Crossstick feature of the digital Snare and damping of the new Ride) but the Sounds are still Crap in 2018! You can get Kits with much better Sounds these days for less money. The fact that U are always use SSD4 (StevenSlateDrums) library Sounds in your Videos instead of the Roland internal Sounds speaks for itself;-). Don't get me wrong - I like your Videos and you are a very talented drummer but I would appreciate if you insert a little note or Logo in your Video to make clear that this is "advertising". :-)

    • @Adrien-Drums
      @Adrien-Drums  6 лет назад +1

      Thanks for taking the time to reply man. Just to be clear, I have been using Roland product for more than 10 years, and way before being endorsed. And I never had any problems with my drums, even tho I hit hard.To be 100% transparent with you, They sent me the TD 50DP (on my demand) WITHOUT ASKING ANYTHING specifically. Of course they expected me to do some videos with it, but without any "rules" or "commercial wording" so to speak. For the event that you mentioned, they asked us if we could cover the event, not to do "positive" reviews about their products. I was pretty sure that I would have comments like this because I know how it looks like. But man, you can't imagine how much PAID propositions I have every month to do reviews on some product, and I ONLY say yes when I like the product and when I think that it's a great stuff and that people should know about this (ie Aerodrums). This is important to me because this is my "image" and my credibility, I don't want to advertise something I don't like and something I don't use. So yeah I stand for Roland because I love their products, they are solid, innovative, last long and they are beautiful ;). I use samples for 2 reasons, they are "mix ready" so easier to record, but mainly because I can change the sound very easily when I'm mixing to get closer the original song. Now the TD 50 has great fonctions to records so I might switch sometimes, especially because the sounds have more definitions, and more nuances, that samples can't provides(so it will mainly depends on the songs I will be covering...). I think that the sounds in the TD 50 are fantastic, but they are "raw", and they need a little tweakings to fit your own expectations (well in my case), for example, the presets had too much bleeding for me, but you can remove it very easily. Anyway, I'm not trying to convert you, sound is subjective (but "crap".... come on!)

    • @MarkuzP66
      @MarkuzP66 6 лет назад

      Thank you for answering in detail! I agree with you about the reliability and the nice recording features over USB. The internal Song recorder of theTD50 is a joke! I can't record longer than 2-3 minutes:-) which isn't enough for just ONE song! You praise the Sample overlay feature from TD 50 and 17 but you didn't mentioned that this feature is very half-hearted implementd by Roland because you can only use ONE Sample as an overlay. NO Multisample, NO Round Robin like in other Modules like 2Box or mimic pro. So its not useful for importing sound from a drum library like SD3 or SSD4, like you have described in your video. What I like on Roland eDrums is that they try to simulate the different articulations and playing styles with edrums. This could be a good reason for a beginner to learn to play drums like playing an acoustic. They have to improve the sounds to be more realistic and eleminate machinegunning (Toms are still horrible). Cheers!

    • @Adrien-Drums
      @Adrien-Drums  6 лет назад +1

      Yeah, I can understand your point of view about the song recorder, I wish it would have been a bit more also, but you can add an SD card on the module to be free to go ;) Yeah if you import samples, you can only layer one sound, this is why I mentioned a clap, because you don't really need multisample on a clap ;) Did you tried it on toms? As you dont like them it might work for you, because same thing, you dont really need the multisampling on toms (well... not most of the time, exept for Ari Hoening :p ) plus, multisamples on software is also very limited, it's soft, middle, an loud (to sum up) so..... maybe if you do a 50-50 with a middle-hit sample it could work. I will try it
