Isn't the BOOM BOOM! amazing!!!!????? We have literally the same hair I call it 4z. My natural oils have changed my life. I don't wash my hair for months, I like to stretch it as long as possible because I love the thick moisturizing natural oils and my hair has never looked better I just use a spray bottle with WATER ONLY, scritch and spread, every week and twist it up. The sebum coverage is so glossy and amazing, waiting that long, my hair is now like silk where it used to be dry and crispy and breaking. I don't use any acv. I don't use any products. When you do it like me, the moisturization is amazing. I spray with spring water, scrub my scalp with my ends to get it down on the ends and it cleans my scalp too. My hair life is totally different and my hair is actually beautiful now. If you don't want your curls to stick up, after taking it down but before seperating you can run a flat iron on the roots in the direction you want the hair to go and it'll lay them down a bit.

I have been doing only water washing for 5 months. I cut my locs so I started on short hair. In the beginning, I did feel the sebum and I had a beautiful shine without using any oils but as my hair grew I noticed my hair became extremely dry and my scalp is itchy. Did you experience any dryness or itchy scalp?I’m still washing my hair with just water and using olive oil and coconut oil.

I've been doing cold water only washing with no products for 6 months. My hair growth has accelerated and my hair is soft with no breakage, my curl pattern is more defined. I mostly keep my hair in 2 strand twists soo easy to maintain 😅

Hi! I started this method about 6 months ago. I started by cutting off all my hair and now it has grown back a little. The problem is I feel no sebum and every time I water rinse my hair it looks dry like a white/grey tint. I scalp massage daily and I feel no sebum on my finger tips. It's been months. I cut down from water rinsing every day and I'm trying once a week because I felt like my hair was constantly dry. Any suggestions? Thank you!!!

If you start with your hair soaking wet then the rollers will turn out smoother. The hydrogen bond temperature break when the hair is wet and set in place again when it dries. If you start with wet hair it dries in the shape of the rollers more smoothly. It might not be bone straight but the key to the roller set Is wet hair if not setting lotion.

This video motivated me to try this and actually stick with it. "No products just water". And its crazy how my bf been trying to tell me my hair don't need anything in it. As he will say chemicals. And if course a long rant. About how people back then didn't have it or use it. And they hair did just well without . And I didn't listen. Til now lol. Cause our head produces sebum on it own which is way better. Then using products. Like using so many different products or any at all causes..the sebum to get manipulated as my bf will say by different chemicals that our head don't need. My head so itchy !! Like ugh!! I swear im not gone miss using all the chemicals lol!!

I will do a deep treatment every 3 weeks with olive oil, castor oil,and a moisturized conditioner, let in sit for hours 2 and for daily moisturizing I only use water and that grows my hair. And protective style all the time. I don't style my hair at all, I only comb it once a month., and trim it once a month and it's growing. I keep it simple. And water has made my hair very strong follicles, it's very hard to break my hair.

But how do you clean your scalp then

After getting full sebum coverage, I may try my satin foam rollers again. Or a flexi rod set. I don't do water only, I do use a shampoo bar because of scalp issues caused by hormones. But so far I have lost significantly less hair detangling. I think the shampoo bar is helping make my hair healthier with the use of aloe vera juice and acv.

What about mixing rosemary water with the quinoa water? I have dried rosemary that I used to make a rosemary tea for my hair and it works well. I have been thinking about mixing in a little bit of quinoa water also.
