I actually did this on my own...it is a lot of fun.
“Treat the New Testament as a divinely inspired commentary on the Old Testament.” Such a helpful way of looking at it.
very very encouraging!
Good study idea
When doing this highlighting exercise, do you only highlight the verses that are direct "quotes" or ALL verses that are listed as references in the New from the Old Testament?
Cool! This is great idea!
Wish I would have received this instruction as a new believer, seems to be very profitable
Awesome!
That last part was beautiful!
Those geneologies may be really helpful for a Jew coming to Christ.
And descendents of Jacob, who don't know they're descendents of Jacob. The lost 10 tribes.
Old concealed, New Revealed.
There is a time and place for the boring sections, some people just aren't ready for certain parts and God hasn't drawn them through each of those matters, in that, the material can be read differently and in each, a piece of truth. An analogy, it's like reading a soda can. On the one hand you can read the label and look at what it is trying to convey to it's audience, it's style, etc., or you can look at the ingredients. For instance, the genealogies, you can read that thinking of the historical element, the characters of each, or what it is leading to. It is a hard endeavor. To those reading it- Persist. You can do it.
So, according to your thoughts, God may not have drawn some to the gospels, but to the minor prophets. According to your logic, they shouldn’t be bothered or do something they’re not “drawn” to do as in study the gospels. That is nonsense.
Nice, however without Exodus, there is incomplete knowledge concerning the advent of the ten commandments. They DIDN'T come through Moses, nor from Moses.
The bible has to be one of the world's most boring books. A truly rotten read.
why is is boring?
I guess that's why it's the all-time best seller.
Thank you for demonstrating your distain as an unbeliever that does not have faith.
Shut up immoral pagan
