About your destroyer question, no it's unchanged. Blizzard made a big thing about how campaign wouldn't be affected by balance patches in the WoL lead up. The Vanguards are busted as well. They fire 16 shots in campaign but only 8 in co-op.
I’ve binged the hell out of this series. I’ve actually been streaming an achievement run play through of the campaign. On the last few missions of WoL. Moebius Factor was really hair-raising.
Living Flower | saddly colosi are completely robotic machines with previous great wariors minds uploaded. And the problem with actual protoss bio units is that it's stated several times they can't be infected. So the only option is that isha is secretly abathurs spawnling (since he hasn't got a nose too)
I've had this bug occur in my campaign playthough as well. It seemed to happen randomly. In a few missions throughout my playthrough of all 3 campaigns, I simply could not save. If I restarted the mission, it would work again. Strange bug.
Not to get ahead of where he is at but the Range upgrade is significantly better than the "bounce" upgrade for the void rays. While the Taldarim VR's look really flashy the DPS is far worse, especially with how armor upgrades interact with the bounce mechanic. Unlike many choices which are stylistic preferences that is one of the options where when you do the math behind it there is clearly one superior option. Although due to how badass they look and seem I feel like many people dont realize this.
I have to agree, also i think that even tho nearly all the taldarim units are badass they're often specialized in aoe damage or/and vs light units and in this campaign,, you really prefer to have efficient units vs blinded units ( hybrids and big ships are kind of what make some missions difficult)
The immo buff can be nice, the havoc is the best if you are planning on strictly building 2-3 max. The HT, Collosi, Voidray options I feel are just bad and the mothership is so late in the game its your call, but its unnecessary with the secret comp for the last mission.
the immo buff is nice, but i feel like the nerazim immo are pure madness (given how strong they are), you can just mass them and rekt even air units( not enought for the last mission tho, mass carrier seem to be the way) and havoc are indeed nice but nothing crazy.
Immo is the best protoss unit in the campaign imo, but my personal play style is to have 1 unit I micro per mission so I usually dont use the immo although I'm sure its quite strong, I just enjoy the blink stalker micro a little bit more. I personally go with the standard immo just to help them stay alive for longer. Placing 2 havocs in a death ball is incredibly powerful for what you pay for it, but being able to stim a collossi is also hilarious. BY FAR the best comp for the last mission is the secret sc1 comp.
I was just going to write the same comment. Don't know why Lowko would go out of his way to take out the furthest outposts first while leaving a massive base directly on his doorstep intact...
Lowko, the whispers of oblivion missions came out several months before the legacy of the void did. they did that as a teaser and to get people more hyped for the actual campaign.
This mission has a very similar feel to the Step of the Rite mission. Same base/expo positions, roughly the same locations for objectives, both have a periodic event (vespene gas or terrazine) and both give access to void rays for the first time.
Small tip; most of the taldarim's units you're fighting are just reskinned default protoss units. For example, you'll be facing void rays instead of destroyers in the campaign.
"It will be a glorious battle!" is a Protoss euphemism for "A lot of us are going to die." Oh, and they aren't called Nexi any more, they are Nexticles now.
Amon’s best troops are also Protoss so he would still need vespene to feed them. In this mission, you literally have to steal vespene from their mining sites. So it’s not like Amon just willingly gives you vespene. :) he’s overconfident that the tal’darim can repel his enemies, just as he is comfident that his hybrid will win. But lotV’s epilogue will show you how that turned out. :)
Just like in co-op it is almost always a good idea to go for the expansion asap unless u need to do a speedrun for a certain achievement. In campaign I'm pretty sure the only missions where you don't have an expansion available are when your starting base has extra resources to begin with or if you don't have a base at all.
In case anyone else was surprised/confused by the voice of Talis, that is indeed the same great voice actress who did the voice of Major Motoko Kusinagi in the Ghost in the Shell anime. Mary Elizabeth McGlynn!
Save fails occur when you have played this mission recently enough that there is an existing save file with the same name. The auto save feature does not overwrite the previous auto save files, so you should manually delete the old save files.
you are quite inefficient with protecting the base... try a shild battery for each 2 photon canons build and wallt the gateways to your base... and go for the shild upgrade as soon as possible it helps quite a lot and you are not waisting minerals ;)
Lowko, please consider doing Nova ops on brutal too. I mean, dat as.. :D please remember Lowko, the easiest way to beat final storyline mission before epilogue, quick expand, spam shield batteries on 3 entrances, spam corsairs and dts' with aoe :D this startegy allows to grab all achievments on brutal with ease
I like how you chose the Lowko difficulty not to target-fire to destroy any warp prism while they warping-in troops. Wait, was that just another LowBlind moment ? .... Oh
You did complete all prologue, main story and epilogue missions on youtube Lowko, it's just you never watched the story so far cutscene of the prologue, that's it. Nice job this time too.
