Let's be honest, guys. Batman singing beautifully to convince Circe to return Diana to her human form was by far his most badass moment in the entire DCAU. What a CHAD 😎💪
In the original TAS, another episode that had you right in the feels, was the episode where he rescued all those orphaned children from underneath Gotham.
8:01 This moment is my absolute favorite. For one reason. It brings an aspect of his mindset that is rarely shown, especially nowadays, upfront. His main reason for being Batman is not revenge. It's to ensure that no kids experience the same tragedy he did. And this scene shows that in how he interacts with Ace. Ace has already experienced so much pain and Batman knows this. He also knows that he cannot change that. So he gives her the one thing he knows she has always wanted. A parental figure who genuinely cares for her. The same way his parents cared for him.
Batman Is all about compassion most of his enemies are very angry and broken people, and he wants them to be healed and go forth their past crimes keeping them in check because off shame, and those who are not he will check them (neutralize) to ensure they do the least damage, and will not kill because he knows it just opens a path that is so evil and easy he knows he would be worse than any criminal he has meet and feels that as long as he can look his parents in the eye and ask has he done good he will continue - - - and we has seen the evil batman as he is without mercy , without compassion , without soul and without any hope of redemption, a being who his parents could no longer love
When Batman said to Batman that their parents would've liked that better Gotham, that was the nail in the coffin for Batman to help the Justice League defeat the Justice Lords. By no means did Batman hate the better Gotham. What he despised was the way it became the better Gotham.
When Peter Cullen was coming up the voice for Optimus Prime, his marine brother said, "Be strong enough to be gentle." That's what Batman was when he talked to Ace.
The Omega Beam one makes sense, but not because of Batman, but because of Darkseid. Darkseid always plays with his food, and can control the level of strengh or how fast and deadly his beams are, because he enjoys to see people suffer, and this includes seeing them trying to scape. This is also why he burned Damian instead of killing him when he blocked the beam directed to Batman, because he wanted to torture Bruce for opposing him, giving a painful and slow death.
@@lugismansion2400 something interesting is that most of the time characters in the multiverse tend to have the same personality, but circumstances change how they are. 8:45 It's so sad and wholesome to see Batman neutralizing a potential threat, not by just beating them, but by comforting them and saying that he shares and understands their pain and suffering. Too bad that peaceful method doesn't work on most of his enemies.
I like how the benchmark for wether or not you've written Batman correctly is literally just if you can feasibly have that Batman do the Ace scene in character
1:00 Batman: "You are Wally West. You are Diana Prince. You're Clark Kent. You're John Stewart" Flash: "Cool, Batsy. And now it's your turn...reveal your true identity" Batman: *removes mask, revealing another bat mask underneath it* "Batman. Are you happy, now?" Flash: "Smart bastard..."
Comforting Ace in her final minutes is probably the best moment for Batman, but there's more to it than that. I believe pain they bear of having their childhood taken away from them was something Bruce could relate to with her. They both carry the burden of such hardships so that no one else has to.
Batman is a pretty amazing dude. He's got a ton of endurance, determination, and imagination that not a lot of heroes have without a dedicated series. Now all we need is a bad ass moment for Superman and Flash to avoid bias because I'm pretty sure 90% of a lotta videos on DC by now is about Batman or him being better than everyone else
Two for Superman, both of them involve him fighting Darkseid - 1. The last episode of JLU called The Destroyer 2. Batman/Superman Apocalypse where they go to Apocalypse to rescue Lara, his cousin Flash When takes on Lex/Brainiac all by himself and almost dies in the process.
@@55Quirll While Batman is my favorite character, I'll confessthat Flash beatingthe living Hell of Luthor is probably my favorite badass moment ofthe entire JLAS series.
I've always liked the ace and batman scene as Bruce sees ace as a child whose been exposed to trauma after trauma and been turned into a weapon, I think he could relate to her which is why he never had any intention to kill her but instead be there for her as she passes, to show her some kindness after a traumatic experience just like jim did for Bruce when he wrapped his coat around bruce
Say what you will about all the live action Batman, but Conroy was magnificent. Althoug, I give props to Jeremy Sisto as Batman in Justice League: The New Frontier.
In classic Batman style, he does not introduce himself to his opponent until he's gathered enough intel, also note in the Justice League series, he doesn't enter combat immediately, he inspects first attacks second.
