Oh my gosh where have you been all my life(well,20 years of my life). I have been trying to figure out this (what feels like rocket science) for my hair. Love Love Love this!!! Thank you for this video
Hey at least you don’t have to go another 20 years without my hair tips 💜 So glad you’re here and thanks for watching
@@TheAngeSchofield you are so welcome 😁
Love your intro vid! Love the AG texture spray! I've used it awhile back on my Brides to add some texture to help with the updos! Adds enough "grit" to help hold the bobby pins while adding that nice shine that's not too overpowering. Good to know you also love that same product :) xo
Thank you so much! Yes it is so amazing for texture.... not too much but just enough! And the smell is amazing ❤️
Very helpful thank you! Trying to try body into my fine strands 😊
You're so welcome! Fine hair definitely needs great product
Thanks for the tips! 💕
You are so very welcome ❤️
I won a bottle of texture spray and had no clue what it was so this vid really helped
It’s a great added benefit for volume ❤️ happy to help with the texture spray knowledge
@@TheAngeSchofield tysm!!❤️
I gotta get me some of this AG texture spray! You definitely had volume when you sprayed it!
It's so good!
I love your makeup
Thank you 💕 definitely not a pro makeup artist
Love the video! Would you recommend I curl my hair first then use the texture spray or spray first then curl?
You honestly could do either or... if your hair doesn’t like to hold a curl you could use the texture spray first BUT if it curls nicely and stays pretty well I would just use the texture spray similar to a hairspray ❤️
Hello! I have long thick hair, and my hair is naturally a little bit wavy. My dad has straight hair and my mom has curly.. so my hair is usually straight with a few waves in there. I never really style my hair, I just add oil to make it less frizzy with flyaways BUT I would like to add something to my hair care that would make it look like I styled it without using a straightener or curler..would you recommend a texture spray for me? Or what would you recommend. I try to not use heat tools on my hair a lot, I really want to enhance my natural thick straight/wavy hair but in just not sure how to. I want to make it look styled rather than just tamed if you know what I mean. I’d love any recommendation 😊
Texture spray wouldn’t be the best choice. I would suggest a curl cream that will help enhance your natural texture... a great choice would be Joico Zero Heat Air Dry Styling Creme, Kendra Curl Defining Creme, or Paul Mitchell Invisible Wear Cloud Whip.
All these can put added to your hair while it is damp and you can just let it air dry. If you watch this video I use the joico and Paul Mitchell product (Joico is used at 1 min into the video and Paul Mitchell is used at 6:05)
Have you got any information on pantene's sweet mess texturising sugar spray,?

I haven’t used that one. I did do a little research about it and it seems like most people like it, the only weird thing I read was the spray is wet/liquid form vs a mist and you have to wait for it to dry on your hair which seems makes me think it may make your hair feel sticky or not as touchable.
I have trouble styling my hair up like buns or ponytails or braids because my hair is always very slippery (silky) and it kind of just slips out after a while. By using texture spray before tying my hair will it make my hair easier to style?
Omg yes!!! That’s the best way to use it.... puts some grip to your hair so then it doesn’t slip right out 💕
@@TheAngeSchofield thanks for answering so quickly! Time to go buy some spray ☺️
So if I have a habit of running my fingers through my hair, I wouldn’t have trouble with the AG? Would it go flat from running fingers through my hair? I have fine hair and while I enjoy the look of texture and how well my hair holds in an up style with it, I hate how the sea salt texture sprays make my hair feel unmanageable or how some of the aerosol sprays are hardening and stiff. I need root lift on top too!
With the AG tousled texture you cant feel it in your hair unlike a lot of other texture sprays....it’s not sticky or stiff at all. Unfortunately the more you run your hands through your hair it will loose up the holding power since it’s more light weight. But I would honestly just keep a travel size bottle in my purse and reapply when needed since it is light weight and won’t become heavy on your fine hair! For needing root lift I would recommend using Root Pump by Big and Sexy when it’s wet and then dry your hair, it does wonders for creating lift! Let me know if this helps or if you have any other questions!
The Hair Lounge By Angelina Schofield thank you! I’m off to search Ulta’s app to see if they carry it!
