Mr J.K. is a great human and bootmaker! Wearing my normal bison superduties as I write this.
He got a set of 12” black leather superdutys setup exactly like this pair, best investment I’ve ever made. Coming up on 1 year of ownership wearing every other day. I’ve got a pair of thorough goods I bought 2 months after these that I alternate between every other day. The jks are still immaculate, and the through goods are almost trashed… so I ordered another pair of jk superdutys a couple days ago. This time it was this exact spec boot! Super excited to wear jks every day all day.

I thought yall use a thick leather shank not metal?
We do use thick leather shanks on most of our boots! You can see being added at at 2:22 . Our Climber boot model has a metal shank + a lineman shank for extra support. Я не понимаю зачем прошивать через подошву снизу, подошва протрется и нитки прошивки тоже, и через нитки будет попадать влага в ботинок
