We’ve all done it Allen, I even sent a guy away on his 30 mile trip home, only for him to call and there was no sound, I went to him and found I hadn’t plugged the speakers back in lol chit happens 😊

Easily done. I had an HP laser printer in the repair cafe where I even said to the customer "I bet I forget to plug the motor back in when I put it back together."
Took longer to clip everything together than expected and sure enough I got an error code when printing a test page.
    "Motor fault"
    Doh!

😂😂 self inflicted brother.... you did call it though, so at least you knew. I enjoy your content. Really an extra eye opener to these companies.

One of my worst was to put an electrolytic in backwards in a Panasonic VCR (switching power supply). The board markings were misleading. Powered it up, a loud whistling sound and a pop as the top of the capacitor burst open.

I remember back in the day I did not plug in a remote sensor module in a Television after repairing a fault just before christmas, customer duly reported no remote operation which I sorted straight away.
I admitted it was my fault and never saw the customer agian.

A stiff piece of cardboard as an improvised peg board use to help on some situations too.
Oddly no ESD measures used in these presentations on this channel and no bench mat either except a rough remnant cut from a shag pile carpet. Blimey.

I’m catching up on your back catalogue, very enjoyable.
I notice on several videos you open up a tv and often comment that you may have worked on it before.
Why don’t you sign and date the inside of the tv similar to watch repairers do, and a well known RUclips mechanic?

If you haven't made a mistake, you have never repaired anything.
I have made my share, a customer once returned a music centre complaining of a rattle when the cassette was playing, I had left a small screwdriver under the mechanism.

Any advice on a JVC LT-55CA890. I own one, but feel there is a screen bleed issue after watching your content. When the screen is black,or changing inputs, it appears to have white coming through. Would this be down to the diffuser sheet maybe? I haven't seen much content around this model at all, so would be grand if you could create some. Many thanks
