Loving your videos mate, thanks for sharing. Have you done any training courses? How did you get into pressure washing? I’m wanting to start but don’t know whether it’s just a case of getting a pressure washer and learning as you go?

I used to use cold-lay tarmac a lot in my old construction days. If you lay it down very thin then it will peel back off. It's best where it's just a covering to dig down so you get a couple of inches in depth. The stickiness will soon go out of it and will compact and set to an excellent hard layer.

Mate offer it to customers but set expectations. Just say i won't know how long it's going to last, and you can tell it's been patched, although it's better than having a gaping hole. Cheap fix without breaking the bank. Tiny amount compared to a hot tarmac fix. Great job and the sealer looks mint.

I had a new tarmac drive done in 2019. One of my neighbours had theirs done the following year. In 2021 I resealed mine using tarmaseal, week later another neighbour had a new tarmac drive. I can confirm as of now mine looks 10 times better than both of theirs. I’m a painter by trade and the schoolboy mistake I made was the amount of material used to cut in, in certain angles it’s visible. Don’t lash it on with the brush and it’ll look mint.

While you can see the repair IF you know where to look, anyone who didn't know there where repairs wouldn't spot them without a good look. I used similar stuff on a driveway repair where I used to live. I had to use a lump hammer to pack it down, as the Tamper I bought just didn't pack enough pressure. It was still looking OK after a year when we moved although without being sealed it did take a while to stop being sticky.
I think you should be pleased with how it turned out, looks a lot better. I would offer small patch repair as an additional service but manage customers expectations so they know it won't be a perfect match but it will be good.
