Trains 21 is a documentary of railroading in the 21st century and a look at the fascinating world of transportation. On this channel we deal with all aspects of trains with a strong focus on the Northeast USA.
The goal is for you to learn a lot in a short amount of time.. A major infusion of knowledge in just a few minutes.. And if those few minutes distilled some of the best railroad information in the industry, we feel that we've done our job..
The trick is clarity.. Clear, concise and on point.. New videos are uploaded frequently and if you like what you see, comment, like and subscribe (in that order!).

BNSF has a bunch of geeps with GP30 car bodies usually classified as GP-39's. There's a few in service here in the upper midwest/great lakes region I see working locals and as yard power from time to time.

Trains 21, always a pleasure to listen to your take on locomotive history. Here in Utah I only see Union Pacific. Pennsylvania railroad history is more diverse. Thanks AC.

Recently, I caught a video of CPR 9023 SD-40-2. It was idling alone on a siding.

What about long island G P
38-2 that were used in passenger service, they also started the angled paper air filter box because the original boxes hit the canopy at jamaica station

CR 7776 was a GP 38 working the Pittsburg area back in 1976. The locals there thought it would be a good idea to paint up a bicentennial loco.
    7776 being close to 1776.
The high ups at CR did not approve and 7776 was QUICKLY repainted blue.
Ex EL (CR) SDP 45 6669 made it to about 1979 still in bicentennial paint.

Original GP30 operators: you missed the B&O....the gods will not be pleased. (edited ti add):
one of the main visual differences between the 40-series SD"s vs the Dash 2 versions was the length of the frame which was necessitated by the development of the new Dash 2, 6-axle truck known as the HT-C, Compared to the old Flexicoils, they improved adhesion and traction due to better weight distribution. A 4-axle HT design was also developed, but did not offer much if any improvement vs. the existing swing hanger designs.
