  • The middle of the world has us going underground into a hard to navigate path of pitfalls and walls that need quick-reflex bomb carrying and setting.
    This also marks the first appearance of Porcupo. Prior to the 1990's, this was a mostly ignored character but as soon as 1991 rolled around and the ahem competition released their 16-bit console, these blue needle mice were quickly mistaken as a shot at the "Blue Blur". More so with Porcupo's appearance in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show cartoon.
    Funny how an enemy prior to the "genesis" of the Big S's speedster that a little prickly rodent could be retroactively mistaken for a high-top wearing chillidog-eater who destroys evil robot engineer's schemes.
    But I digress...
    Beat another Red Birdo and it's time to move on.
    Same assets. Same bag of tricks. By this point the game profile is practically making itself.
    Cheat codes used. Again, not intended as a serious walk-through, just as a 3D demo.
