    I did notice the wiring loom was very very tight when clipped back in. I had to find some slack in the wiring loom and pull some out. Got a little bit but not very much otherwise that will be a problem eventually.

    Thanks for the videos and your time. Really appreciate it! It might be good added content for the videos like this to let the viewers hear the difference with a before and after...get a better understanding of why they may want to do this mod.       Thank you for your suggestions, in the future i do plan on reviewing all of my mods. I haven’t driven the car yet sense making this video though

      tbf there isnt a great deal of difference in sound, with a decent short intake the stock recirc is actually a little louder. The GFB operates so quickly what you can hear is a lot shorter and sharper. Noticeable difference between shifts on our mini specially as the stock valve was on its way out.

      there are other options for more noise as well, versions that dump some to atmosphere or the turbosmart one that has the loom to prevent the EML. The ESP is tied into the recirc solenoid so full atmospheric dump does upset the ecu.

    My n14 engine has regular socket bolts, not the Allen bolts. How do I remove them?

    What's the difference between a forge bov & the gfb dv+ ? Is it 1 circulates while the other releases it to the atmosphere.

      I just like to think, the one that diverts it goes sututututu
      and the one that vents to atmosphere goes woosh or fshhhh
      But some people modify the ones that vent to atmosphere so they make the sututututu sound, which can damage your turbo a bit.

    Did u gain any performance by changing the diverter valve with gfb dv+ and does it make sound when lift off the throttle?

      I’ve only divert a few miles since install and didn’t hear anything. It stays in boost longer when you let off the gas in a corner so you’ll be in boost sooner when your back on the gas

      Project Mini i think my diverter failed because of high temp. (I lose boost on higher rpm 5+) because my turbo waterpump was broken and sadly im waiting for this part to ship, i hope that this will solve the problem.. :/

    Thanks for the video. I installed the same on my N14 R 56 and it doesn't seem to have any difference compared to the way you installed it. However, I got a 28AA code right after. Everytime I turn the engine code off, it will appears after a couple of minutes. However, there is no engine code if I put the OEM one back in. Do you know why?

      Do you have the original solenoid for the diverter valve or an upgraded one? There has been issues with the upgraded diverter valve solenoid and the DV+ together

      I have the same code 28AA. Have stock solenoid. 2009 JCW. Any ideas how to fix it? Maybe use stock spring?

      I removed mine straight away, as it put my car into limp mode. I hear you’re better off staying stock anyway. If you DV is damaged, just replace with stock 🤷🏼‍♂️

      I know this was a few years ago now but for anyone else getting this code it means 'Bypass Blow off valve plausible' meaning that the value seen by the ecu is outside the design parameters.
      Im wondering if maybe more lube on the piston might help for starters. Clean the electrical connectors or even try re-seating the new valve to the unit. Did it click in properly? Just a few things to try. Hopefully the new valve isnt faulty. I bought one for my R58 2012 N14, wondering if I should hold off for a bit as it only has 60K kms, bit too soon to change a part that could easily do another 50-100K kms but good to know what to look out for if it pops an error.

    Hi, I have a problem with my Mini Cooper s r56 not start.
    The mini was on taking it out of the garage when it suddenly turned off. The first Scanner have these codes:
    2781
    2775
    2D52
    *2DCA*
    275F
    272F
    I changed 4 spark plugs, 4 coils, the Camshaft Position Sensor and a new battery. But it did not turn on, now it is giving these codes:
    005E31
    009314
    *00A0B4*
    00932D
    009CB5
    I deleted them and it only gives me this code: ( A0B4 )
    The mini starter good but not start.
    I try the new battery and it says it's ok, but when I test the battery with the terminals mounted on the Mini Cooper it says it's bad I don’t now why. I also reset the new battery in the mini system with the scanner but nothing.
