    Very impressive and quick especially using 5lb lead! Never attempted rolls with anything under 6lb myself, really skillful on your part, nice one.

    tidy job there.
    I have 3 mallets 1 flat 1 with a setting blade vertices and 1 with a setting blade horizontal. I just cut the mallets down. they come in very handy.

    Paul, hello mate, I use propane gas with a felting gun to heat up the lead, using code 7 I would advise using gas as it makes the material a lot easy to work with, but remember not to use to much heat as you will melt the lead if you apply too much heat, i usually spit on the lead and if it instantly bubbles and shoots off it's just right. Gross I know but better than a melted bay!

      ELLIOTNEWPIP tbf it’s not the best pleasing to the eye, have you tried a pair of clamps on the corner pulling the lead as bossing it will stop the creasing off the lead, but saying that it’s completely watertight and done accordingly.

    Cheers, you would surprised what a bit of heat can do! We do loads of flat roofs, so you get used to them. I use heat all the time, working with code7,8 and sandcast you need it, it makes the really nice to work with

    Shout me down but I am intending to lead my lean to garage roof with lead, and I haven't used lead before. I am relying on videos and google threads so this was very useful. Can I use Code 5 for the roof itself? Although ideally it would in your book require higher number(7), what is the downside of using code 5?

    Hello mate, what do you use to heat the lead up before you start work on it?
    I'm doing a job up london where i'm having to use part of the original lead (code7) to form a new up-stand before new work goes over it.
    Thanks

      Galvanised steel or stainless, you can get them made from most steel fabricators, remember to take cut out the centre where the roll goes, about 3inches back

    What you on about? Your obviously looking at the the wrong website, type in leadwork specialist London in Google,we come up top, have a look in the gallery. The front of roll is dressed for a nicer finish, not set in infront of the roll. How you can determine im rough as fuck by this video shows your full of it. Have a look at website and stop trolling my feed.

    I can assure you bud, I used just enough heat,

  • @joshspence9141
    @joshspence9141 10 лет назад

    Personally not enough heat took it round the roll far to quick and wasn't tight enough hence the reason having to dress the face of the roll end which is a certain no no lol! Code 5 sheets aswell wouldn't like to see the corners on the sheet if it has them will be waver thin if not burst and welded lol