17:00 Those little guys that recharge shields? Only mass void ray with zealots is one way I guess. I'll watch the rest to see if you change your mind hehe
Is Lowko sleep deprived in this video? His reaction time is slow, keep making bad decisions, his LowBlind increased, ignored lessons he has learned in the previous campaign, macro lacking, micro even with few units is bad. Seems like he is not playing like normal. Or maybe he just woke up.
technically, lotv prologue is still part of hots, so taldarim units are still just regular sentries, stalkers ect ect.. cause if taldarim here used taldarim units from lotv campaign, it would be spoilerish considering this prologue got released pre lotv launch.
If you would only play this way in the old starcraft campaign it would have been much harder then it was. Some missions in there get really hard if you want to clean everything up
Zealot unit info is also somewhat missleading. Correct me if i am wrong here but it say its dmg in 1 attack but a zealot attacks with both psi blades meaning 2 attacks so they do deal dubble the dmg.
Well you could say that Colossi shoot out of their ears, but the dont shoot lasers out of their ears since their eyes are in the middle of their head and the lasers are comming out of the side of their heads
Aighter | they have cell tower antenas instead of ears out of which they can shoot lasers (you know... since they are so high and even the future needs that sweet 4G coverage)
Opperative ZERG Yes but in their Portait you can see their optical sensors (eyes) wich are in the middle of their head and not at the sides where the lasers come from
I would also watch it. I still never beaten Diablo II to this day but I loved it. (I seriously can't just play as one class as I keep replaying the game as new classes and never finished the game... The farthest I got with a class is with the Assassin class... Too bad I no longer have my save files). But I have watched my dad at the final area a long time ago.
if I remember correctly the prologue came out on NA servers a few hours before EU so you played these on a different account which would explain the absence of achievement... I think...
Actually the Nerazim void ways are way superior than Tal'darim's. Void rays are good at melting down things with massive amount. Also destroyers only deal 1 splash damage iirc.
I remeber, when lowko last time played that mission and didn't realize, he could just play voidrays, xD... In the end he had to resetart cause of that.
well, I guess so, but voidrays are cheaper and build quickaer than those 2... but ofc you could do that, considering the time lowko took to complete it anyways...
Lowko posted. Protoss campaign sighted. No Abathur detected. Unacceptable.
Woah, top comment and no replies after 4 years?!?!?
just imagine how much easier that mission would have been with Terrans
Almost no Gas? Screw it Marines for days
Matthias Zimmermann zealots
@@randomvideogameracoon8358 zealots are expensive and can't attack air :/
Protoss are just so expensive
@@spencerj6557 Yeah but they are stronger and they have a shields
Zerg: ling queen
But before we confront Amon, we must reclaim the great protoss book of cheese! :D
Thats what the campaign is about. Not uniting the protoss factions but uniting the great book of cheese
I think we need to come up with a name for the photon cannon...
Phasey bois?
Zappy bois?
Hidey bois?
Warpy bois?
About your destroyer question, no it's unchanged. Blizzard made a big thing about how campaign wouldn't be affected by balance patches in the WoL lead up. The Vanguards are busted as well. They fire 16 shots in campaign but only 8 in co-op.
vanguards are OP. destroyer have multitarget dps but dont have prismatic alignment tho if i remember correctly
To be fair even with the reduced shot count, alaraks vanguards are still very strong
Void Rays>>>>>>>>>>destroyers
Yeah, but destroyers are only good at destroying your FPS if u plan to mass them.
Void rays are much better and more powerful
TAL'DARIM OP
I’ve binged the hell out of this series. I’ve actually been streaming an achievement run play through of the campaign. On the last few missions of WoL. Moebius Factor was really hair-raising.
Aren't that obvious for you, Lowko, that Colossi shoot laser beams from their nostirls? (obligatory nose pun intensifies)
Max58183 this could be the reason why iszha's nose is missing. Maybe she is an infested collossos before?
Living Flower | saddly colosi are completely robotic machines with previous great wariors minds uploaded. And the problem with actual protoss bio units is that it's stated several times they can't be infected. So the only option is that isha is secretly abathurs spawnling (since he hasn't got a nose too)
Hey now this is nothing to sneeze at!
@@mantas9259 headphone it is then
Lowblind is so strong especially in 14:40 lowko u discovered the base like 10 min aho
Bless you
Just started the episode... already hit that like button!! I love this series!!
the best thing about all of your videos is “don’t forget to smile” statement. thank you for that 💜
Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void Ray.
For real tho, once you unlock the Void Ray in the campaign that's the only unit you build.
Necro here: I usually go carrier/immortal/sentry...that's just a personal preference tho.
"Save failed" means that you have way too many saves, so you'd rather to delete a bunch of 'em
It doesnt. He was abled to save again after restarting the mission
Its seem ti be a bug only on this mission. I had thek same issue
I've had this bug occur in my campaign playthough as well. It seemed to happen randomly. In a few missions throughout my playthrough of all 3 campaigns, I simply could not save. If I restarted the mission, it would work again.
Strange bug.
Anyways, If I deleted a couple of saves, that bug won't appear later in my playthrough of all 3 campaigns.

