07 5.9 making 810whp and running a 11.9 in the qtr mile at the time. I did the grid heater delete and saw virtually no change in my track times. Hope this helps someone

5.9 guys don't need a grid heater delete . They dint expieremce the same death bolt as the 6.7 , however, on my 6.7 I deleted mine and had no issues starting down to -10f , once it hits around -20 it would crank for a while
I live in south Texas and when it got down to 14 degrees (which is really rare for us) my 6.7 Cummins busted off without the grid heater. I just disconnected the cable from the solenoid to the grid heater - no programming necessary.

I have a delete kit coming in Tuesday for my 06 5.9, I had some electrical problems out of mine causing a grounding issue, so I completely unhooked it from battery and the little solenoid as well, it was snowing out and was about 10 degrees, mine started same timeframe as yours & warmed up just fine, heated seats do help in the winter lol but ya mine started up fine and heated just fine. 🤷♂️
Faster warmup,the heater cycles on and off to help with engine warmup

Hey do you think the dual intake slotted 6.7 intake manifold plate would work on our 5.9 trucks? And then put a dual intake tube elbow on it? Just wondering always liked the look of them and if it would help with air flow and or bolt up to ours?
So, it will bolt on if you got a new intake horn, plentem, and a new fuel rail and fuel lines. It looks nice, but there is basically no performance change.