My favorite Batman moment by far both in the DCAU and in general is and probably always will be his interaction with Ace. If your version of Batman is incapable of comforting a child who is about to die and knows it, that's not Batman. That's the Punisher wearing a bat costume (or it's a version of Batman from an alternate universe that is intentionally evil). It doesn't matter that Ace is capable of warping the fabric of reality or whatever. She's still just a scared child fully aware of the fact that her inescapable death is imminent, and that's how Batman treats her. Not as a monster or a dangerous being, but as a human being in desperate need of a comforting hand to hold.
9:33 Ace also remarked that she got "cheated out of her childhood," and as we all know, Batman can definitely relate to that, having become an orphan after his parents were murdered.
My favorite is the interrogation scene that you listed in the video. "I can, and you will" always gives me chills when I hear it, even if I can't understand the language. One that I would have added is the opening scene from Fury, when Batman single-handedly takes out Shade, Solomon Grundy, Star Sapphire and Tsukuri without breaking a sweat. The only thing that stops him taking out Aresia was he didn't know who she was and, therefore, didn't know what she was capable of (well, that and the episode would have been over really quickly if he had).
I liked the Flash Appreciation Day episode, where Batman supports Wally on his big day. After accepting his invitation to be there - Orion, the son of Darkseid - thinks Batman is foolish and says he wouldn't go for anything. Cue Bat-Stare, and Orion immediately crumbles and asks if he should wear a tux.
In terms of being able to avoid Darkseid's Omega Beam, I'm thinking that Batman was able to do that by waiting for the last possible moment when the beams were close enough, then quickly moving out of the way.
Its simple; Darksied did not see him as a threat and wanted to play with him, they are an extension of his will, and so if Darksied could have been left unfettered to do as he wished Darksied would have tortured Batman by making them faster and faster until Batman's demise one way or another. Darksied could put just Enough power in the beam to hurt Batman but not kill and then do it again and again and again, Darksied would give batman hope then snatch it away, Torture and kill people in front of batman and then when he is a shell of a being use him for anything Darksied choose, as Darksied has plans for all beings he sees as useful ,until they are not useful Darksied is Evil incarnate - - - and Darksied never loses; his victory was stolen, He will plan again and Attack again, and plan and Attack again, and plan and Attack again, and plan and Attack again, and plan and Attack again , Darksied is endless (and very psychotic and delusional and Immortal) Darksied is inevitable
"My mind is not a nice place to be." Batman says it like he means it, and leave us face it, he means it. He's a guy who trains every aspect of his body, including his mind, so naturally if someone telepathic tries to scramble his brain or just read what he's thinking, he's well prepared. Perhaps he's too well prepared as this aspect may be the reason for his many instances of trust difficulties.

Batman and Ace scene was the greatest out there It showed the duality of Batman. He will go after criminals with a passion yet also shows Ultimate compassion at the same time
Batman was so cool and loved by the writers they have to purposefully keep themselves from making every episode have batman. Coarse the best batman is season 2 of unlimited as he kept both sides from completely destorying each other but wasn't blind to knowing the league was extremely scary to mortals as well ws topping it off with ace's death showing amanda waller how batman operates
Honorable mention: in the JLA’s first encounter with Amanda Waller, she is trying to recover all of the Ultimen but Long Shadow refuses to go. When Waller’s entire force draws their guns, Superman and Aquaman immediately stand in front of Long Shadow. Batman smirks, “Mine are bigger.” Granted, Waller would get an equally badass moment right after that when she referred to Batman as “Rich Boy”, but still warrants a mention.
One of the best Batman moments didn't have Batman in it. The Batman animated series had a crossover pair of episodes with the Superman animated series called "World's Finest". The villians, Joker and Luthor are to swap opponents. Luthor says " You, against Superman? You can't even beat Batman, and he's a mere mortal!". You missed Batman scaring Darkseid by telling Darkseid the access codes that would cause Darkseid's planet to explode - and Darkseid realizing that Batman would use them. Guaranteed.
While that was definitely a badass moment for Batman, this list is limited to just the series Justice League or Justice League Unlimited. That scene was in the movie "Superman/Batman: Apocalypse."
DCAU Batman dodges a pair of omega beams. DCAU Darkseid: “Impressive. No one has ever dodged my omega beams.” DCAU Superman: “I literally dodged them before you died on Brainiac’s ship.” [Justice League Season 2, Episode 2] DCAU Darkseid: “Nobody cares.”
