@@FreshHas You're insane. The whole interview is tongue-in-cheek. He wasn't trying to "confront" him. He had him on for a funny/amusing segment and then went on his show the same night. As a sidenote, I'm on the right politically, but I found Colbert to be funny when he was doing the Colbert Report, even though he was mocking O'Reilly/Republicans, because it was done in a way that wasn't mean-spirited, it was mockery without anger behind it. The way Colbert turned once he replaced Letterman, on the other hand, turned us all off, because he just became an angry partisan hack whose venom and hatred for Trump and anyone on that side of the aisle was oozing through the screen with each monologue.
@@oldwestcreative83 Hahaha, okay it was "tongue-in cheek", but you can't tell me there wasn't some thrust and parry or hidden venom within their comedic barbs. @@FreshHas @HDhalla I really don't think so. As someone who watched O'Reilly at the time, I honestly think he got a kick out of it. Exactly. John Oliver can still be funny and make decent points at times, despite it all being so politically charged. But I don't even understand who Trevor Noah is doing that show for. He's never been funny. I think if you wake up every day raging at Trump and are a foaming at the mouth SJW, then maybe, watching him could be some kind of stress reliever. But I can't imagine anyone legitimately finding his version of The Daily Show to be funny. It's the same dynamic with Alec Baldwin's impression of Trump on SNL. You can tell he hates the man with a passion. If that's the case, you shouldn't be playing him because it comes across in your character and just looks petty and gross. Previous SNL Presidential impressions (Will Ferrell as George W. 5:47 "How could that possibly happen" cracks me up.
Pat Robertson's protein shake! Bill was so ready to talk he didn't even hear it!
It's hilarious, O'Reilly actually is flattered by the end.
“Jesus Christ, or Pat Robertson’s protein shake” 😂
6:13 "...make me a spaniel at thy gate..." 🤣
O’Reilly : “You must be doing something”
Colbert : “I’m doing you Bill!” Lmfao went right over Bill’s head 😂🤣
"I capture the world in the headlights of my justice."
Absolutely brilliant.
O'Reilly isn't great at the whole humor thing.
2:02 The vocal control, the sass and the audacity, Colbert is finely tuned here.
im a sensitive, kind guy...
ARE YOU COLBERT OR COLBERR!!!!!
I can't quite tell if Bill was being serious.
he is not being serious
At parts you could tell he was, but then he would try to be joking to not look bad.
Daniel C he seemed genuinely kinda pissed at colbert in the beginning
He's never serious.
TehTezMan
Only because the video is in such low resolution, he was holding back a smile.
"I talked to your 3rd grade teacher..." GTFO. This is about as serious as a far side comic.
"Bill.... I can be whoever you want me to be"
😂
Every now and then I come to this video to watch this brilliant sketch, every second of it it's just pure gold!
“Pat Robertson’s protein shake” 🤣
This Still Makes Me Laugh So Hard Even 10 Years Later!! Killing it Colbert!
colbert is hilarious but i think bill deserves credit for playing along so well too. especially the part where he screams, its clearly part of a bit. good on him for having a sense of humor
I miss this Colbert
“They’re giant, marauding, godless killing machines” hahahahaha
lol. bill o reilly thought he had something on colbert with the name pronunciation.
Talk about digging your own grave.
"It's hard for me to be you, I'll tell you that much" 😂😂😂
😂
I think this might be my most favorite interview with anyone ever.
Bill thinking he's got the perfect gotcha lined up with that whole, "are you Irish or French???" mess had major, "since when is Kamala black???" vibes. It says a lot when that's all the controversy they can come up with 😂
Lessons on how to own someone and make them think you're being owned. The ultimate troll. Stephen Colbert ladies and gentleman.
“Check your lawyer” lololol This was great
He is the king of trolling. He needs to write a book.
I feel so sad for every person that hasn't seen this video yet.
'I'm here at the heart of O'Reillydom; this is the holy of holies. Hit it; I'd love to be nailed.' Hahaha XD
“I’m afraid of bears. Owls are a waste of time.” 😂
bill O'reilly "It is hard being me, is it hard to be you?"
Stephen colbert "It is hard for me to be you, I can tell you that much."
This is brilliant!!!
I am not a fan of O'Reilly, but in order to do this, he has to have sense of humor.
To do what? Seemed to me O'Reilly invited Colbert on his show to confront him about his late night emulations on him. He repeatedly tried to discredit/belittle his career as a comedian, and questioned the adopted pronunciation of the mans name.
@@FreshHas You're insane. The whole interview is tongue-in-cheek. He wasn't trying to "confront" him. He had him on for a funny/amusing segment and then went on his show the same night. He's in on the bit, and they're both trading comedic barbs, O'Reilly clearly thought it was funny or flattering at some level.
Or maybe I just like to think they have/had a genuine dislike for each other... Either way I just can't accept their "friendship" or whatever the fuck people call it. Look, Bill seems like the kinda guy that gets easily rattled... that being said he does have a sense of humor as OP said. I give him credit for that.
On your sidenote, I know what you mean there. Despite being on the left, John Oliver and Trevor Noah really make me cringe. It becomes more of an angry rant with insults. There is no wit or entertainment value whatsoever, it's just a bitching platform.
Bush, Darryl Hammond as Clinton) were funny, there wasn't this underlying sense of hate behind it, trying to make the President look as bad/evil as possible, instead they were poking fun at the way they talked or loose stereotypes about them. Night and day, really.
@@oldwestcreative83 This comment changed my perspective on this whole thing. Thank you.
What fuels you!?...Jesus Christ or Pat Robertsons protein shake....LOLLLLLLLL
"I could sit toe to toe with you at a potato table" 😅
Bill makes me cringe.
This continues to be the best video on the internet
