When I watched the movie of Melquiades Estrada I was reminded of many instances during my childhood in Arizona near the Mexico border. Our father was an itinerant water well driller that usually worked in rural desert areas near the Mexico border and at times in the state of Sonora. In the late 1940's and 50's we would cross the border into Mexico with a wave of a hand by the crossing guard. It was indeed a common culture in the area that was very little affected by the actual border. We didn't speak fluent Spanish then like Tommy Lee Jones but could understand get by. It is one of my favorite movies and I have watched it several times. It truly captures the essence of life in small towns in both countries.

Mexicans are then original cowboys ,we have the tradition since we join the Spanish conquers to the north territories when the Americans stolen our lands they have to learn of this traditions..on the begining coahuila and texas was the same province before they take our lands

It sounds like you are defending the spanish 'conquerors' more than the american 'thieves' that integrated with all the previous cultures, native or european.
remember, 'the south' and even cinco de mayo, were all french before american. the early united states/colonies just bought most territories, same with alaska from russians and many other nations.
war was brought here to north america from many nations -- america brought us all together.

btw, one of my favorite movies too. texas ranchers do the long hauls, us californio 'buckaroos' maintain the beauty. ;)
