As much as I will miss David Ragsdale, I don't think they could have picked a more perfect replacement for him than Joe Deninzon. This is fantastic!

I agree and dare I say Joe may be an upgrade if he stays around and records any new music with them (songwriting/vocals). I have to say Joe looks a little stiff right now. Hopefully he will get in his groove and really show what he can do. Can't wait to see them in September! Cheers 👍🍻

Phil playing as good as ever! Kudos to him and Rich, for their endurance after all these years. And much respect to the rest of the band for playing up to par with what is expected from Kansas, all great players.

One of my favorite songs by them. I love the intro and that incredible transition, like a door opening leading into the opening verses. Very well composed.

I've heard 2 other violinists play a Viper, and their tone was harsh and overpowering. I was very curious how this would compare to the amplified acoustic violins used by Robby and Rags. All I can say is WOW!! What a difference in the hands of the master! Exquisite tone and perfect complement to the Kansas music that I have loved ever since I saw them open for Queen in the 70s. Astounded that Joe came on board with 2 weeks to prepare! Consummate musician and stunning performances by Joe, Tom and everyone on stage. Loved every second.

Hadn't he already prepared as Ragsdale's understudy? He said something in an interview about how Kansas now have understudies for all six of them, so they'll never need to cancel.

A local, thanks for recording this, a truly amazing Rock song. Should get more air play. Probably banned by the 9/11 Do Not Play music Nazi iconoclasts that wrecked, the broadcasting of much Rock’n’ Roll. Request this , everywhere.

This song was recorded in the studio and it’s simply it’s not possible to do it justice by playing it live. I did see KANSAS many times as a young man in the mid-70s and they did have an energy that made up for the difficulty playing a lot of their music live. I don’t recognize that energy in the current lineup, but I am happy that they are giving it a great effort and in effect keeping the music alive.

You do have to make some allowances when evaluating the "onstage energy" of a band like Kansas back then the youth of the musicians and to some extent Steve Walsh's predilection at the time for heavy duty athletics like soccer and heavy duty stimulants like cocaine. 😐
