Amon has betrayed the Tal'darim. Because of that, at the beginning of the previous episode, Alarak warned Vorazun that Artanis is in danger. Initially Vorazun was reluctant to accept his help, but she did go and managed to save the Protoss Hierarch.

Lowko actually looked hurt when Alorak called him out on indecisiveness lmao
I like how in order to reawaken the Purifier Battlestation you need to deactivate the shield generator on the forest world of Endion.
You just blew my mind. So much star wars reference. Nice catch.
Makes sense to have the controls outside the station in case you'd ever want to get back in, doesn't it?
It's a Star Wars Reference that was his/her point.
"This bargain grows less apealing by the moment" said Artanis
Could this be a reference to the famous "This deal is getting worse all the time" line from The Empire Strikes Back?
I couldn't not hear it that way haha. Especially after Lowko missed another SW reference earlier :)
THE TALDARIM *HIGH* LORD
Kazba i have been so blind
Kazba hai
senpai, you enlightened me xD
I can just imagine the guys at Blizzard smoking weed when they came up with that.
"We should have the bad guy Protoss live on a planet that has naturally occurring drugs in the atmosphere."
"Ok, but what do we call their leader?"
*pauses for a second* "High Lord." *long pause followed by hysterical laughter*
Oh boy! -40 min- 20 min of Lowko's gameplay!!!
How do you strikethrough in comments?
\-You type like this.-
Without the backslash though. You only need the hyphens on either side of the text you wish to strikethrough.
-You absolute noob.-
CrazynToughKiwi -thank you(?)-
-nice-
The Void beings have significantly less health than the units they take the form of. However, there are later missions where they get full health if they're in an area with Void energies or in the Void itself.
David Japuntich so void rases not op???
they have same amount of health but take double damage. still tho, destroyers make it so it doesnt matter regardless
Terrazine does turn protoss into savage boys..who knew!
Solarite is pretty bad too. Hoot hoot
hoot hoot indeed
Stetmann may know a thing or two about it
That title is a pun itself.
How many different routes of administration have been confirmed? This is important stuff, people.
I don't like the tal'darim
Too edgy for me
Only the highest become lord
Kinda spoilers, but hey, everyone is aware of the Rak'Shir co-op mission at the very least, so it's fine.
Anyway, Alarak wanted those Ascendants dead because during Rak'Shir they'd be able to support Ma'lash from a great distance, putting Alarak in a 5 on 1 (excluding regular troops or hybrids) fight. Ma'lash would just push the line all by himself.
To psionically support someone for rak'shir you have to be on the field with them, they wouldn't have been able to help from where they were. The real reason was twofold, both eliminating some of malash's most powerful psionic supports AND eliminating those most loyal to him from the chain of ascension. Ji'nara, the second ascendant at this point (directly below Alarak) has terse loyalty to alarak above Malash because she's opportunistic and understands how dangerous and ambitious Alarak is but these ascendants are just below her, and considering there's so many of them they're a legitimate threat to him should he topple malash, since they could usurp Ji'nara's position and then all gang up on him (while preventing anyone else from helping him).
Since the daelaam aren't tal'darim, they can freely kill whoever they like without interfering in the rules of the Chain of Ascension, and save Alarak a lot of time and effort in engineering "accidents" to kill them off
@@Aliencommander1245 Like a true Sith Lord. His armor even reminds me of the armor worn by Lord-rank Sith Inquisitors in Vitiate's Sith Empire...only cooler. Way cooler.
"These are Malash' guardians"
"Is that Malash?"
40:24 spinning Void Ray ft. Interceptors lmao
spin to win
*Friendly Dancing Detected*
Fenix has always been my favorite character in StarCraft, especially in the 1st game. A badass protoss that just never seem to die (even though he did) and will always find himself in the midst of battle. Literally my favorite line he always says "I hunger for battle" makes me want play this character and slaughter everything lmao
StarCraft 2 he's also a fun character as well, even though he's not the same from the first but in nature still another badass character.
Lowko the ability to warp in robo and stargate units is so good I would suggest giving it a try.
Alarak's voice actor, John de Lancie, is awesome. He was in Star Trek (Q), Battlestar Galactica, and Stargate. He was also in Breaking Bad and Days of Our Lives, and played Desmond's father in Assassin's Creed
He is truly a treasure and a gem. I believe he is also an English theater-trained actor, like Christopher Lee and the late great Ian Mcdiarmid. Actors trained in the art in English theater are the world's best, hands down.
