Well, I was literally spinning in circles trying to operate the one we've got at work. Thanks for explaining and demonstrating the error I made, looking forward to trying again soon :)
Glad to help!
Pro tip: disconnect machine while you attach the pad💯
Hellos! Been a janitor for 20 years your video is great but I would like to add one thing. I have learned that if you try to teach people in the middle of the floor it will sometimes more than not take off scaring the new user. I know because it happened to me and I would not touch the machine for that whole summer as we scrubbed floors to wax.I learned when teaching someone, to place machine in a corner so when the machine wants to take off there is no where to go. And they don't get scared. They learn to back it out of the corner with out being afraid.
Brilliant!
I've seen one put a whole in the wall going through it. Was told to try in the center, tried once and so nervous to try again. This video explains it so much better than the person who tried training me lol
Thanks..Great/Simple/Very Helpful!!
Thank you!
Great video. Learn a bit here
Thanks to my military service, I'm pro status on the floor buffer
loll me tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Im looking this up bcuz of 1st sgt 😢
can run it while being shot at?
@Nuul up on the bar for one direction, down on the bar for the other direction. Just don't make sudden adjustments or it will haul ass across the floor
Thanks bro I really appreciate the help. I was having a hard time controlling the machine. I'm glad I found this video. It really helped thanks again bro.
No problem, glad we could help!
This video helped A LOT! Thank you
thanks first one that's actually helps
Thank you! We're happy to do more useful videos if you need anything
@@CleaningequipmentservicesCoUk no problem thanks for actually showing step by step all videos they just use it and not break it down
So if you rent one and it's trying to shake all over and attempting to drag you in the floor the pad is flat on one side ☺
Does it work with a wet floor polish
MAy or may not have lied on an application and said I knew how to use one of these. It was the only thing i didnt have experience with. Hopefully this will make it easier on my first day!
I just did the same thing in my interview just now! I'm a little stressed because I start next week...did you end up learning this without much difficulty? Any tips? I hope you are doing great at your job 🙂
@@a-yojones6632 i did too bro haha said i been a janitor a year and have 0 experience. i got my orientation tomorrow so im binging studying all i can about janitor work.
Same here lol😂
It’s ok to lie because they still have to train you on all of the machines anyway for safety purposes.
Im wondering if the adjusting trigger was broken, is there any alternative way to adjust the polisher?
Unfortunately not
Can I ask, we at work buff, and spray a pink chemical on the floor, to make it shine, I've just been told, I think wrongly, that after u rinse floor with water, to me that's not correct because then surely it will go duller again can u help?
Hi, if you use a surface polish and buff it in with a soft pad there is no need to add any water. A bit like when you polish with a duster at home
@@CleaningequipmentservicesCoUk I knew I was correct thanks
I started the machine to test and practice before my job. Kept hitting the left wall. Just watch 2.30min of this video now I can write my name with the machine without hitting anything. Your video is amazingly simple yet super informative.❤❤❤
That's brilliant! 😀 Glad we could help
@@CleaningequipmentservicesCoUk I was struggling to hold it in place. Amazing. You taught me something that would have taken me weeks to learn by myself. Thanks again.
Thank you. That was very helpful. The machine was beating me up. Lol🙏🏽
Glad we stopped you getting beaten up 😂
What is some kind of polisher
Looking for some advise I am polishing a floor t the minute the same as this video and av give it two coats of polish left it for a couple days then when I am spray buffing with the white pad it’s lifting the polish we’re am I going wrong ? Is the polish not on thick enough
Hi John, a white pad shouldn't lift the polish so I would say there is an issue with the polish. You're probably best to speak to a janitorial supplier as they would specialise in the chemical side of things.
Great video. Good review. Thank you. 😅😂
Glad we could help!
I want to Thank you for making this Video. MY BACK EVEN THANKS YOU EVEN MORE. ❤
Pleased to help! 😄
Hello I’m trying to use the buffer and the scrubber at work they’re both from the brand betco but I just wanted some tips I work at Marshall’s and also how do I make q scrubbing machine stop leaking pls help
Hi Mizrain, where is the scrubber leaking from?
Thank you SO much for this video! I own a boarding kennel and the tile aisles in our buildings have gotten so gross over the past few years. I rented one of these and almost broke my arm and put my back out trying to fight it to go where I wanted. Then I watch your video and felt like an idiot lol. Thank God I found this! I was doing the equivalent of renting a dolly, strapping a fridge to it and then holding it over my head lol. Instead of wrestling the machine to where I wanted it (im a big dude at 5'11 at 280 pounds), the machine does all the work. I feel foolish, but at least I learned the right way now! Went out and tried it right after watching the video and it's a breeze now! Thanks!
Thank you for the kind words! It's surprising how easy it actually is once you get the hang of it isn't it. Doesn't feel like that at the start though
I had to use one of these at work today for the first time and had to learn all of this on my own. No one showed me anything. Just wanted to see if I was missing anything. I found if I sorta twist the handle I can move the machine forwards and backwards too. (Twist left to move forward and right for backwards.)
I work in a machine shop and ours had a wire-brush attachment. It's an election year and everything is slowing down so we're doing a deep clean of the whole place.
I'm glad the video helped! Yes twisting the handle does make the machine move forwards and backwards, you're moving on to advanced level stuff there :-) It's a good oppertunity to get those deep cleans done at the moment!

