Salutations Ashley. I am loving... This content-I love the water washing! I've been doing this technique to mine and my daughter's hair for about 6 months NOW-THANK YOU FOR information. I hated the consumption of the 'these natural hair products' which is pushed... Me I love water washing and I wash my hair once a month or longer... Whoa!!! Also, the filtered shower... Changed my hair, skin and life.
    Bless up gurl... ❤️❤️❤️❤️♥️😘

Onion juice is amazing and it helped to promote growth in the front of my hairline. Also, I use white vinger an peppermint oil.

Thank you so much for this! I’ve been WOWing for a few years now but have been discouraged as of late because my hair has been so so dry. All these tips are so helpful and I can’t wait to implement them!

Yaaaay - glad I could be helpful! I have gone through a few dry spells myself, mostly due to dehydration. Definitely drink more water (lemon water also tends to dilute the sebum coming from my scalp, sometimes leaving my hair feeling slightly dry, so I try to make sure I massage my scalp when I do drink lemon watter). And then maybe try three water rinses a week for about two weeks, making sure to be gentle as you distribute the sebum, concentrating at the roots (that’s probably where it all is!), massaging to wake the sebum up (liquify), and spreading it down. One of those rinse days could also be an herbal rinse day - do you currently use anything like teas, rinses, or masks?
Ultimately, how often you rinse will depend on your sebum production, length of hair, type of hair, and lifestyle! I am so glad you feel motivated to keep going!

You're glowing! Also, great video, thank you! I've been struggling abit, actually. Been washing every day, pretty much, and my sebum seems to be disappearing...
    Hmm. Acv rinses. Okay, cool.
Wait. Hot water not necessary!? Ah. Ah. Seriously!?
Ayam my own enemy in this case😭😭😭😭
    Thankfully, I don't need a filter.
    Very helpful, yes.

      🤣 The comments!
ACV rinses are dope - start with 1part ACV, 4 Parts water, and change to 1:3 if necessary. But if you’re not feeling your sebum, stay away from these for at least a month. And try not to rinse every day -focus first on massaging your scalp (gently move the scalp around with your fingers - not moving your fingers around your scalp) for five minutes. Focus on stimulating your scalp to get the sebum to produce or move. When you scoop or spread it down, be gentle. Use a spray bottle filled with warm water, separate into sections, and spritz the roots. Then massage that area. I guarantee the sebum is there and is trying to say hi! When you feel it, apply it to oyur ends, about 2 inches down. Again be gentle - just a soft application a few times to layer it up should work. After about a week, your strands may be coated with it’s first layer of sebum.
Another tip: Sebum coverage definitely comes in layers. So know that you’re goal is to have a few light layers of sebum on your hair. Applying the sebum from your scalp directly to your ends will also help with this. Be gentle! I’m so excited for you!! Please keep me updated!

@@ashercreatives7112 Will definitely update.😃 Though I cut my hair all off recently, so I only have about two month's worth of growth. So, the sections bit might be alittle tricky, but I will do my best. Glad to hear it comes in layers though. It sounds really cool, and like I shouldn't freak out if it feels really oily.(guilty of that in the past).
I think I might invest in a wig though, since I will be washing less.

Oh! If you have shorter hair you should have coverage in literally no time! I’m even jealous 😂 Short hair is amazing! If you massage your scalp, pull four fingers away, and rub or press them together - you should feel something slightly sticky. Then it will dry and feel like a layer of something like a pomade or shea butter on your finger tips. That’s your glorious sebum. If you hair feels oily all over and you haven’t really put oil on your hair, it’s definitely your sebum. If the sebum feels too heavy and thick, cut the sebum with an oil rinse or ACV rinse. And I love wiiiigggsss. Your hair will thrive under there lol. Just keep up with gentle scalp massages at night and you should be fine!!

Hi! I started this method about 6 months ago. I started by cutting off all my hair and now it has grown back a little. The problem is I feel no sebum and every time I water rinse my hair it looks dry like a white/grey tint. I scalp massage daily and I feel no sebum on my finger tips. It's been months. I cut down from water rinsing every day and I'm trying once a week because I felt like my hair was constantly dry. Any suggestions? Thank you!!!

For someone who is starting out and doesn’t have that much sebum coverage...would you recommend using conditioner on the length of the hair just to aid with detangling?

    • @ashercreatives7112
      @ashercreatives7112  3 года назад +2

Yes that’s a great idea! But try to use a conditioner that is food based! You could also make a simple detangler with marshmallow root! Make some tea or a mask with marshmallow root, detangle, then add a bit of Shea butter or jojoba oil to your ends