All great moments, though my two favourites are his respect and kindness for Ace and when he sings in order for Circe to release Diana from the spell. Batman is not a creature of the darkness. He dwells in the darkness in order to bring light to everyone else. If only the DC movies had any sort of understanding of who Batman really is. All they need do is watch the Batman and the two Justice League animated series'. I would add in the Phantasm and Mr Freeze movies, as well as the one with Superman where Joker and Luthor first team up. As innocently goofy as it is, the only live action movie to come close to the real Batman is the movie from the Summer of 1966. At least he was a hero. The others have just been angry and forgetful that he is supposed to be the world's greatest detective. His true strength is his intellect.
Out of these moments, my personal favorite has to be the scene where Batman casually reveals the identities of Flash and Superman in addition to his own.
He forgot the last badass fact about Batman. The FACT that he has more sexual conquests than the Beatles, Gene Simmons, Elvis Presley and the entire DCU combined, hell he not only banged Catwoman and Talia algul(sexiness incarnate) but also Wonder woman, and Lois Lane and Harley Quinn the trifecta of DCU leading ladies
Batman: "Who are you working for?" Thug *speaking foreign language*: "You can't understand a word I'm saying and I wouldn't tell you anything if you could!" Batman: *starts speaking same foreign language*: "I can...and you will." Thug: 😳💩
Ace. It's always going to be Ace. Of all the things he did, it was the most Batman thing he ever could do. To those who get it, I need say no more. To those who don't, I couldn't explain it if I wrote a book trying.
Batman takes Deadshot out of hearing distance, except for Superman, to interrogate him. Batman then comes back with the information. Wonder Woman: What did he say? Superman: You don't want to know.
I liked the part where he sat with Ace till she died, that showed how much humanity he had. I wonder if this is where he got the idea to name his dog Ace later on. A good video and Batman is my favorite character - next to Alfred - who uses what he was born with.
Batman is such a great character! He bails the entire league out of plenty of tough situations, but due to his lack of raw brute strength, there are plenty of times that the powerhouses like Superman have to save him too. He’s the ultimate team player.
Favorite part about the first scene you brought up is that Superman doesn’t even care that Batman told everyone his secret identity. Just shows how big of homies they are.
One of my favorites was always the scene where an entire team of super villains (grundy, copperhead, star sapphire, akoye, the shade, and a rogue amazonian) are robbing a bank, and he single handedly beats them all aside from the amazonian at the end.
On that last episode with Dr. Destiny, another awesome moment he had was when he punched through the windshield of the Batmobile. Sure a trashcan had hit it earlier and damaged it, but this is the Batmobile. A car that can take ballistic fire and still stay in one piece. And he punched through it.
His deorbiting the Watchtower in JL and his capturing the Kryptonite Missile in JLU are with out a doubt the "don't F with Batman" scenes. With Supes asks where he is he just calmly says "On the Watchtower, guiding it to target". There's not another member of the League with ones that big. As for the JLU moment, his calling Waller on a line that is supposed to be direct to the President just to say "if anyone dies I'll be coming for you" is just chilling. He's been shown saying "all that matters is the mission" on several occasions in various mediums, but these scenes show just what that means.
the real reason they send him in to stop Ace isnt because they fear the changes will be permanent, its because they are afraid of the backlash of everyone reverting back at the same time causing a psychic backlash that will level the entire city, killing its inhabitants. kinda like dropping a nuke on it. so they want him to convince her to change it back or use the device to stop her, probably not to kill her immediately, but it probably drains her slowly allowing things to revert in a much slower manner to avoid the snapback.
Farashaka is the song batman is humming in Dr Destiny. Which is translates to "are you sleeping". That is some really good meta humor from batman! Or maybe it's just more of his brand of snark.
In the 3 part Pilot episode of Justice League, When all of the other heroes are punching their way through the aliens Batman pauses and observes, he uses his detective skills instinctively in determining the aliens weaknesses and although we don't hear him communicate to Jonz, he states out loud that the aliens aliens are and I'm paraphrasing, reading their minds to dodge attacks and he also notes the aversion to UV rays, Which is why the Martian was able to shield him and create the false projection of Batman dying to the League and Aliens.
