:( i go every year, because my family are very big disney fans. but somehow, im going in 76 days and i miss it so much. i miss that good old feeling you get on your body whenever you walk through the gates of magic kingdom. and don’t even get me started on the scent that’s in the hotel. it just makes you feel like home, and the dole whip? ohmygod. YES. i love the good feeling in the resort. but sometimes it breaks my heart that i have to leave. whoever is going to Disney for the first time, i DEFINITELY recommend Polynesian Village. it’s so soothing, the hotel is relaxing, and you get to sit on the beach, get your own experience on a small boat, and have a splendid view of the castle across the lake/bay. you even get to watch the fireworks. believe me, the resort is the best resort at disney. period.
Buy the Magic Candle Company "Polynesian" scent. It is the exact replica of the scent they pump into the lobby
The Poly is my home resort. Having a very stressful week at work and it's stupid cold out (even though it's March). I've been listening to this loop for two days now. It calms my mind and reminds me why I continue to work...gotta pay for my Disney habit! Thanks for putting this out.

18:35 is by far my favorite song! It feels dreamy in a way. It’s a feeling I can’t describe. I get like a sense of nostalgia I’ve never experienced before. I feel like I’m at the poly at sunset.
This was the first resort my grandmother and I stayed at in 1988 on our first trip to walt disney world.

Never stayed at the Polynesian, but I visited it frequently since I stayed nearby at the Shades of Greene! As a kid, this resort would literally glow from its sheer beauty, particularly at dusk. I will forever treasure those beautiful memories 💖
If you wanna stay here, I recommend staying at Aulani instead, which is practically the exact same thing, although located in Honolulu, Hawai’i. Sure, the trip itself could be more expensive, but it’s worth it. Here, you can visit any other hotel within the Ko’Olina area, and even areas outside of Ko’Olina, such as Kamakana’ali’i, which isn’t too far away. Plus, the Hawaiian feeling this resort seems to give off just seems to be more effective.
Listening to this takes all the pain away... 😔
Bless your heart for this. I was there two weeks ago and intentionally took my time going to the parks just so I could sit around and enjoy the atmosphere. Best resort there.
My favorite at 5:45. Reminds me of my first trip from 2008. The song is even on my home movies from that trip.

Thank goodness for Disney music loops in a pandemic. I fell asleep to the Space Mountain tunnel loop last night. I'm living my best life right now. I could use a Dole Whip though.
I miss this resort like something FIERCE. Granted I travelled to Oahu this past summer, but this resort itself has such a special touch to it that I can't get enough. It's classic mid mod tiki at it's finest.

To me, this resort is just super special to me, as it’s also the one I’ve stayed at the most (20 something times already). Sharing my Aloha to you, and I hope you can revisit us someday!

You could slip some of these into a Spongebob episode and I'd guess they were from the Polynesian.
Spongebob takes place at Bikini Atoll which is most well known as being the place where the US tested its first thermonuclear bomb. They did a lot of testing there which is the premise for the show. All those strange characters are mutated sea life.
I believe Bikini bottom is in the South Pacific.
Some of them have been used in SpongeBob episodes! The song at 1:21:09 has been in the show, albeit a different cover that's more somber than the upbeat version used at Disney.

This music...this music...I got stranded at Disney World once in the early 00's with my Brother in Law. We were both in our early twenties and we were both broke--we'd ridden the bus to party at Downtown Disney because what else is there to do in Orlando and we ended up missing the late bus back to town. We sat in the parking lot watching all the families leave for the day. We rode the empty monorail around the park about six times until it stopped running at around 2AM. We ended up on the fake beach at the Polynesian at around 3:30AM trying to sleep in the hammocks and keep the mosquitoes from exsanguinating us. I didn't sleep all night, instead watching the sky slowly turn pink and the birds start to stir. We wandered back to the lobby and sat in the AC for a while. A small TV in the corner was playing the same two Goofy cartoons on a loop. We watched them four times, stole a banana from the cafe for breakfast and split it between the two of us, walked back to the parking lot and boarded the early bus back to Orlando. All the day workers exiting the bus looked at us curiously while we waited for the bus to empty. This music...this music...I fucking hate Disney World.
I remember going to the poly I went there all the time with my family it was are thing it will forever be where my childhood is and I hope one day I can spread the magic and bring my kids there to experience the happiness I had

Abel Hoxeng it was so amazing! We stayed there for 5 nights and had a resort view room, it is so amazing definitely my favorite resort on property, it is just to pretty and it’s just fun to walk around for a while and maybe relax a bit with the amazing music, the pool is SO fun it has an amazing slide. The resort in all is just amazing, have fun!

If we go back, this will be where we stay. We’ve done Animal Kingdom. Wilderness Lodge, and the Grand Floridian. Maybe saving the best for last???

I've done Saratoga Springs, Coranado Springs, Pop Century, Bay Lake Towers, and All Star.
I would definitely recommend Disney's french quarter hotel. It is a little expensive but definitely recommend it. It is a smaller resort so it sure does feel like home!
I've stayed before and loved it, haven't since the change to pool and lobby.
I have also stayed at All Stars, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Fort Wilderness and Port Orleans. My favorite is Fort Wilderness(but some idiot renovated, ruined cabins). I really loved Coronado Springs casitas. With the ever expanding DVC(2 towers and who knows what in old River Country)I may just go back to staying at the Swolphin.

I used to love in Hawaii, miss it so much so nice and calm, ok now I might cry. Lived there for 6 years, I also love Aulani, miss it very much at Aulani they had Hawaiian Disney music in the elevators, now I think I’m crying. I also love Disney

This is great background music for working from home, relaxing, etc. I don't plan to deal with the restrictions/limitations that'll likely be put into place when the parks reopen this year so it'll be a while before I'm back at WDW. Thanks for sharing this!

The Polynesian resort is as awesome as it ever was. But some miserable people will always find something to complain about... 🙄
It takes everything I can muster to stay for a week, but it's worth every penny. Going to rent points next time. Can't stay anywhere else.

Mahalo for asking! They do have an alternative variant of this resort in Honolulu, Hawai’i. It does have a different name, though. Aulani. The resort, however, is still practically the same concept, a Hawaiian-style Disney Resort, but probably better in my opinion. You’re IN Hawaii, so the sort-of Tiki feeling is much more effective. There are even multiple other hotels nearby Aulani, all within the Ko’Olina area. You can stay at as many of them as you want, they all have a Hawaiian-Feeling, too, and for as long as you like, as long as you can pay it lol (Theoretically speaking, you could live at one of those resorts if you had enough money) Most (as far as I know) of their restaurants are available to non-guests, too! There’s a lot more to it, so I would recommend looking into it someday. Mahalo once again, and Aloha!
