The style looks amazing! I've been playing with a water only routine for years. I've found that distilled water really helps. The fact it's soft means it'll remove any heavy metals and impurities deposited by your tap, leaving your sebum much softer, smoother, and thinner. Makes it a _lot_ easier to work with. Lately, I've added enough vinegar to bring the pH of the distilled water down to 5 (your acid mantle on your skin and hair is 4.5 to 5.5). That helped even more. I know it's technically not only water, but it's a pH balancing thing, not a product thing. And it's not strictly necessary. The distilled water by itself for me made a water only routine very sustainable. here I live the water is fairly hard.

Did you buy a water filter shower head? Was the shower head costly?

@@bestill6505 No, but I've read a lot if people do that. Apparently it makes a big difference. I live in a very old house, and am a renter. Tbh I'm afraid of fooling around with the plumbing. I tried it once, and the house started to flood lol

@@callmeswivelhips LOL... I rent to but looking at changing the shower head only. Amazon have some filter shower heads but Ebay is way cheaper. I'm in the UK And the water is awful. You made me crack up...

@@bestill6505 aha, in happy to hear I made you laugh!! And j believe you about the water in the uk. My sister lives just outside Cambridge.
I dont have a shower head filter, but the one I have _is_ detachable, which is important to me. I like to focus on the hairline, washing toward the crown. And then from the crown to the hairline all the way around. I find I have better sebum distribution that way. I just use a mister bottle afterward to clarify with the distilled.

I loooove that you spoke about Ph! So funny, I tinker with cosmetics in my spare time, but for my hair I just eyeball the ph of my rinses. I love that you use distilled water! I try to use a shower filter because it’s cost effective and accessible for most people. Depending on how often someone rinses their hair, distilled water can get expensive! For those who are interested in using distilled water, would you share in the comments how often you rinse your hair and about how much distilled water you use?
*I love adding hibiscus or aloe vera in my rinses to lower Ph! What do you like to use?

Okay, This is turning out really nice, actually. You're like me the first time I saw my bantu knot out. (Have since shaved, though). Neeed to get back on the sebum train.😅
Who will separate curls?? Miss ma'am, is not me please.
Oh? I'm gonna look for this brush!

Thank you so much!! And yes I said minimal hair care for a reeeaaason. That would've added another hour! 😂 But maybe one day I’ll step my curl separating game up this year, we shall see lol
