Love watching you manipulate the lead and make stuff but a question, if there was a gap at the end of the stick thing on the roof you wouldn't then need to cut the back out on the upstand....no? Just a thought
Simple. It's has to go over the lead that is already on the roll. The overcloke must cover the undercloke. So you can lay the undercloke without cutting the back out, but not the overcloke
@@roofingshiteroofing1189 of course it does, Didn't think of that, 👍 But you could do it with the under cloak so you only need to cut 1 side out. Would that not work.
One of the most useful videos on lead ,well done sir
I've never tried leadburning without a solid backboard. Very impressive!
Do a lead roll end video please, on how to do them/boss them ? 🙏
Nice that you put a piece over the roll, will be using that next time 👍🏻👍🏻

Neat job.
How big do you make the overlap
Why not just set you wood roll back 5mm then you won't have to cut the back of the roll out.

Do you change for code 4 or vertical welds ever?
I was always told I had to scrape the lead before I weld I see you don’t for your welding looks like I’ve been wasting my time doing that on new lead
I only do it when the lead is not shiny. As soon as the lead has oxidation then remove it.
Did you ever get round to looking at my vid called the worst roof in the world.
It's quite good if you like looking at shite work for a chuckle.
What code?
