Great video, however, I would of never mounted the solenoid down low, especially next to the oil filter housing!... would of stuck it up tip where you can keep an eye on it...
Thanks for your feedback! Once the diaphragm part is removed, those factory solenoids are incredibly reliable so there should not be any need to keep an eye on it
Hi, I am planning to purchase this product. Could you please provide a list of tools I need to prepare when installing this product on my N18 engine myself ?
Hi, for this installation you would need basic tools such as a 6mm hex key, flat head screwdriver and adjustable spanner. Please contact our support team at support@gfb.com.au for more information.
Hey so your video says this item is for automatic transmissions but your site says it will fit both. Is there a sugusted mounting poit for manual transmissions?
Hi Carl, thanks for contacting us. We've now adapted the T9353 DV+ so that it is now compatible with both manual and automatic applications. I'd highly recommend having a pre-read of our instructions to help aid with this installation.
Hello I know this video is a bit old but I had just recently purchased a 2012 mini Cooper s and it is manual now outside of the mounting issue this system could work on a manual transmission model you would just have to mount the second portion somewhere else?? Or would this cause issues with the turbo and possibly my engine if I purchased this systel
This part can be used on both the manual and automatic N18 Mini. Earlier versions would only fit the Automatic but it has been revised quite some time ago to suit both applications
Hi, The T9353 is for the N18 engine, the T9352 is for the N14 engine. The T9352 will not fit on the N18 due to engine bay constraints which is why we have 2 part numbers,
Don't need to go crazy on the torque for these screws, as they thread into aluminium, and the ones that hold the solenoid can crack the plastic if you go overboard. I'd suggest 6-8Nm is sufficient
Just finished installing this and I have absolutely zero boost now. Nothing. Made sure the ports matched up and everything was installed the same as this video. Cleared engine codes just to check if that needed done and nothing. Im all motor right now
It turned out to be operator error. I also had to fix a coolant leak and once I got the system burped the spoolie boi was happy again. Wanted to come back here to clarify it was my error, nothing wrong with gfb product.
i had bough gbf type 9353 and installed successful accordingly same as in youtube, but suddenly it does not work at all, tje sound is not there, also reinstalled twice time, same result no change!!!!!! what wrong? can anyone help me, for information is that i had engine no modify also air intake system is also standard, may this the root problem?
do you recommend touching the moving parts with a tiny amount of motor oil during assembly to prevent galling of the aluminum parts?
This is a great video
We appreciate the feedback, thank you.
Only issue I have with this is it made my oil changes a PITA. Getting the oil filter housing on and off. Need a better place to mount it.
Great video thanks for sharing

Why is this revision needed for the N18. A bov spacer is the same thickness and I can fit one just fine on my N18.
Does it make it more difficult to change the oil? as is not many people will work on my car
We have not had any reports of issues with changing the oil with the valve installed.
Hi Buddy when you install this did the engine light come on afterwards
We did not experience any CEL. If you are having any issues please contact our engineers at support@gfb.com.au
Will this get in a way when you want to change the oil filter?

You can find a list of dealers on our website

Looks like it might end up interfering with getting the oil filter out :\.
Thinking the same thing. That means I have to take it out every time I do an oil change. :(
It does not. What are y’all on about lol you can mount it wherever you want.
Oh and btw I have this and installed it no issues with oil filter
@@jeremyg117 WOW, dude i've been through 4 cars since i posted that comment LOL!!!!!
Someone can tell me the difference between T9352 and T9353? Is T9353 for auto and T9352 for manual recommended? Thanks