Awesome I hope you love it
What do you think of the AG Tousled texture?
Which gives hair more grip? I'm searching for one to give grip to real smooth hair to prep it for making smaller braids.
The spray clay definitely has ALOT more grip to it
What lipstick are you using!! They look gorgeous!!
Thank you! It’s NYC Butter Gloss in Peaches and Cream | Pink Coral
Hey! Thank you for sharing this video! I am looking for a texture spray that will help me. I have naturally almost straight hair and I do like to curl it. I have thick hair so sometimes the weight of my hair makes it so the curls don't last. Hair spray sometimes works but not for a long period of time. Any advice for me?
So do you happen to have layers in your hair? That really helps with the weight and keeping those curls in longer. Texture spray, specifically the AG one I love for thick hair as it doesn’t weigh the hair down.
@@TheAngeSchofield yes I do have layers. Ok I’m going to try texture hair spray! Wish me luck! Thank you!
what about for wet texturizing spray? i haven’t had time to go get the dry product.
You can get similar results using it wet or using wet spray. Depending on the brand it may leave the hair a little crunchy and look more like salt spray but it will and volume and separation
Do you still recommend AG textured spray? It's hard to find right now and I didn't know if you have another product that you like better since it's been about a year since you posted this video. Let me know please. Thank you
Yes I do love AG texture spray but I do also love Kenra Dry Volume Burst ❤️

Would you ever use this on straight hair or is it just for curls/waves?I have very fine, wavy hair that I usually straighten. I bought some texture spray (Amika brand) planning to try to use it and wear my hair wavy sometimes. Not sure if I would ever want to use it when my hair is straight. Maybe instead of dry shampoo to give my hair more lift without the chalky look??
Yes to all those things!!! Texture spray doesn’t have to be used just for curls you can also spray it on straight her to create movement, body and volume. I really love the Kendra Volume Burst spray because it does absorb oil as well so it a a 2 for 1 (without the chalk look)
@@TheAngeSchofield thank you!
Happy to help
I have fine hair with curls and some fuzz. I just got Monet texture spray, will that work? My hair gets super soft after washing until I put products in it. Hairsprays my friend but can get too sticky. I’m in the dry side. I live in the Desert and I’m getting old!
I would say you would love the texture spray. I haven’t used the Monat one before BUT I would imagine it will do exactly what you are looking for. Add non sticky texture to “dirty” up your hair a little so it won’t be so soft ❤️
I have shoulder length wavy hair and i also have a lot of dandruff. How to i use the spray without getting more dandruff and is it ok if i use it after blowdrying my hair?
This shouldn’t cause more dandruff since you are spraying it on your mid shaft- ends. Before washing your hair I would try to use a boar bristle brush to remove your dandruff, shampoo it out of your hair, then blow dry... and yes you can use the texture spray after blow drying
What order do you use texture spray with heat protection..or is there a product with both in it?
I would do heat protection spray first then texture spray
How do I use hair oil and texture spray after washing my hair? Is it okay if I use the spray after applying a few drops of oil in the lengths?
Yes you can spray the texture spray then apply the oil in the ends...sometimes I will also do texture spray... oil... and texture spray again
@@TheAngeSchofield Thank you!
I have a styling gel that I use and can scrunch my hair to enhance my curls. Can texture spray do the same?
It’s very different because gel will give you more hold than a texture spray will. Texture spray has more of a light hold more like a hair spray but less sticky
So I have short hair and I wanted a kind of messy look does texture help with that?
Yes or even layers if you don’t have layers
I have fine, thin, and curly hair. I got the oribe dry texturizing spray and feel like my hair looks crunchy when I use it out of the shower with curling cream. I decided to reserve it for when I give myself blowouts and go for more polished and subtle curls. I use the kerastase Blowdry smoothing primer, and a little bit of Moroccan oil. Do you think using hairspray with it is a good idea to finish? Or would the texture spray be enough? I’m also prone to hair fallout and am worried about how it could damage my hair in the long run, thoughts?
