Still sharp as a tack, he handles all of the tech support at his care center. Ex Air Force pilot, and an airline pilot for 33 years. He bought our family our first computer, which was a Tandy TRS-80.
You go ahead and grow old the way *you* want to, but allow others the same privilege.
Since I do SEO I must say that retirees are a big and growing segment, especially on legacy platforms like FB and YT. Teenagers and retirees have the most time and desire to connect.

It's an absolute beast of a truck. The innovation in what the Cybertruck brings to market is the biggest thing in my opinion. People will either love or hate the design, but hopefully the changes Tesla has made will continue on with more improvements to their current lineup as well as future vehicles.
It will depend on market acceptance and whether the company can build them to meet demand. So it's wait and see. They've only shipped 10 units thus far.

Overall I think the price is okay and it will come down overtime. The performance is perfect and the range is about what I expected the range extender is a cool feature I didn't expect but because of how much it is I don't see many people buying it. Interested to see everyone's thoughts and I am looking forward to having one on the channel!

Range extender isn't a bad idea. As battery technology advances, extender should get smaller and cheaper

Not really. Specs are meh. The steer by wire is the only thing I would call an engineering forward thing. Everything else is on par with what's already available. And 2.6 0 to 60. Who cares. I can't remember last time I launched my R1T. It's novel at best. I don't get it.

@@walex19 nothing else is impressive. Stainless. Who cares. Bulletproof. Novel at best. Less than 300 mile range is horrible (when adjusting for tesla math). And let's not forget it's ugly as all hell. Pontiak Aztec ugly. The 90 percent will laugh at the 10 percent famboys who actually like this thing.
The stainless steel alloy, to resist rust and be bendable, is ASTOUNDING!
thanks for the close ups inside the CT. i went to my local service center to check it out but no inside close up. It’s a technology beast and I can’t wait to get my truck either ! There’s so much to uncover and learn about this amazing vehicle. what no one is talking about is the security threat that happened. I’m sure this had an effect on the whole delivery presentation. Once you drive a tesla and know that the charging infrastructure just works your driving in the safest vehicle on the road.
I have a Cyberbeast currently on order but depending on the final cost i might switch over to the Dual motor AWD! Either way i think Elon/Tesla knocked it out of the park with the Truck and it will be awesome! This is also coming from someone that has owned several very fast high performance cars which are great to have but i think the Cyberbeast is a do it all machine! I cant wait!

A lot of people are saying they aren't happy with the specs and the price, but I got the Dual motor AWD and they hit every target except the payload capacity with that version and even added a bunch of stuff that in the announcement, like the bigger screen, rear screen, and rear wheel steering. Now the Dual motor has more range and a much faster 0-60!
I can't wait to take delivery! ... some time next year. :(

I’ve had one on reserve before I took delivery of my ‘22 Model Y LR. I initially wanted the Top spec but I’ll wait on prices to drop which I’m sure they will over time.
First one to highlight the black model. Its looks go up to a whole other level in matte black.

This is the first production run, and it’s already more advanced than its competitors. Designed from the ground up in 2019, not from a 1970s pickup, with electrical motors and a battery bank stuffed into an old chassis. Tesla has made a big leap in the Electrical System.

The black satin looks absolutely epic!
I like the fact it has an exoskeleton like my 1985 Fiero GT had. So it also is much more rust-proof too.
I like it. Not really a truck guy, either, but the few times a year I need one, this will do the trick. By the time I can get it, they’ll probably have cut the price, a lot. I’d go for the AWD 2 motor. I’m figuring range will be greater, and it might even be LFP. Who knows what the future will hold?
I wish they would release a 2WD single cab, extended bed version, with a bench seat for 3 in the front, for working.

Thanks Gjeebs for your video and thoughts on the Cybertruck. Some people are disappointed with the higher price and the features that were left out from the original reveal. I think that it is shortsighted thinking. The additional cost comes from new features like steer-by-wire, 48V low voltage upgrade, rear wheel steering, and many more that are missing from other trucks. It is a Tesla after all and so we will all get the best software design in the industry from the infotainment to the drive train control systems. For those discouraged by price, I think it will take a while or maybe never reach the original price at reveal due to the advanced features that Tesla added. Our law enforcement officers need this truck now. :)

The Cybertruck is so unique and has a practical capability. However, at this point it is not for me but there are at least two features I especially like.
The Drive-by-Wire ability is so terrific where you can get a full wheel turn by only moving the steering wheel about one half turn. Also, the steering wheel itself is fabulous in that it is somewhat square and you can more clearly see over the steering wheel. You can also easily place your hands on the mostly flat top part of the wheel for a better position to drive as well as to comfortably rest your hands on the mostly flat bottom part of the wheel while in SFT or just cruising without it on…… so Terrific …. It would be Great if TESLA would offer these features on all of their vehicles. I am hopeful the new items will be available for the line up in the near future.