Don't forget Discord from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
3 years later and I still rewatch this series and enjoy it !
Where's the hummus thou ?!
When you listen to the way they explain their points and opinions shows for a great writing and story telling. God, this is absolutely astonishing. Love the videos, Lowko, keep them coming!
does alarak not look like the tall wallnut from Plants vs Zombie? LMao
Sa Malanqi you.... you just have to say that, don't you? Now i'm not gonna be able to unsee it
lmao at least his eyesight is better
I thought he looked like an egg :/
In korea he is nicknamed bamboo sapling. Google it. It’s a food here so everyone knows how it looks.
El Mao
So...does this mean that Raynor by saving Kerrigan released Amon?
and he did that because Valerian was told by Moebius that Kerrigan can be saved from what she become usin Zel-naga artifact
and Moebius know that because of Dr.Narud aka Duran which is servant of Amon
huh
Yeah pretty crazy. It was Narud's plan all along, and in the best case for him, Kerrigan could've remained less powerful and less of a threat to him also. I think it was actually mentioned by Stukov in Heart of the Swarm in the mission before you face Narud, if I remember right.
well they kinda did mention that in HotS, but it's explained more here
meaby it's even deeper Narud's/Duran's plan cuz he created Abathur which recreated Kerrigan as Queen of Blades
but thats just a theory
A GAME THEORY
Well the Queen of Blades was always intended as a weapon against Amon. All of Naruds Plans backfired because only with the transformation with the Xel'naga keystone Kerrigan became free of Amons control.
Only so he get the primal essence and so the power to fullfill the prophecy in the end.
You can see it as a battle between Narud and Zeratul where both have their plans
I mean, he probably eventually could have found an alternate means of powering the keystone and releasing Amon. Using it to cleanse Kerrigan was just the most convenient.
Hi Lowko, a little adwise for you: choose moebius labs as next travel point, after slain. Then, after next travel, and first mission of Endion, you will recieve Tal'Darim motherfu... mother ship, i mean, and try it out before returning to aiur. Than, after this you will have chanse to try carriers and tempests in two last missions. Youre welcome :)
Никита Наумов everybody knows that Lowko just does what he thinks is the most fun though.
With Dark Archon in SC1, I always mind controlled a worker unit of another race to start building and playing as two or three races at the same time xd
John de Lancie... that is awesome. Now I hear everything Alarak says in Q's vernacular... LOL
Dark Archons are amazing in the Rak'shir mission. They send you tons of powerful protoss units to take control of :D
From now on every time I'll get angry I'll say..
*MY RAGE BURNS BRIGHTER THAN A THOUSAND SUNS*
So annoyed that you didn't read up on the High Templar before just skipping them straight to Dark Archons. They're essentially healers in the campaign, and Archons also get the spells.
This. So much this.
Normal archons aren't spellcasters in the campaign, it's only in coop that they do that
"This deal is getting worse all the time"
Alarax: "Is not a phase, Arthanis! I'm really this dark!"
Seeing Lowko get excited about Alarak > Actual Gameplay
Alarak the druglord
Pines 105 EDGELord*
Basically, energisers with collosus and adept are imba vs zerg, try it!
I’m just imagining 2 taldarem zealots laid back listening to every little thing is gonna be alight
Lowko’s impeccable and flawless comments make my day.
When Alarak was lamenting about realizing all he knew was a lie, it sounded like he was on the edge of tears (voice breaking), speaking with such distraught that I have never seen him display before... Wow...
7:55 the voice actor from Brazil is still so good as the American
10:44 vorazun goes tsundere again. ^ ^
lowko, note that the high templar got some buffs too after that mission, storm has higher radius and heals shields of friendly units. its pretty potent too
The Vanguard are glass cannons, stupid powerful but die a lot quicker than Immortals.
The Destroyers are also very cool as they target multiple units, but they don't increase direct damage output like Void Rays.
Makes the Vanguard great as either flanking units or expendable swarm units.
I think of discord when I hear alarack's voice
Same
Feed your entire army to enemy mothership... Lowko difficulty activated. :D
Blizzard oughta make a difficulty one higher than brutal called "Lowko Difficulty" where you can't build ANY static defense and microing units is not allowed!