Meeqs B what is the secret sc 1 comp?
Static Defence! :D
If you kill that base in the middle first, the attacks will not come from there. Then do the side camps on 2 bases.
I was just going to write the same comment. Don't know why Lowko would go out of his way to take out the furthest outposts first while leaving a massive base directly on his doorstep intact...

Liked it before watching it because I know it's gonna be good.
Lowko, when the enemies make a comment, it means that there are about to attack, not only getting the sick burn you know XD
We are looking forward for the Nova Campaign :D
He's done that one quite recently. Before Wings of Liberty.

I wish Blizz would showcase new campaign missions. I really want an Alarak story.
I have to say I appreciate the intros for these videos a lot. It is all in one shot so if lowko slips I’m sure he starts over
Voidray's are the sardines of the sky. They are so beautiful en masse.
Tip: probe can warp pylon in gas holes for extra defense
I realized in the last episode but didn't bring it up but the person who does Talis' voice does Governer Price from Star Wars Rebels.

Fighting on literally an entire planet bursting with Vespene gas under its crust.

Lowko, I have a suggestion. Photon cannons... zappy bois
Fun fact: The tal`darim get centerys and build them into havocs if they can otherwise they do not.
There is an interesting structure that costs no vespine and helps you defend your base :p

Actually laser giraffes DO shoot theyre lasers out of theyre headphones. The eyes are on that little thing in the front.

well, I guess so, but voidrays are cheaper and build quickaer than those 2... but ofc you could do that, considering the time lowko took to complete it anyways...
LOL TROLL yeah but the interceptors can tank for days
zealot has a double attack cause 2 bladed hands
I think the multiplayer mindset does affect Lowko here. He keeps trying to move around with a small force against well-established bases :-?.
Is anybody else thinking the map layout is very similar to the map of the "Steps of the Rite" Mission?