@@CleaningequipmentservicesCoUk could someone please tell me, how are these safe, a electric machine, while standing in water?

Love the detail in your story. Good luck with the turn around, hopefully y’all pick up again soon
And where to get it
Hi Abdul, you can see the new & refurbished stock we have available here cleaningequipmentservices.uk/product-category/used-rotary-buffersscrubbers/
I remember my uncle showing me how to do this not as easy as it looked
This is magic. thank you!
does anyone know if this machine is heavy? 😂 i am scared to use a buffer machine at my job!
So this is what Lionel Messi does during off season...
I love using this shit at work.
But I've used the ones with a water tank on it.
That's a scrubber or buffer then if it has a tank
@@aaaaeeeeffffeeeekkkkssss It's exactly like the one in the video just has a tank for water/cemical solution. It's a floor polisher, and the dude in the video said himself that some come with a tank. Been doing this work for 7 years you don't need to correct me about my job. Been using walk behind scrubber dryers, currently using a ride on scrubber dryer in a shopping mall. You name it I probably used it in the last 7 years.

I have a similar machine and was wanting to use it to grind a concrete slab and quarry tile floor. Do you know what type of attachment/disc I need?
Floor grinding is very different to cleaning. There are lots of options. Best speaking to a floor grinding specialist.
That was an excellent tutorial. I just picked up a Numatic floor cleaner at an auction and want to use it to clean up a very dirty quarry tile floor. It has some concrete residue left on the surface. I checked the pad of the machine and it has very stiff plastic bristles. What liquid should I be using on the floor while using the machine?
Hi, thank you for your compliment! There are 5 different types of machine:
- Slow speed (up to 200rpm) - For heavy scrubbing
- Medium speed (200 - 300rpm) - For light scrubbing/buffing
- High speed (300 -800rpm) - For buffing/polishing
- Dual/Multispeed (Switcheable) - For scrubbing and buffing
- Ultra high speed (800+rpm) - For high gloss light polishing
So you need to check the speed of your machine to see if it will do what you need. If you try to polish with a slow machine it won't polish well and if you try to scrub with a high speed machine it will probably keep tripping and eventually burn out.
If you are using a brush you will need a slow or medium speed machine.
A Janitorial Supplier should be able to advise you on the best chemical for quarry tiles. Some chemicals you can spray on and buff off. Some chemicals require you to put more liquid on the floor which you will need to mop or suck off after with a wet vacuum.
its help me a lot! thanks brother ❤
Cheers mate, about to do the floors at work and never touched one of these in my life.

Where video
Excellent video. I just hired one of these and this video was very informative. Many thanks.

How often should the pad be changed if you buffer once/twice a week?
It depends on how large the floor is, how heavy the machine is, how rough the floor is, quality of the pad etc.
You can flip the pad over mid use to give you another clean side.
Ideally you should remove and rinse the pad after each use.
Consider replacing the pad when it is less than 1cm thick
best if you use a robotic rechargeable cleaner..
Anyone on extra duty?
We're can I buy thatfloor- buffer machine? and how much it cost?.
Hi Vangile, we have a selection of refurbished floor buffers available for sale here cleaningequipmentservices.uk/product-category/used-rotary-buffersscrubbers/
how do you check what speed it is?
It depends which model you have. Usually there is a clue in the model number. For example a Nilfisk SDM43/400 is 43cm/400rpm. Victor machines usually say 'standard speed' or 'high speed' on them. In these and other non obvious cases it's usually easiest to google the model followed by 'rpm' to find out the actual speed.
Use Go Go flr n bathroom cleaner for home office
What would you use to get rid of the black scuff marks left by shoes whilst buffering?
Hi Dawn, use a slightly abrasive pad such as a red pad to help remove scuff marks. You could pre-spray them with a floor polish (we use Shiny Buff cleaningequipmentservices.uk/product/shiny-buff-perfumed-floor-maintainer/ ) if they are particularly stubborn
I have a tornado machine but dont have the driver ..where I cant buy??please help me
Hi Marco, you could try these guys www.dk-holdings.co.uk/floor/tornado.html
I hope you can help me....I have a dining room with a dark hardwood engineered floor. From the beginning its been a bear to deal with. It shows every smug, smear and water stain droplets left on it. I have a small Regina buffer that I would like to use to polish it. The floor is almost in brand new condition as the dining room gets very little traffic and use. I would like to know what kind of pads to buy (color) and what kind of solution to use to machine polish the floor without leaving a mess of swirl marks and smears everywhere...I have tried about everything.
Hi Raymond, you will need a soft white polishing pad. Regarding the solution you'd be best speaking to a good janitorial supplier. You can probably find a local one on Google.
@@5598469 Chis, are you talking about the white lambs wool pads or something more like a fiber pad.????