The episode with Ace from Terry from Batman Beyond in Justice League: Unlimited where Amanda Waller tells Terry about that moment is and probably always will be one of if not the most poignant moment for me involving Bats. I tear up every time because of the depth in that scene, and yet it's so very basic compared to the absolute shenanigans going on between the rest of the Royal Flush gang and the league earlier that "day"/"week" in the show. (Can't recall the time passage between the events of the two-parter from JL involving the RF gang vs. the events shown in JL: Unlimited with Terry)

That scene with Ace makes me tear up every time I see it. Poor kid,
Batman spending aces last few minutes with her is his best scene in the dcau.
Batman: "Who are you working for?"
Thug *speaking foreign language*: "You can't understand a word I'm saying and I wouldn't tell you anything if you could!"
Batman: *starts speaking same foreign language*: "I can...and you will."
Thug: 😳💩
It's a bit humorous how the Justice League wasn't aware of Batman's secret identity, but according to MultiVersus voice lines, Shaggy is.
Ace. It's always going to be Ace. Of all the things he did, it was the most Batman thing he ever could do. To those who get it, I need say no more. To those who don't, I couldn't explain it if I wrote a book trying.
So Batman rode the missile first! This is before Iron Man did roughly the same thing in The Avengers!
Rest In Peace Dark Knight of Gotham
Rest in peace Mr Kevin Conroy. You are missed and loved.
There's that time he interrogated Deadshot
*Deadshot
Batman takes Deadshot out of hearing distance, except for Superman, to interrogate him. Batman then comes back with the information.
Wonder Woman: What did he say?
Superman: You don't want to know.
🖤 you 🦇#BATMAN 1 Septillion times & ❤🤍💙 all your videos mate👍
Ace.
I've watched that scene a bunch of times over the years, and it still hits hard, every time.
Just what I needed today ❤❤❤❤
Kevin Conroy's Batman was a legend
Great video! As a kid, I was always more of a Batman fan than Superman for the very reasons you listed!
I think the one where he sits with Ace as she dies will always be my favorite moment.
I liked the part where he sat with Ace till she died, that showed how much humanity he had. I wonder if this is where he got the idea to name his dog Ace later on. A good video and Batman is my favorite character - next to Alfred - who uses what he was born with.
Rip the voice of the dark nights
Batman is such a great character! He bails the entire league out of plenty of tough situations, but due to his lack of raw brute strength, there are plenty of times that the powerhouses like Superman have to save him too. He’s the ultimate team player.
Favorite part about the first scene you brought up is that Superman doesn’t even care that Batman told everyone his secret identity. Just shows how big of homies they are.
Rest in peace Kevin Conroy our Batman forever
One of my favorites was always the scene where an entire team of super villains (grundy, copperhead, star sapphire, akoye, the shade, and a rogue amazonian) are robbing a bank, and he single handedly beats them all aside from the amazonian at the end.
i love the moment batman has with ace it's sad too whenever I see that scene it always makes me cry watching it
It helps with Dr. Destiny when Batman spends most of his nights away anyway
Batman's constant one-upsmanship with Amanda Waller. "Mine are bigger" Classic Batman.
I love this channel I hope he uploads something again soon.
when he threatened Amanda Waller
Rizzin up Wonder Woman gotta be one of the most bad ass things a human could ever do
You know what’s funny, I’ve just started rewatching this over again
Batman asking for coffee cracked me up for some reason I guess it’s because I wouldn’t expect it
Animated series/JLA Batman will always be my Batman simply because of all his steadfast dedication to protecting others in his own way
the real reason they send him in to stop Ace isnt because they fear the changes will be permanent, its because they are afraid of the backlash of everyone reverting back at the same time causing a psychic backlash that will level the entire city, killing its inhabitants. kinda like dropping a nuke on it. so they want him to convince her to change it back or use the device to stop her, probably not to kill her immediately, but it probably drains her slowly allowing things to revert in a much slower manner to avoid the snapback.
Farashaka is the song batman is humming in Dr Destiny.
Which is translates to "are you sleeping".
That is some really good meta humor from batman! Or maybe it's just more of his brand of snark.
To the barista Batman: MAKE IT A TRIPLE slams cash down on the counter! Probobly his funniest moment, also MOOD.
I really hope the woke writers of the new DC crap don't destroy batman. He is by far the best super hero. He's like a better Ironman.
R.I.P Kevin Conroy / The Batman!
Lovely video
(Can't recall the time passage between the events of the two-parter from JL involving the RF gang vs. the events shown in JL: Unlimited with Terry)
i like to think Batman anticipated the beams movements. hence being able to dodge them
That Ace scene will never not break my heart ❤😢