It’s so cool seeing all of my favourite Tesla RUclipsrs in one place.
I see a lot of small minor things (gear hooks for grocery bags in the funk for a simple example) that will hopefully get ironed out or added to the vehicle in a few years time on newer versions of the model, kinda like how the a 2023 model 3 have many slight improvements over the 2019 model 3.
I for sure want one eventually. I finally saw one in person today at a Tesla store. It looks MASSIVE in person. I guess I would need to drive one to get a feel for it but just looking at it from the outside it looks really wide. I feel like parking that thing anywhere would be a pain.
Four wheel steering will really help the parking ability of the vehicle.

I fell in love with the cybertruck when I first saw it because it was so different and I always pictured it with a matte black wrap on it because you can’t paint it, that would be the first thing I would do if I bought this truck. I also wish they didn’t take away the light strip right above the windshield, but I would put one on myself……it’s crazy dope🔥🔥🔥
I want one, I'm definitely going to wait for v2 but I will 100% be happy with a dual motor awd mid range model. I drive 15-30mi to work, it'll be awesome for camping, taking the skis, towing the motorcycles. It'll let me save on daily driven gas on my baby (2018 STi). Just hope they make it obtainable for the working man. P.S. I want it in black

You nailed the safety aspect. Planning to make the CT my tour North America retirement vehicle. Ordered a DM after launch and later 4 single motors as a robotaxi call option. Zero interest in trucks before this. I think of the CT as just a vehicle with a huge secured trunk. CT is going to upend the truck world in a few short years.
What I love about the Cybertruck is that literally it looks like a space trooper vehicule… just out of this world and here…given for the market. .
I want one. I am going to use this to remind me that next time I want something this good I just place the order like you did here. Money surely is good. :)
Does the Cybertruck have a 48 volt battery and if so where is it located? Also, will a magnet stick to the special steel? Is there a way to get AC and heat in the bed area?
The stainless steel is non magnetic.

It’s a great innovation and what did people expect from range for a vehicle that is made of a very resilient metal? It’s achieved things like wireless steering and with super car performance and any other company this would be at least a 200k vehicle!

Reading the threads below, I'm not sure how the age has anything to do with respecting the engineering that went into this breakthrough. They are putting in this truck stuff nobody has been able to build into a vehicle. Anyway I'm one of the first ones to put my deposits down (only $250 was easy) for a duel-motor and a tri-motor models. I will buy whichever model becomes available. I put my first Tesla order in for Model S in 2012 and upgraded to a 2016 model. There is nothing like this on God's green earth and it's good to be able to drive the best vehicle a common man can purchase. BTW, I'm a retired old guy who worked all my life in operations and manufacturing.

This is the best and most exciting product that came up to the market for the last 100 years at the minimum
Tesla probably hurt themselves some with the insane hype, but I think Musk asks for what seems impossible so the team pushes the limits. Tesla may not hit deadlines/timelines often, but what they deliver is typically something no one else has done yet.
The drive by wire, 48 volt system, and more will likely show up in all their models over the next five years or so. Cybertruck is a real world test of new items.
Going to be interesting to see what owners say after having the Cybertruck for a year. I know many think it is just a fashion statement, but I think by 2026 we will see these being used as work trucks.

If it comes down in price I will consider getting one. I didn't always like them but I think they've grown on me a little. Also, the range is a little on the lower side but hopefullythe efficiency makes up for that. The lightning extended battery is 320 miles and that truck is not that efficient at all so it blows through that capacity like its nothing.

The AWD was what I signed up for and ironically that got better in every way. Not only does it have the longest range now, but the 0-60 got much better. I considered the lightning as a current F150 owner, but road tripping in the Model Y made me... kindof a Tesla fan boy. Sorry Ford, smaller/faster charging batteries and the network means I'm keeping my pre-order.
Speaking of efficiency but failed to acknowledge charging infrastructure for non Tesla charger which is terrible. Range means nothing if there are no reliable charges. Let's imagine a car can go 2000 miles. But there are only 5 chargers in the world. What good is it?

A lot of people don’t know you can do that
I had to replace a window for my model Y and the regular price was $526 installed and I only paid $50 deductible
That’s because I added the Glass coverage under my comprehensive and that cost me an additional $25-$30 every six months
Some insurance companies allow you to get zero deductible, but my insurance agent told me not to get that because if you’re one of those unlucky people that gets three pieces of broken glass in one year, the insurance company will think it’s fraud and they’ll drop you.
Yea I have it on my model Y. I broke the windshield and it was $1,300 but covered under zero deductible

I think it’s overpriced, just my opinion. Tesla does this and I won’t participate. I’ll cancel my very early reservation and continue waiting as the price will drop. My current model X is perfect and has no issues, so I’ll happily keep driving it for as long as it takes. If they had increased price at the rate of inflation I would keep my #3,000 reservation and buy as soon as it comes up, but I will not pay this price.