Take your time with convos, cutscenes and spear of adun interactions b. Love those
Defences ? Hahahha your are so funny Artanis, we are talking about lowko
Lowko, keep in mind that mind controlled units do not consume supply in the campaign, this makes dark archon's mind control great against protoss. Meanwhile, despite being temporary, confusion is great against massed small units like zerglings and marines.
Do not forget to smilerak. XD
Dark Archon and „mobile shield battery“ is the best combo. I mindcontroled all the units of my enemy 😁
When I had Dark Archons either in campaign or multiplayer, I loved taking the minds of SCVs and/or drones to create my own Terran and/or Zerg + Protoss army. :D
Lowko, the Voids are WoL voidrays which is why they are so OP. They have that old school OP WoL charge up mechanic.
Hey Lowko, the Adept's shade is actualyl activated automatically in the campaign! Just like for Fenix's Adept's in Co-Op
So what would determine where the shade moves to?
Lowko, you should try reading the Rak'shir short story if you want to understand the Tal'darim's traditions and Alarak backstory.
Ahh, i love John de' Lancie voice so much
That Star Wars reference gets me all the time.
Jesus, those Void Rays are just melting through units like butter. They just have to wink at a wave of zerglings to snuff them out like candles. XD
OP OP
Oh a new campaign video, i was expecting so much more
I need this campaing daily. Love that you get all the lore
Voice actors in AAA....
When every 5th npc is belethor....
Nice you mentioned the good work of Alarak's voice actor. All hail John de Lancie! He also played "Q" in Star Trek! ;)
Now we now why the Taldarim are such mad people.
They aren't mad, they are just high on terrazine.
Alarak is voiced by John de Lancie In case you were wondering, Mr Lowko
"HAVE YOU COME TO BARE WITNESS TO THE END?" *immediately explodes*
Thing with the adepts, yes they have an active ability, they are very good as they are the smallest of the ranged warriors, letting them not get stuck on each other
Lore time!
I am not very certain about this but, as I recall, the xel'naga were killed by the Overmind which Amon created to use as a hive mind to organise the zerg on Zerus into the Swarm. Pretty sure that after that, the Overmind grew independent of Amon and started trying to evolve the Swarm into what he called the Eternal Swarm in the original StarCraft.
Star Trek fans have long known the awesomeness of John de Lancie (voice actor for Alarak) since the time he first played Q in The Next Generation.
This video is actually less than 50% gameplay XD I love it though, your reactions are great as it is! Keep it up!
John de Lancie who played "Q" in Star Trek Next Generation is Alarak's voice.
Lowko is using the phrase ''not doing particularly well'' so many times that i fear he is not doing particularly well himself
Mission starts at @25:31 I love the pre game banter and back story, makes me feel like I have a friend to enjoy SC2 with . But I could see why people would wanna skip. *Edit* omg OVER half this video is just the opening banter XD LOL, I love you Lowko 💕
Alarak, master of throwing shade!
Fenix...like a phoenix,
dies...and reborn...again and again
I love that Lowko doesn't pay attention to Alarak saying that Amon's forces were weaker. He's gushing over how much damage the Void Rays are doing, but it's only because Amon's forces are weak XD
Alarak: the void entities do not have thier full power
Lowko: this void ray's damage is insane!!
i love your attitude and humor lowko.
your videos always make my day.
keep up the good work
Alarak remends of T. Rex Megatron from Beast Wars.
I am stuck on the last mission of the main story for lotv. So now I am waiting for lowko to get there to see his strategy.
It's ezzzzzzy
I wouldn't say easy, considering it's a defense mission similar to the Shakuras temple. These kinds of missions force you to develop your economy and army quickly and continually get harder, so if you don't get enough momentum to crush early waves without significant losses, you can rapidly lose ground. However, it's far from impossible. I find that expanding early and building knots of batteries to support your mobile army in early waves helps a lot in the final mission (it may take a few attempts to figure out the best order and timing to build them). Then build up to heavy cannon and monolith walls with plenty of batteries around them and tech-switch into air-toss armies heavy in complementary units like void-ray and carrier. Ground forces tend to derp around the defenses, and the walls simply can't hold by themselves because later waves send in a lot of tempest, carrier, and similar siege units, and a few monoliths are simply no match for this. With the carriers' repair drones and reconstruction beam helping keep units and structures alive, it becomes much easier to maintain a solid defense. Sadly, energizers aren't much help here unless they can move around the defenses, because unlike Karax in co-op they won't boost towers. But if you plan to eventually sacrifice your ground army and take completely to the air, you can also build full cannon walls right around the keystone in case your allies fall.
