That scene between Sam and Peggy was perfectly written. Years and years of built up resentment and anger came flowing out. Kim Medcalf did a phenomenal job.. Daniella didn’t have the range.
I agree very powerful scenes between Peggy and Sam. Peggy wanted to know straight if Sam killed Den and buried him under The Queen Vic and Sam said no and that was all Peggy needed to know. In my option Kim Medcalf’s Sam Mitchell was totally different from Daniella Westbrook’s Sam Mitchell. Kim portrayed a more mature and business like Sam who Phil put his faith in to look after the Mitchell empire when he was sent to prison in 2003. Even tho she lost it all because of Den’s meddling Phil still trusted her. Ik for a fact he’d have never left his businesses in the hands of Danielle’s Sam as she portrayed a selfish and childish Sam
Danniella didn't have the range, but her Sam and Kim's Sam are basically two entirely different characters (which is the problem with recasts). Danniella's Sam was another Roxy, while Kim's was more of a Ronnie - albeit with less of Ronnie's shrewdness and worldly wisdom.

My daughter's birthday is on the 22nd September. She would of been 18 when this episode was on. She watched EastEnders since she was born, used to stand right up against the telly and dance to the EastEnders tune ❤
Den and Johnny were the best villions in this show ! This was when eastenders was exciting and worth to watch , the soaps are not the same anymore like they where here can't believe this is nearly 20 years old now good memories.
That was definitely self defense! What was Chrissie supposed to do let that piece of💩 kill her instead? The way he attacked her he deserved just what he got. Her only mistake was just like Kat told her she should have told the truth. Called the bill told what happened instead of burying him and blaming others. She didn't have a very good solicitor by any means, she shouldn't have gone down years for murder. Peggy talking about tell Den you're sorry the only one responsible for his demise was Den if Chrissie hadn't handled him she could have been in that grave maybe she should have been sorry she married that 🦨
@@sarahwynn6486 The reason he was attacked and laying out was because he was attacking Chrissie violently. When he woke up he was about to go for her again. Now she could have been very stupid and let him attack her again angry as he was who knew how that could end for her instead she attacked him first and I say good for her and it still was self defense or self preservation whatever and she shouldn't have served a dsy because he started that violence.
Chrissie was so horrible to frame Sam for Dens murder putting Sam in prison. Hope the roles are reversed with Sam released and free while Chrissie gets put behind bars in Sam's place. Chrissie is evil.
Sharon was unbelievable. Dennis was supporting her as he was meant to but den was awful to him over and over. Should Dennis have pretended they had the relationship she and den had? Sharon was always patronising and speaking down to dennis, sanctimonious and selfish. She wanted to force feelings on Dennis he didn't have. It was her way or no way. Maybe he had mommy issues and liked it
I've got a huge mystery to solve. I know for a fact that the first time the episode was broadcast, the scene with Dennis listening to music was longer, and he wasn't listening to the song we hear in this video, but to Father and Son by Cat Stevens, which made more sense and was much more heartbreaking. Anyone know where I could get my hands on this original version, just to prove that I'm not mad? 😀

“Maybe you should lend them your doorstop” oh the irony 😂
Unfortunate choice of words. 😅😅😅
I like Mickey's husky voice
😂😂😂😂
This is why Peggy owns.
One of the best things Peggy ever did at the end
This episode should’ve been known as “CHRISSIE WATTS… MURDEWAHHHHH!!!!”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
❤❤❤❤❤

21:16 That scene with Samuel Barber playing was brilliant. Dennis' conflicted feelings towards Den is clearly visible here.
Chrissie was so horrible to frame Sam for Dens murder putting Sam in prison. Hope the roles are reversed with Sam released and free while Chrissie gets put behind bars in Sam's place. Chrissie is evil.
It did happen eventually, you'll be pleased to hear.

I'm glad you've noticed too. Poor Dennis,he should of gone his own way.
The BBC Classic EastEnders.
That episode bought eastenders back to the front line after 2 1/2 years of being weak...

I wish Peggy and Den would have interacted
Could you do 23rd September 2005?
That was weird of Chrissy to attend her husbands funeral when she was involved in his murder.
9:54 love that part😭
Wonder if they ever thought of bringing Den back as a ghost.
I don't think that will even happen because Leslie Grantham died in real life in 2018
BRING BACK CHRISSIE GREAT ACTRESS ❤❤
Isn't this the episode Peggy returned after being out for a year or two?
They are the Moomins
Hahaha she fell in the hole! 😂😂😂

Eastenders - this plane of existance and the Queen Vic, like the goddess Sophia looking over what her son has done.
