Trying to appreciate more things around us, become more grateful towards the nature and everything that she/ we are given for. How is that not even completely herself ? Role model of someone is usually the better version of someone that they always wanted to be. And her New Years resolution is to be more like ruby doesn’t just mean to become a better her ? Don’t criticise someone if you don’t think deep . It’s always better to spread kindness and love like Ruby rather than judging others ;)
Exactly!! I feel like social media make us more materialistic and we can’t enjoy life because we don’t have some things that we can’t afford.. but ruby is definitely an example to follow! she grow up so much since i started to follow her at her debuts on youtube😍

It’s so nice to see you showing different things than other what I got for Christmas videos. I am not saying that typically “basic” gifts are boring or anything, but what I am saying is that it is really nice to see presents that are unique as it is much more interesting to watch!

that's so funny haha! Makes it an all around surprise, I suppose! It does end up being that way with the gifts the other parent got for us (i.e. my dad doesn't really know what my mum got us unless it's a particular good find!) xx

This is hilarious! My mum and my dad go shopping together and so they both know what we got. It was so funny, last year my grandma didn’t know what she got us and so afterwards I heard her ask my mom, “what did I get the children?” It was just so funny! Merry Christmas!🎁

My aunts boyfriend is from England. He sadly passed away in October, but we still do poppers (not sure if that is what they are called). We wore the paper hats and all. It was a fun thing to do to remember him.

Really appreciated the message at the beginning, Ruby. As someone who didn’t get to spend Christmas with their family this year, I felt very sad that people kept saying ‘you’ll see them soon, it’s no big deal.’ All day, something felt missing. Lovely words, thank you 💕

I'm lucky, Christmas for me was the same as always. We never have big dinners or gatherings, so it's like I've been living in pandemic my whole life. :P
I'm just thankful my whole family is healthy.
I totally agree that despite the difficulties this year, it is truly amazing to just appreciate the family, loved ones and the ability to be simply with them.
Travelling is difficult and restricted, and so many families (including myself) were separated. However, no matter what, let's be grateful for all - no matter where we are and who we are with. Merry Christmas all!

Hey Ruby!! The embroidery scissors are actually from the show “Over the Garden Wall”!! It’s so autumnal and lovely (and short!). I think you’d really love it.
Pretty sure those scissors have been around for many years, my mum has a golden one that she's had since forever. I hope Ruby enjoys them though!
@@MssAmyAlmighty Exactly, the scissors are not originally from the show but rather the show featured these classic embroidery scissors. That being said, “Over the Garden Wall” is an amazing animation and everyone should watch it 😊👌
I have had those scissors for about 18 years. Plus others. So cute!!!
Stork scissors are from the scissors used to cut the umbilical cords of newborns.

I’ve watched a few of these “what I got for Christmas” videos, yours is the only one where you’ve actually said you’re grateful for get to of spent it with your immediate family. You’re lovely.
I didn't get any Christmas present this year, but I've never had so much fun as I had these Christmas days, I'm SO GLAD I could spend the Christmas day doing things that I love, and with people I love, with my family, and everyone was safe em healthy. I felt so lucky, even with this pandemic time's. I felt the Christmas spirit more than the other years.
You are so lucky that your parents know you so well. I have more or less a good relationship with mine, but I feel a big disconnection with them: they dont know my current tastes or interests(neither do they have intention of knowing it) and when they have to think of a present for me, they have no idea what to give me. It may seem silly but it kinda hurts me.
You seem to have a very close and nice relationshio with them, so please cherish that :)
I totally get you, I'm in a similar situation. It hurts and sometimes feels like they don't know me as a person at all. This christmas I got a chocolate bar with hazelnuts in it from my dad. I've been allergic to nuts my whole life.
I can relate to you so much. I dont get suprised with gifts anymore because my parents dont know me well enough. Every Christmas I usually just order things that I like and this year I even wrapped my own gifts. I do feel very grateful for even getting things and being able to order stuff online but I miss the feeling of suprise on Christmas morning when you open your presents.
It doesn’t seem silly at all, it’s understandable. I do hope you can come upon a easy line of communication to be able to explain this.
Same. My mom gives me gifts (my dad doesn’t) on holidays but i have to ‘get them myself’. It indeed makes you feel like they don’t know you / don’t want to put effort in it. It’s a bit hurtful. I don’t want to sound stupid bc i got a gift but it’s indeed the feeling like they don’t know you or even want to lolll

It's so crazy to me how there's some people out there who genuinely enjoy spending time with their families. Like my immediate response was "she's totally faking it" even though I *know* she's not, she really does love her family and spending time with them. It's a beautiful thing to see. I hope I'll experience that in some other life. :)
I always wanted one of these videos of Ruby. She has just so positive energy! She just inspires me so much! Like two years ago, i still didn't know Ruby. I was always so unproductive, i was spending time on tehnology, it was verry bad! But then i found Ruby. Well now this is another story. Ruby - I went to Great Ormand Street Hospital all throughout my life up until I was 18 when I had to move to an adult hospital in London... (Although, I was kept until I was 21...) GOSH Was practically my second home.
Seeing you donating to this Hospital is the most amazing thing, so, thank-you, because, they are a fantastic Hospital who saved my life. 🖤

What a sweet vid. Tbh I think that a part of Christmas is in a way presents. Because they can symbolise the love you have for others. Gifts don’t need to be expensive! Or big! I love to hand make my gifts or spend time choosing things I know people will love to receive.