Texture spray is awesome because it gives you a light weight hold but it’s not crunching or stiff. If you want your style to have more of a set look you could finish your style with hairspray but I would suggest to use something not super heavy since you do have fine hair. The texture spray should be enough though and what is nice about texture spray is you can always add more unlike the hairspray... if you keep adding hairspray hair gets stiff
Can you use it on damp hair and if so what would that do?
You actually can but I have never done it before. From what I have read it makes your hair look beachy almost like if you were to use sea salt spray
Does texture spray help with flyaways? If so, can it be used before curling the hair? I am getting back into the salon & having a hard time finding something that works well when curling hair for my special occasion hairstyles.
I wouldn’t say it helps a lot with flyaway as it doesn’t have a lot of control. It’s more of a separating spray or adds a little grit to the hair. I would try a thermal protection spray in aerosol form for the flyaways and then set with a hairspray after curling
@TheAngeSchofield thank you so much for the helpful tips! I will try this on my next special occasion style. I appreciate the feedback. It's always great to learn from other stylists!
If you comb your hair after applying that spray, does it still look voluminous??
Unfortunately if you run your hands through your hair or if you brush it out it will remove some of the volume. This is similar to a hairspray (not as stuff) so if you disrupt the spray it will not look as full.
Hi... i just purchase the sgx nyc dry texture spray. I want something to hold my flip in place after straightening. Would texture spray do the job?
I haven’t used that particular product but from what it looks like it has a flexible hold. So it is similar to hairspray if you want something with a firmer hold you may want to try hairspray
@@TheAngeSchofield i tried many different hairspray they make my hair feel dirty stiff and crunchy. so i don't use anything in my hair. i changed my hairstyle and the hair dresser she straighten my hair with inward flips it looked amazing. but, the flip on my right side just fall flat😭
and i came across the texture spray. i read good reviews about it and decided to give it a go. this morning i saw your video after purchasing this texture spray. just wanted to know if to use it before or after straightening my hair. probably i just have to experiment myself😔
@@singerwaheedakhan6473 I would do it before and after 🥰 give it a little base hold and then lock it into place
@@TheAngeSchofield okay thank you i'll try it in the morning
@@singerwaheedakhan6473 happy to help
Any good ones for oily hair
I’ve heard really great things about
TRIPLE DRY 15
MEDIUM CONTROL DRY TEXTURIZING SPRAY.
Maybe give that one a try
Can this spray be used before heat styling or only after heat styling??
Honestly it just depends on what your goal is… if used before it will add grit and texture to your hair. If used after it will leave a soft volume and light hold to your hair. Personally I like using it both ways ❤️
Do you use it only after curling or also before?
You can do both
What do they smell like? Do they contain alcohol? I want a volumizing spray that won't damage / dry out my dyed hair, and I dislike the smell of hairspray.
The AG Tousled Texture has a very light floral scent. It does contain alcohol in it but it also has a lot of other ingredients that are very moisturizing like Vitamin A and C and Seaberry Oil.
The Spray Clay by Big Sexy is dry feeling since it is more of a matte finish and it also contains alcohol. I’m not a huge fan of the smell honestly... it kind of makes me cough after spraying it.
I would suggest the AG
@@TheAngeSchofield Thanks! : D
@@TheAngeSchofield So the AG was out of my price range, and I tried a bunch of products myself, and I liked the cream you apply to wet hair idea, also the John Frieda spray, which smells good.
I definitely understand some products can be pretty spendy! I’m glad you were able to find some products that you like and it’s always a plus when they smell great
Its good for holding hairstyle all the day along?
I wouldn’t say it has a strong hold like a hairspray would but it gives your hair texture all day
@@TheAngeSchofield very well thank you young lady
Ur supposed to use it on damp hair an then blow dry lightly
Some yes you can
Hi, is this spray alcohol free?
Neither sprays are alcohol free. Since they are aerosol sprays alcohol is on it to help with quick drying of the spray
@@TheAngeSchofield Thank you for the reply!
Can this be washed away just like a dry shampoo?
Yes it can
Love the Contant just hurts my ears
Ok
I thought she would never shut up. Over four minutes in to get to actually using the spray. 😂
