Beautiful arrangements! Please find a new publisher if Hal Leonard won't make your works available in standard music notation. Any guitarist who can play this music has been reading music for many years. Nobody wants to flip through 6 - 8 pages of tab to sight-read these relatively short pieces.
@@davidjaggs That would be great and most appreciated! In the past I've scanned music and digitally cut and pasted the standard notation portion into a new document, but it is tedious and labor intensive.
Yes, I would have to agree, I also find tab very distracting, and in some instances the score lacks fingering suggestions because of the tab. Some software can suggest questionable fingering when using tab. I have also previously cut & pasted to have a working copy. I think the vast majority of guitarists learning these advanced pieces will be more comfortable with standard notation. However, it does not detract from my appreciation for these wonderful arrangements and a great accomplishment.
@@philparker97 I appreciate this view. I can assure you that every note, both score and tab, has been manually put in by me, fingerings too, and double checked by a genius editor.
Hi there, David. Good news. Today I have received 2 of your books which I ordered las week: film scores and 20 popular songs. I'll tell you how I am getting on.
if you ever contemplate making a follow up book of guitar pieces from movie's ,please consider the guitar piece from the 60's film "Deadfall" by John Barry. God, I love it .and no one on RUclips has ever done a cover of it. If you do, please let me know as I would very much like to learn this song. I bloody love your playing by the way. Cheers
Sure would love to buy this to listen to. I don't play guitar, i just listen and enjoy. This is truly exceptional playing. Let me know if you out these movie themes on a record or download for purchase.
If you ever have a volume 2 off this series, can you include the Force theme from the original Star Wars? There are some great possibilities from John Williams file scores. Just a thought… Thanks for all you do David!
@@davidjaggs the number of books you are developing is growing quite large, but no complaints! I need to double check if the books have spiral binding so they lay flat on a music stand.

Thanks!
Beautiful arrangements!! If you decide to do a Part 2 movie themes book, would you perhaps
consider selections from the movies "El Cid" and "Ben Hur"?
I certainly will if they ask me!

Congrats on the accomplishment! I wish you had included Chi Mai by Morricone too.
I was only allowed 3 Morricone! I wanted the Mission too!
@@davidjaggs I see, That's a tough decision! Morricone deserves more that 3 to be fair!
Thanks very much. It sounds just great!
🙏 thanks for watching.
Wonderful.

No spiral binding!
@@davidjaggs bummer! But the books are still worth it. 🙂