It's quite tough! I think the second mission in the epilogue is the most difficult single player mission in the game by a pretty good margin, but the final one in the main part of LotV may well take second place. It's a little cheesy, but I decided to construct a wall of Gateways (in some parts double thick) near the end of the mission just to buy some extra time. They have a lot of HP so it takes a little while for the enemy Zealots+Immortals to punch through. They don't send a ton of anti-air in general, and Void Rays have great DPS, but they're still not enough to stop the full tide of everything coming at you, which is why I think building a wall really helped. It was still very close, but the Gateways bought me the few seconds I needed!
Valtur's strategy is nice. It is also very important to split up your air army to defend all the attack paths at once near the end.
Very true valaquenta7. Unless you lose allies before then, in which case you just want to retreat to the high ground.
Alarak still needs his "Make the Tal'Darim great again" hats. :D
I like adepts the best, not because of any abilities they have, but because they are small and you can much more easily amass them and move them around.
Cutscenes are mostly longer because of the slow pace at which protoss 'talk'
If you use Fenix again, please keep in mind that he does a bunch of AOE damage when he lands. So instead of landing him outside of combat and letting him charge in, drop him like a Nuke, directly on the target.
Greetings Friend Lowko, I do not know if you noticed or not, but the high templar's storm restores friendly shields in the campaign. You should check it out if it sounds cool to you.
Amon puts powerful ascendants into the tal-darim, so that they can take control
YOU MEAN CHADLORD ALARAK???
Virgin Hierarch Artanis vs Chadlord Alarak
Edgelord Alarak
Mate Alarak’s actor also plays Q in Star Trek TNG
Its a little known fact that terrazine is like helium for protoss, but instead of making their voice high it lowers their voice, that's why Alarak sounds so great.
Since Protoss technically a kind of a plant, Karax beard looks like as hard as wood
They do get sustenance from the solar core's radiation so... yes?
LOWKO THEY'RE HALLUCINATIONS! HALLUCINATIONS, YOU FOOL
Missed LotV. Thanks Lowko!
I can just imagine some bored zealot just standing there poking the pylon over and over. On, off, on, off ...
Vanguards deal ludicrous damage, I love em.
Dark archon is a game breaking unit in campaign. Sooo fun. Just make a dozen of them using Chrono boost and auto gas gatherers. Nothing more satisfying than waiting on first attack wave theb siezing control of an entire attack wave.
hey Lowko, once Fenix star reading the archives, if you click on him he will tell you the tales of the old Fenix before he die on Aiur, all of them are references of action movies of the 80S, is quite hilarius XD
I feel like Lowko's favourite Protoss unit is the Voidray... Not that I could blame him I mean they melt anything if you have enough of them.
Alarak is played by John de Lancie. He played Q in Star Trek the Next Generation (and a few episodes of DS9 and Voyager). He is also Discord in My Little Pony. He didn't realize he was in My Little Pony until he started getting fan mail from bronies.
Also from the Star Trek roster, Tassadar (and Ouros) are played by Michael Dorn. He played Worf on TNG and DS9.
Just so you know Lowko dark archon mind control does not use up your own supply so in theory you could mind control an infinite amount of enemies.
John de Lancie makes you think of Alarak? I will always hear Q in his voice, forever mocking me
Yeah, he will forever and always be Q. You cannot unhear Q. Makes me wonder if Lowko has watched Star Trek: The Next Generation.
To be fair Loko may be a bit too young for Star Trek's Q and too old for MLP's Discord (aka. Q version 2.0).
Im 17, and I've watched TNG. Its all on Netflix.
I think the high templar in the story have a storm that heals friendly shields and I think the archons can also use the storm ability
After rakshir wait with the purifier missions, get carriers first so you can play out every unit
Amon's micro is on point!
The reason the void rays seem to deal so much damage is because the units coing out of the terazzin take way more damage than normal units.
How to play the Lotv campaign from this mission: stay in your base, max out in void ray, queue up the attack move on the different objectives point and... dunno, go drink some coffee?
25 min of cinematic? Heck yes
I have to agree about the voice actors being great. Fun fact: The German voice actor for Artanis is the same as for Walter White in Breakong Bad.
Vanguard has one of the most visually pleasing attacks in the game. imo
Alarak talk = Lowkogasms
