Is the square screen obvious at all or stand out? In other words, does it blend with the glass black surround, or are there times where you can see the square screen?
I got one of these purely to replace an original Echo (one of the big massive Pringles-can looking ones) because I wanted a visible clock in my room along with the smart functionality. It does the job, but the software is FLAKY; for instance, changing the clock colours - sometimes it works, sometimes it works but ten minutes later, sometimes... nothing. But it does the job, I guess.
These devices are so frustrating , Amazon can't stop Interfering with what you want displayed. Ads for other services, "you might like this" , because you asked it something it sticks on the screen and you have to tell it what you want displayed .. Arggggggg....
