I wasn’t feeling super well today, so I binge watched your old videos and they immediately made me feel happier. I’ve recently found your channel, but I just want to tell you how motivating and calming your videos are! And your whole personality is so nice. My favourites are always the university vlogs, but I also love videos about food, because I am vegetarian (mostly vegan), so they’re always useful!
I’ve been watching quite a few videos of yours and I have come to the conclusion that your parents have done so well in raising you. You are beautiful, well mannered, strong minded and intelligent. You are a great credit to your parents x
Not to demean anybody’s personal opinions but Ruby’s food choices appear generally very nutritionally dense (hummus full of good fat from sesame and olive oil, avocado, olives etc) and she looks quite short in height. In other words you could eat a whopping meal lacking in nutrition and still feel hungry later. Quality is just as important as quantity
quite a few people commenting about eating disorders and calling this video triggering because she said she wasn't that hungry on these days. I would suggest if you do have or have had an eating disorder, that you probably shouldn't watch a video titled What I eat in a day if yo then find somebody eating less than you expected triggering.
People are commenting because they are long time fans who are concerned with her well-being. Her portion size and rationalizations have become noticable the more she does these type of vids. She also has some ED books in her Goodreads.
@@jwho4273 You can read books about eating disorders without having an eating disorder, and she has said herself in another comment here that she highlights smaller-than-usual portion sizes precisely because she doesn't want to invite comparison. If you are concerned, the best way to express that concern is to reach out privately rather than turning her health into a public spectacle.
@@ramywiles that's true you can read books on ED w/o having one but it does show an interest in ED. Which doesn't necessarily mean anything. She's a public figure and she does influence a lot of people's choices, health and otherwise. This will get criticized regardless and that is just a nature of the trade. I think those in the comments are responding respectfully with enough people in agreement so it is noticed. I think public comments are the right avenue w/o bombarding her DMs, it also gives her a way of publicly addressing a common comment.
@@jwho4273 I mean, by that metric, anyone who reads a book about serial killers shows an interest in serial murder, and people would be justified in "respectfully" asking whether that person has killed anyone lately. Like, people can word things as politely as they want, but they're ultimately connecting their own dots and trying to corner Ruby into defending herself against allegations they've made up. That's deeply unfair to her -- and it's not something she has coming by virtue of making the content she makes.
@@ramywiles I mean....they do show an interest in crime so yes you're not wrong but it doesn't mean they'll commit crime. It's about discipline. You're allowed to have your own opinions on that matter and I admire you for respecting her privacy. If you see someone you deem a close friend (or a well-known RUclipsr) show signs of a problem, do you ask if they're ok or do you waive it off? To be fair it could be nothing and she may have a smaller appetite now...but what if was something and it will help her.
I understand where people are coming from about how they are worried about Ruby’s small portion sizes, but im curious to know how much food people eat on a daily basis. My portion sizes are pretty similar to her portion sizes and Im full, content. However when I see these kinds of comment about how “youre not eating enough”, i just get worried and tend to start to eat more than i normally can take in to the point where i am super full so that i can meet the expectations of people! I’ve never felt this way about food before and i just want to point out that although i understand you guys are worried and caring, but these comments about “not eating enough” “I eat way more than you” etc can/and may also cause harm to some people :)
Her portions look completely fine, and if they don't to you, that's okay too! some people naturally eat less and some eat more. It's all okay as long as you are listening to your body. Please do not compare portion sizes to anyone. Ever. Ruby's meals are also very nutritionally dense, she's getting everything she needs in a day! So don't worry, she's said she's fine many times as well :)
I'm really sorry you get so many comments insisting you have an eating disorder... I just hope it doesn't get to you. For what it's worth, I always admire how conscious you are of eating a variety of nutritious foods. Variation is something I've struggled with throughout my life, and I'm only really beginning to navigate it now that I have a husband-to-be who loves to cook.
AHHHH! I love green smoothies su much! I make mine with frozen bananas, a green apple, spinach, celery, a lemon and water. It's such a refreshing meal to start the day.
Some of ya'll are actually calling her eating disordered. Her eating is fine. It's OKAY to not be hungry sometimes and to eat less because of that. You don't have to force yourself to eat what you'd normally eat if you're not as hungry. She ate plenty on both days; if you actually write out what she ate you can see that it's a good amount of food and fine for a sedentary woman.
THANK YOU I have a friend who doesn’t eat much and is also vegan and a lot of people think she has an eating disorder but ever since I’ve known her she just stops eating when she’s hungry, and that’s completely okay. Some people need to realise how sometimes people just aren’t hungry

You can make hummus at home
hi! i'd like to give a few video ideas! (these are just things i'd personally like to see, it would be great if you could take them into consideration!) there has been a trend on youtube to talk about finances and managing money, and i think this would be very educational and beneficial for a lot of your viewers! i personally would like to know tips on how you save money, what you think is worth investing in, what kind of benefits being a monetized youtuber brings, and an update on your cottage? (i believe it was a cottage, please correct me if I'm wrong) another idea would be a 'books i did not like' video. i do understand that you like to focus on positivity on this channel but i just think it would be very interesting to see, especially since you are a bookworm. please do not feel the need to make these videos, these are just things i personally want to see from you!!
