looks beter than the previous. glad u didn't stain the inside.
also professional pipe makers swear by disk sanders as it has a sturdy backing in comparison to a belt sander.
i also wonder wat wood u ended up using?
i suggested birch burl, and to me it looks like it but i can't be sure.

Yes you are right. Was considering Briar to my next pipe, but when I came up with the idea I needed some wood with more details, so a birch burl was perfect for this one. The bowl will burn away faster than a briar pipe, but I dont smoke too often so it dosent matter:) Thank you for your comment!

@@runemoe9559 Did you consult a wood toxicity chart before this? You really need to. Birch is an irritant AND a sensitizer, meaning the more you use it, the more irritant it will be in your lungs. PLEASE PLEASE do research on your materials for smoking pipes!

Next pipe i advise you to replace the stain for leather dye alcohol based. That is non toxic. And sins you have a buffer you can use pure hard beeswax or hard canouba wax for the first 2 buffings and than after the buffing you can put your soft wax/oil mix and rub it with cloth. You wil get that new pipe look with a mirror finnish.
I really like how the pipe looks and if you are into pipe smoking i can help you with that. I am a pipe maker my self and a pipe smoker. If you ever want to know something just ask.
    Greetings from the Netherlands,, Kitty.

Yeah, matches on a windy day requires years of practice. The pipe actually acts as a wind harbor of sorts if you don't fully pack it. Turn back to wind. AND, when smoking a pipe, never face towards the wind. Loose an eye.

@@springersshop5839 Because first of all the pipes are made with briar, or olive wood or morta wood or strawberry tree wood, that's because they are hot resistant, then as you can see the final shape is an horrible example of fake wood trunk. If you make a research here on you tube how to make a real pipe there so many videos to take as an example. There's a video of Ascorti pipe (one of the greatest pipe maker in the world) and there you can see what I mean.
