    Thanks dude. I was between the kv and kvx, but now it's clear that the kvx is worth saving for. The cymbal upgrades are what does it for me

    I bought the KVX and added an extra pad and Cymbal. I love it but not having a separate volume control for the headphones is a huge mistake and pain in the arse in a live setting.

    What happened to the cymbal boom stands? roland ditched the boom stands and jacked the price 200$

    • @RADERFPV
      @RADERFPV 3 года назад +2

      I know, right? Pretty lame really. I was considering it at the $1,600 price point, but not now since they jacked it up and removed the boom stands. I think I'll just settle on the Alesis Crimson 2 for now, and will consider Roland when they stop price gouging. I'll check back in 2 years Roland.

    The 2box lightspeed vs td17 kv the kvx might beet the 2box set but its also a lot more. I have the kv and was very disappointed in the lower end cymbals of the roland.

    I will never understand why the kick pedals don’t come with your purchase even if you give me a great answer I’m still going to say I just don’t get it. These kits aren’t cheap the least they could do is give you the whole kit?

      drummers usually have/want their own pedals it doesn't make sense to pay more for something you won't use

    • @matthewpurcell6943
      @matthewpurcell6943 2 года назад

      Usually hood pedals are $200-400 on the low end, just buy them separately you won’t regret getting a good pair, they easily last 10+ years if you get good ones

    I’m on the fence between the KV and the KVX but with buying an additional cy13/15 with the prior. I guess the main thing is, if your just using two cy8 as crashes, is the difference in cymbal quality and the hi hat worth it. I did own a TD9 years ago and the hi hate seemed fine. Would appreciate your thoughts

    • @patruoase
      @patruoase Год назад

      @@jtzoltan that is cool. Just about to press “buy” myself. I am not sure I now what you mean by KVX2S…If you wonder about the difference between KVX1 and KVX2 then the main difference is the Cynbells, bigger, thinner, much more responsive. The module has an upgraded version with more kits, but then you can just update the first gen module with a simple download.

    • @jtzoltan
      @jtzoltan Год назад

      @@patruoase yeah from the sounds of it the KVX2 isn't enough over the KVX1 (if the price difference is large at least)... I think it's a really solid kit, the module seems pretty good, has a lot of kits and ways to modulate the sounds. The ride bells suck for some reason, I'll see if I can load in a better sample for it.

    • @rxw5520
      @rxw5520 3 месяца назад

      these kits are now generation 2, this video is obsolete as it reviews generation 1.
      in the generation 2 sets, there are only two differences between the sets, which are two upgrades you get with the kvx2 vs the kv2. The hi-hat and the extra crash. otherwise they are identical sets (same ride, bass drum, snare, etc). This means kv2 can be upgraded down the road to be identical to the KVX2 just with the hi hat (VH-10, plus must buy hi hat stand separately) and the extra crash (CY12C-T), or other compatible hi hat/crash of your choice.
      The first generation KV in this video was not a popular kit bc it just needed too many upgrades to be like a kvx, but the KV2 is much more straightforward to upgrade down the road.

    I just bought TD27 from sweetwater why am I watching this Lolol was expensive but it’s only $70 a month!!!

    • @minisurfbanana
      @minisurfbanana 4 года назад +1

      Jars Shew loving it!!! I had the same thoughts before i bought it. Everything for an extra $1200 are all upgraded. Sweetwater was having a 48/months sale so the difference was $63 a month to $38. So for another $20 u get the better model. Thats the price difference. Its $125 and $75 difference! Cause its 24 months finance!
      TD 17 i Didnt like the small tom pads...the snare was ok...the rack was too tight...the cymbals were all small.
      TD 27 is better module cymbals pads...real snare size! But are willing to pay an extra $1200?
      I think having the TD 17 module with my TD27 kit would be the only thing i would replace to save money.
      I was going to buy the VAD306 but wasn't in stock. And still today not in stock!
      The only thing I want to change maybe to may be get a 12in tom for my "floor tom" other than that its perfect.
      If I had to do it all over again and the 48 months financing is available still I probably would've gotten the VAD306. $500 cheaper and or also The Alesis Strike force pro $1000 cheaper or SE version $500. But really wanted a Roland.
      So many factors involved. So for the long dribble...loving drumming!!! LoL

    • @minisurfbanana
      @minisurfbanana 4 года назад +1

      Jars Shew too bad you couldn't try these drums out at the stores...would have made my choices simpler. But tried the TD17 and TD25 before so i expected that from the TD27. Drum sizes makes a difference...thats why ended up getting DW Performance kit. Now i can play quiet and loud. But still like 90/10 on the Ekit.
