    I learned more from this video than months of being a custodian lol. My job didn’t teach me anything despite me telling them that I’m new to the field, yet the higher ups act surprise when they see me doing expert things.

    I think that the description of the video is wrong, you show how to use it but not what can be done with each machine, I thought you would describe their uses and what can be done with each one of them and their difference in detail.

    Awesome video. Would a scrubber be considered a buffer. For instance, can I strip the floor with a Viper AS5160?

    • @ImperialDade
      @ImperialDade  3 года назад +1

      Hi Angel, Thank you for watching our content. The response below is from Dan:
      A Scrubber is not a Buffer. Many people do use a scrubber like the Viper As5160b to take wax off the floor. If using convention stripper that is mopped on the floor (never put stripper in the clean water tank of any scrubber) you can wait 5 to 7 minutes and then use the scrubber with a black or Hi Pro stripping pads to remove the slurry and also rinse the floor. You can also use just water in the scrubber and scrub the floor with a SPP (surface prep pad) pad to wet sand and remove a couple of coats of wax. This can be very effective as most of the ground in dirt is in the top coats.
      We wish you the best!

    Do the buffer comes with a tank?

    • @ImperialDade
      @ImperialDade  4 года назад

      Hi. Thank you for watching our content. A tank is typically an accessory you can purchase for a buffer. You could buy a model with a tank already attached, but mostly any model has a tank accessory that can be added on. Can you use a burnisher on carpet?

    • @MosinMan76254
      @MosinMan76254 2 года назад +1

      No. You use a low speed buffer and bonnets but make sure your carpet is secured well before doing so.

    So, what's the difference?

    • @ImperialDade
      @ImperialDade  6 месяцев назад

      Hi! Thanks for watching our content. As noted in the video, there are several differences. The main differences between a buffer and a burnisher are the speed, motion, and floor maintenance procedures they complete.
      Buffers are low speed, operate in a side-to-side motion, and can be used to strip, clean, buff, or scrub a floor.
      Burnishers are high speed drive straight, and are only used to polish a floor.

      Hi - Thank you for watching our content. Buffers are also know as "Polishers", or Swing Machines, or Side to Side - Not Burnishers.

  • @terrancemccray4846

    Can you use a burnisher on tile and grout?

    • @ImperialDade
      @ImperialDade  4 года назад

      Hi Terrance,
      It depends. If the tiles are Terrazzo or other type of stone which shines then yes, a burnisher will work. If the tiles are ceramic - no you will not get a shine out of them. If you're looking to clean these tiles and not shine them, your best option would be to use a buffer or autoscrubber rather than a burnisher. Please reach out to us if you have any further questions.
