Ice King's story is legitimately tragic. And learning more about Princess Bubblegum really forces you to reassess her character and behavior going all the way back to Season 1.
I couldn’t agree more, I’m currently writing a series ranking and it’s been so eye opening to go back to those early seasons and take a new look at certain characters because of information from later in the show.
AT is my favorite show too, so happy to see content on it from someone whose media opinions i respect so much! Especially happy that you appreciate the season 5-6 era where most viewers fell off, I think season 6 has some of the show's very best. Would love to see more :)

Ngl, my comfort epidode is the finale, "The Ultimate Adventure: Come Along With Me". I remember when the episode aired on CN, I was pretty sad at the time and coming to terms that time keeps going. When BMO started singing "Time Adventure" i was sobbing. But it made me feel better. Things end, but things will continue. 🎶 will happen, happening, happen 🎶
I think the finale is definitely a highlight of the show and another of my comfort episodes. And I absolutely cried at multiple points watching it too, especially during "Time Adventure".

And yeah for what my thoughts are worth I can really relate to how discouraging unsuccessful videos can be. But for what little it may be worth, I for one would love to see more Adventure Time content, and am looking forward to watching what's next regardless. my religious dad made me stop watching adventure time as a kid so i unfortunately never got the chance to watch this episode! seeing this vid makes me think that i should try finishing the series. i always loved how nonsensical but genuinely touching it could be :,)
Please for the love of god make more of these. The only cartoon that can hang with adventure time is avatar. Good to know I’m not the only one who uses these shows as a coping mechanism😂

If you like Comfort Episodes... Methinks it's time for you to start exploring the Iyashikei genre of anime. Non Non Biyori (3 Seasons) , Yuru Camp (3 Seasons), Aria (3 Seasons) and Super Cub comes to mind (1 season so far)... but you'll probably like Flying Witch too (1 season)

Great video! Have you ever thought about Doug Funny as a young trans girl? That's something I relate to a lot. Doug was dissociating constantly and doing so in ways that seemed to be attempts at trying on masculinity. And I view his infatuation with Patti Mayonaise more as gender envy.
I’ve actually never seen Doug before so I can’t really speak to that, but I always love when people are able to read trans rep into media that’s not know for it, and you make some convincing points here! That would be something for me to look into absolutely.

He now graces my arm in tattoo form.
